Je suis allée à ce resto car j'avais encore faim après avoir mangé à un autre resto sur la même rue alors j'ai juste commandé un plat de riz frit et de calmarts frits. Le riz était très goûteux. Le plat de calmars n'était pas ce qu'on s'attendait d'un restaurant chinois, mais très bon quand même. Ils étaient croustillants et avaient bon goût.

Nous sommes tombés sur une journée très achalandée car il y avait un grand groupe qui était arrivé avant nous. Donc l'attente a été très longue (près d'une heure). La serveuse nous a offert un rabais par elle-même en compensation pour l'attente, ce que nous avons apprécié.

The chicken pad thai was dreadful with a puke-enducing amount of fish sauce. Direct-to-garbage.

Good food for good prices. Authentic flavours. The pad Thai has petrified something. So not my thing, but authentic. Service is definitely present. Just not western.

Bonne découverte pour nous ce soir a chaque assiette qui sortaient de la cuisine vers la salle j avais envi de gouter.on a pris du take-out et on a jouer la carte safe avec un wonton un poulet gtao et un riz frit.tout etait super bon.faire du poulet frit comme ca c est de la job, bonne portion bon prix.merci

Je regarde toutes les photos. Moi mes plats ne ressemblaient vraiment pas à ça, grosse déception. Le Riz frit aux crevettes, poulet et porc qui ne doit pas avoir de sauce soya (gauche mon riz, droite leur site web) était d'un brun très foncé. Le reste les légumes trop cuits avec un goût intense de fécule qu'ils mettent pour lier la sauce

To be honest, I didn’t tried the food, so I cannot rate my experience with eating the restaurant’s food (I only eat halal food) but all of my friends loved it! The service was excellent! I recommend this to people who love Chinese food!

As a Verdun restaurant owner I wanted so badly to love Hong Mere. Unfortunately it was the worst food I have ever had. Literally inedible. Maybe I caught them on an off day, but I was shocked at how bad it was. Super expensive as well. 65$ literally in the trash. What a shame.

Honestly the food is great generally when you pick it up, but this time we took delivery, and it took over 2 hours to get here, and it was ice cold and soggy ($70 in the garbage) because it probably sat at the restaurant forever. They never answer the phone either so the only way to get any service is showing up to the restaurant in person. Change the delivery service ASAP or remove the option if you won’t do it properly.

Excellent Chinese food. The real thing not the American chain knockoff. Generous portions at very reasonable prices. Dined here a few times and everything we ordered was very good. Will be back whenever we are in Montreal. As with many Montreal restaurants this one is BYOB.

Amazing authentic Chinese place in Verdun. Love the pork knuckle and wood ear veggie dish. Actually, can't go wrong with anything!

I'm sure they have good food, but I couldn't try them because they have horrible service. We were waiting for a table, and the staff did not acknowledge or talk to us about the waiting. Nothing.we were invisible for like 10 mins. So we see ourselves out and look for a different place to eat.

Food is very good and fresh, but I've always gotten delivery, so can't comment on atmosphere.

General tao tres savoureux, très bon porc croustillant a l'ananas aussi. Service rapide, portions genereuses. Je recommande!

Goût, prix, variété, délicieux. Je recommande fortement.
Mais personne n'a encore parlé de la LUMIÈRE? Sérieusement ça brûle les yeux et ce n'est pas chaleureux du tout, du genre section des cosmétiques au Jean Coutu.
Aussi ils ne viennent jamais débarasser les assiettes vides. Si je reste pour parler pendant une heure, les assiettes sales restent là pendant une heure.
Mais la bouffe est vraiment bonne:)

Have eaten dine-in with more authentic dishes which were good. Ordered take out tonight (classic Canadian-Chinese options) and it was fairly disappointing. Nothing terrible but not great; the fried spinach was a bit soggy and didn't have much sweetness, the General Tao almost had no sauce to speak of, and the peanut butter dumplings were bland. The ginger pork, hot and sour soup, and wonton soup were better and closer to what I expected. Maybe the moral of the story is I should order off the trodden menu a next time (again).

Les plats sont vraiment délicieux et très abordables. Les portions sont généreuses. Le service est excellent.

I think the braised pork was nice. They have menus that you can't find in common Chinese places. However, some foods are really bland for chinese food. It is a good Chinese restaurant for wellington.

Delicious, big portions, quality meats and seafood. Prepared well and according to your preferences. Highly recommended.

