Great grocery store near my house. I shopping every other day, Staff are friendly and helpful both in French and English. It was easy to navigate and had a lot of options for take home sandwiches, sides, fruit and drinks.
Students: Go there on Mondays, ask them to get 10% in PC optimum points (their loyalty program). For self-serve you need to ask for an employee still.:) It's good enough
M. Juneau
A bit expensive to be compared with IGA and maxi stores.also I found these issues here that the expiration date of the non veg there is always almost about to expire. And green beans always get rotten in 2 or 3 days.
Good location not beyond that For the price of $100 for breakfast, I would expect there to be vegetables and at least eggs of my choice (there are only scrambled and hard-boiled eggs) The selection is really poor
The worst thing there is their politic to not let the plastic bag at the free service cash because they fear people will steal them. You have to ask them at the cashier responsible of the free service. They even did put the full responsibility to that cashier, charging them the bags, even if it’s probably useless since they have insurance. The result was harassment from them to not forget to pay for the bags.
That kind of bad management is a sign that customer are not their priority. Treating us as if we were thief’s by default. Very disgusting.
Ordered my son's birthday cake from here. We had the banana bread with peanut butter filling. It was very moist and flavourful. The icing wasn't too sweet. It was so good I actually had 2 pieces! I will definitely be getting all of my cakes from here from now on. No more icecream cakes for me.
A well stocked supermarket. They have very courteous staff and a loyalty card. A great store for students living in the McGill residences and ghetto area.
Classic grocery store with higher than average quality but also higher than average price. This location is nice because the hot food takeout has products later than 5 where some stop serving around 5
I was looking for broccoli rabe, but there was no broccoli rabe to be found. They had plenty of broccoli, but it was the rabe that I craved. Crestfallen, I settled for kale instead and consoled myself with some Spice Tailor curries as well. It's a supermarket, but the hunt for broccoli rabe in this city is a big challenge.
Seems like your normal provigo, layout might be a bit confusing if you don't come here often. They force you to take a cart during covid, even if your only going to buy one item.
Had to wait in line 5mins to wash hands because 2 of the 4 sinks were broken. Must leave shopping trolley at entrance but the security doesn't recognize the owner of the trolley after paying because no card number were given. And had to wait for a shopping basket to be available.
So I arrived at the store checkout and the lady with curly hair and glasses at express line finished checkout for the previous customer and went away to the other side of the counter with lotto. Let’s be honest we all know it’s a expensive store (for what it sells) and the only reason we still shop here is for convenience. Today I need a fast checkout and Provigo simply doesn’t have the capacityfor such an easy thing. IF THE MANAGER IS READING THIS, THIS IS COMPLETELY NOT OKAY!
This site has impressed me, especially for its excellent customer service. Employees are very attentive, including the owner, who today accompanied me to my car to help me carry the shopping bags. We need more bosses like this man.
Neighborhood it's located at is dirty, no wonder hand washing stations are required upon entering, for hand sanitizers won't be enough. Pretty generic marchandise one can pick up anywhere else. No parking that i could find.
Nice experience I really like the Moroccan warm and welcoming staff Removed one star for the staff members that bump into you not respecting the social distancing
Store was nice, prices were as expected, but the attendant on self serve did not volunteer to be pleasant, understanding or helpful and had to be asked several times before she would even answer. There was no paper in the receipt machine and I had to ask and got, IMO, the look as she replaced it, otherwise shopping at this store was quite positive.
Convenient supermarket downtown. It is not located in the greatest area, but you will see nothing out of the ordinary if you have ever lived or visited a larger city. Reasonable pricing.
The Worst Provigo ever. Rude no respect at customer no help at self check out. No bags you have to go ask for which is ridiculous. Employees at the fruits section are having a party. Compare to metro on Notre-dame with newly high tech self check out with bags on the machine and smiling employees. The guy who talk at the microphone that the door on jeanne mance is closing in 10 minutes is that really necessary? This place need renovation and a complete refresh.
