POLINA Pizzeria

Delicious pizza. Lots of tables in a relatively small space. Nevertheless, the food came quickly and the prices are rather cheap for Quebec.

This was our first time to Quebec city from Ontario. We were nervous that we would have a tough time as we don’t speak very good french, however the staff made it comfortable. The food was beyond amazing, the Alfredo was the best we have eaten. We were going to skip on the dessert but after our server Fred and some locals had encouraged us to try the tiramisu, we were not disappointed! We would like to thank Fred especially for his friendly and amazing service for making our experience awesome. We will be coming back in the future and recommending everyone!

We came on the recommendation of a countryman who we found while we were visiting the city. It turned out to be a very good recommendation. The Polina pizza is very rich (it has a bit of spice).

Really great place to eat. The food seems to have good quality ingredients, and everything tastes amazing.

Food was very good but a female server was very loud especially with people with verbal accents, she was fixing their verbal English and making diners feel uncomfortable.

Awesome food and awesome service by our waiter, Remi. Remi greeted us with a smile and was very accommodating with our requests. We ordered the pizza and pasta which was fresh and made to our liking. The restaurant was kind enough to make modifications to our food. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Second time here. Pizza, salads, antipasta, garlic bread all excellent! Equally excellent was the service! And the ambiance very pleaseant, both upstairs and down.

Never have I ever been to a food establishment where they refuse to takeout food. Waited patiently in the line at the door, saw restaurant’s phone number printed on a bold banner/ sign next to the door and called them to order on the phone to take away food. Lady behind the bar counter picked up the phone and politely declined request to pickup the food order and suggested they were busy but could send the Manager to speak with me.

Manager also refused to takeout food as they were busy? But was okay if we dined at the establishment

Speedy and polite service in French and English plus fair price considering the neighborhood. Pizza was well made and authentic. Coffee and espresso was poor quality, order wine instead.

We got the scallop appetizer- you get about 4 normal-small pieces for $19. The pizza wasn’t good, super thin crust but not gourmet, more like flaky. Reminded me of frozen pizza. The coke was flat. We waited a looong time for the pizza, too. Better options out there.

N'allez pas là-bas, nourriture bonne mais personnel dans l'illégalité et antipathique quand il s'agit de payer et du pourboire, ne ressemble pas à un restaurant dans un pays civilisé

Tenia moltes ganes de menjar pizza i hem vist que una de les opcions era el Polina. Tenen per escollir entre tres mides i amb la més gran ja et quedes bé. He provat La Boscaiola, molt bona! A més ens ha agradat molt el tracte, i són molt atents. Un dels seus plats estrella és el "Cape Santé con senape" (vieires amb mel i mostassa).

Une fois installés, nous avons patienté assez longtemps avant d’être servis. Les plats sont bons, cependant j’ai déjà mangé des Marguerita meilleures que celle-ci, un peu déçue. Le personnel est aimable et l’ambiance dans la salle est sympa.

Service was great but the pizza was very subpar, we had the margarita pie. Maybe my opinion is skewed coming from NJ.

Very enjoyable, friendly BILINGUAL waitress. Entire meal experience was DELICIOUS - especially the "creme brule".

Good food and good service but taking the tip without informing customer is not good. She didn’t even ask or say about it. She directly added it on the machine and told to swipe the card. That was bad experience. Overall the food was great.

Dur à battre pour les pizzas! La croûte était parfaite, pas trop mince et pas trop épaisse. Un bon mélange de fraîcheur et de saveurs. Jme souviens plus du nom de celle que j'ai pris, mais il y avait du fromage La Sauvagine! Les calmars frits en entrée, très bon! À reconsidérer quand j'aurai le goût d'une bonne pizz en ville!

No French? Alexandra was our lovely hostess who was happily switching languages making our dinner less tense and putting the “only did school French “ Australians at ease! We started with a great Quebec cider and local red beer and Pinot noir accompanied by excellent bruschetta with 3 toppings. I had the French Onion Soup (excellent) and my husband had a pizza with generous toppings. The evening was made comfortable by observing the efficient team work of the Staff and their effort in making families with babies and toddlers. In a tourist area this was a pleasant surprise. Bravo!

Food was good, staff was okay. The amount I tipped was lower than 15% so the waiter pointed it out and made us all uncomfortable. Please read the reviews here about 15% tip before going. The owner should be a little subtle about tipping. 4.3 is an okay rating in this part of the city. The owner should take notes.

Nous avons eu un excellent service et la pizza a dépassé nos attentes.

Petit restaurant dans le vieux-Québec chaleureux, calme et agréable.

Here we go again with the rude service from the waitress. I brought the visiting scientist from Czech Republic to lunch at appli à and she got scolded for paying the TIP as if you don’t get a regular salary here. When I asked to sit on the empty table (with big sofa rather than a small chair) this waitress refused. I should’ve brought the first time visitor to Canada here. I’ve regretted.

Je vous conseil de prendre le grand format de pizza, pour la petite différence de prix entre petite, médium et large, prenez une large! Le poulet parmigiana était succulent! Les prix sont relativement élevés mais juste pour le vieux Québec!

The server FORCED us to tip even when we were disappointed with the service. They forgot our pizza and we had already finished the food before they brought it to us. I had to remind our waiter and THEN he went and brought it. He wasn’t particularly friendly or anything either. We paid our bill and he told us we had to tip him even when we said we didn’t want to. He didn’t even let us pick how much we wanted to tip. It ruined my day honestly and I didn’t see a reason for him to force us to tip even after the service was mediocre at best and the food was okay.

Well if you have time to kill definitely this is your place!
After one and half hours of waiting I ask the waitress were was our food and she said it was coming soon she said there was only 2 people in the kitchen but the 5 tables that came after us got there food with in 40 minutes and the food was not even worth waiting specially when is not home made and it a product out of a box pizza as well not done there!
The pizza was burnt and our veal Parm wasn’t cook properly my dish was poor at best meaning my dish was the best at the table!
Ohh one last thing as I’m finishing my meal it what I thought it was the owner or manager sprayed some Chemical on the table behind us and sprayed us as well not knowing what was going on we said nothing but it was just a horrible experience for us some times sorry doesn’t cut it

I think this place was fantastic. We are a Family of four with 3 picky vegetarian eaters. We three had the spaghetti Alfredo and it was trés Bien! My 8yr old was only sad that he couldn't fit it all in his tummy. They do not have a kid's menu, but they will half the pasta portions and charge less.
Our server was Charles (I hope so! I didn't write it down) and he was very nice and spoke English very well. Yum!

Our server wasn’t helpful at all and our food came late. I saw many people taking about how they forgot dishes, they did the same with us. I also read through the reviews and all they can reply with about the way they forced us to tip is that it was ADVISED to tip your service. Sure it’s advised, but I don’t have to follow it. Tipping is optional ESPECIALLY when the service was bad and we were ignored when we tried to ask where our order was. The waiter got mad at us for not paying a tip and brought the machine back with the price he wanted to us pay. It was $25+. You get paid your wage and you have other customers, I don’t see why I was forced to pay for bad services, unfriendly waiters, and late food. Eat somewhere else, I promise you can find better food there.