Les plats étaient délicieux! Nous avons prit un pad thai et le ''Stir Fried Tofu with Spicy Bean Sauce, Bell Pepper, Onion and Peanut'' pour emporter. Le tofu était savoureuxxxxx. Aussi le rapport qualité-prix est bon -les portions sont généreuses.

First time! Ordered sesame chicken, soups, rice, and greenbeans. 1 hour and 20 minutes later thay arrived with rice, green beans, and one soup.

Yummy beans. Everything is super good.but not supper for 3 like we ordered. Super hungry and disappointed, and now I have to go cook something.

The food is barely ok, not worth it. Flavorless and tasted old. We took the Sesame beef (the most dry meat ever), the calamari and the spring rolls (tasted old and like burnt oil), it was a one time thing. Not planning on ordering again.

Had the most terrible experience ordering from this restaurant on skip the dishes app. Took about two hours to get here, and the restaurant had the audacity to complete my order without delivering my food after a wait time of an hour an a half. So i decided to call the place to see what happened and why i hadnt gotten my order and they told me because i hadnt tipped while making my order through the app (ps like any normal person, i tip AFTER receiving my order/when the service has been completed/delivered) safe to say i will NEVER be ordering nor going to this restaurant ever again. I cant believe this place actually expected a tip after billing me and NOT delivering my order. If you do not know how to use the skip the dishes app or have basic common sense. Just remove yourself off the app. That simple. Im absolutely appalled.

Decided to order some food on the UberEats app since they were close by and the prices were very good (although I had no idea how big the portions were), but MAN. I regret ordering so much. If you're alone, don't order more than one or two things. They really don't chill with the portions. Only managed to eat 1/3 before having to store the rest away. Oh, and I really appreciate how everything was separated in plastic containers. That way things didn't get mixed up and soggy. The only bad thing is that the wait can be long, but if you're not in a extreme hurry, it's a very nice place to order from

The food was pretty tasty, with good portion sizes. Very good basil eggplant. Only thing - beware of their vegetarian section if you don't want meat. A lot of dishes that are marked as vegetarian in the menu have pork (but at least it's mentioned) - but the beancurd we ordered also had generous slices of pork though it wasn't part of the description at all.

Fills any craving for chinese take out. Its not really healthy, and its over-salted and greasy, but compared to alot of chinese take out, its pretty good. The dinner for one is a good deal - you'll have some left overs, which is great cause you'll be hungry about an hour afterwards. The vegetables are nicely a little crunchy. Soup very clear salty broth, and the wontons have too much wrapping (2 star wonton soup). Overall if you are craving decently priced chinese take out, its the best in verdun.

Place is cheap and delicious! They also delivered to us in verdun very quickly in about 15 mins

Possibly the best Chinese in the neighbourhood, although I mostly order things off of the non-western menu. If you order one of the larger soups, be prepared to get an ENORMOUS soup for a very reasonable price. Dumplings will not set your pants on fire, but they are very nice and homemade.

Umm. WOW. So this is not your typical Chinese restaurant. They seem to have their own spin on things. I've walked past this place dozens of times, never really having the courage to place an order. Tonight was the night. And WOW! Very fresh, HOT, and generous portions. Everything was flavorful and freshly cooked. You could tell that they use their own recipes vs using a canned sauce.

I followed recommendations and ordered the peanut butter dumplings. Never had anything like it! What a pleasant surprise.

Very pleased. Can't wait to order again!

I don't want people to know this place because its so good.

If you only eat general tao and beef broccoli, its still good here but you're losing out on a bunch of other specialty items that you don't see anywhere.

I suggest:
La Pi salad
House chicken
Braised porc with quail eggs
Anything with Yu Tsiang sauce.

Ask for recommendations.

Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. Owners are kind and courteous.

Just ordered for the first time tonight. Got the General Tao chicken combo, came with a Won Ton soup, a ton of veggies, rice, 2 spring rolls, a soft drink and the chicken. All of it was really good and in good portion sizes for the price.

The only bad thing I have to say about this place is it'd be great if there would be more "combo" options! I would have loved to try a bit more on the menu, but in small portions bundled up!

Get ready for some delicious homestyle cooking! The spicy dishes are the best ones on the menu, so stick with that (etc.szechuan style fish stew, spicy chicken chucks with bone in to name a couple). The serving staff are very knowledgeable and the cooks are top notch. You will not be disappointed if you are open to chinese food beyond general tao's chicken.
