Pub Bishop & Bagg

It's rare to get such quality and inspired food in a late night joint, but I guess that makes Bishop & Bagg a culinary unicorn! Great beer and delicious steak!

Came across this Gin bar and happened upon 2 seats at the bar. Joined the trivia night and had a great time. Joey, the excellent bartender, guided us through to find several different local gins we enjoyed. Highly recommend.

Favorite local bar in town. The garlic potatoes are delish but Trivia night on sundays is even better!

Visited from out of town. Best gin selection and best gin I have ever had, which was local to Quebec. Staff was also very knowledgeable and awesome.

Went there on a Friday evening. All tables inside were full, so we were offered a table outside in the little yard, which was fine. We asked the waitress whether it would be possible to turn on the heater, and she said that she would check with her boss (why does she have to ask her boss about something so simple?). The boss said yes, so all was good.
Seated outside, we asked the waitress if she would turn on the heater (why did we have to ask again?). After 5 mins more without any heat, we asked the waitress once again (hmm). After 5 mins more without any heat, I decided to try to turn it on myself, and then a manager arrived and helped me. Unfortunately there was no gas, so they could not turn it on as promised (why don't they have a spare bottle ready?).
We had still not been asked what we wanted, so we tried to get the waitress' attention, and asked if we could order food and drinks. She said "Yes, of course", and came over right away (why didn't she come by right away herself? Of course the place was busy, but still).
We ordered burgers and drinks. Once orders were placed, the food and drinks turned up faster than any fast rood restaurant (very impressive)
The burgers and side dishes were really awesome.
Had the waitress been more attentative, and had they had a spare bottle of gas on hand for the heater, I would have given them 5 stars - but not today

Friendly staff, great atmosphere, knowledgeable bartender, and tasty snacks. What's not to like?

Amazing pub, I love coming here! Their drinks are all amazing and they have a comprehensive list of liquors, pleasant staff, good times all around. The music can get a bit loud sometimes, but it’s always a lively time.

By far one of the best pubs in the city. Great staff, cozy atmosphere, and always a fun time. Whether you’re there for brunch or evening drinks and grub, the cocktails and food items are consistently delicious, AND great value for the beautiful presentation and quality.

I’ve been here a number of times since discovering it a few months back, and I’ll continue to introduce this pub to people I know.

They also serve a great English breakfast, which is reason enough to warrant repeat visits. (Always too excited to dig in before getting the chance to take a pic!)

While the menu isn't huge, what is on offer is fantastic. The burger changes regularly, apparently, but it was one of the single best burgers I've eaten in years, without exaggeration. Lovely atmosphere, great staff and Covid compliant!

I love this place. It's definitely a British style pub but the menu is an incredible take on pub fare and always offering something new. Some of the best brunches I've had are here. It's always packed but worth the wait to get in.

Excellent service, Megan is a rock star. The burger is insane and I can't wait to go try some gins. I think they have the biggest selection of gins in Canada.

I order the fish and chips. Delivery was fast, the fish was hot and delicious. My only complaint is the fries, they were too salty, I had to shake them before I could eat them. I will definitely order there again.

This used to be our go-to brunch place back when we could still go out to restos and it was safe. I would always get a caesar and usually a benny but I would also experiment with other food items now and then and was never disappointed. Once the world gets back to normal this will be one of the first places I hit up.

We absolutely adore this place. Their food is bomb. We had everything on the menu, from salmon to burgers, fish and chips, jerk chicken, lamb kebabs, pasta, parmesan wings, onglet de boeuf.and everything has been perfect so far! Love their Sunday weekly quiz with Mart or Morgan. Service is AMAZING (we love you joey and nick) and their home beer is the best! Music and atmosphere = always on point. Their gin collection is huge and the waiters are always very helpful and make good recommendations. They even make their own tonics weekly! In short, this is the perfect pub. A lil pricy but SO worth the price so it's fine!

Un bon pub, avec une carte proposant un large choix. Des produits frais très bien préparés. Et une bonne ambiance et un bon service. Tres bon expresso. Bref super satisfait donc à refaire avec son gang.

We went there for food and drinks. The food menu is very nice and diversified. Lamb kebab was very good, as well as the salads. They also have a small and cozy terrasse, but it closes at 11pm. Staff is very friendly. Overall, it was a great experience.

Pardon, j'aime encourager et remercier les restos qui le méritent, mais après 30 minutes d'attente B&B constatent qu'ils ont oublié notre commande et ne prennent pas la peine de s'excuser. Not even an apology for forgetting our order. Fortunately there are lots of other places to go in the neighborhood.

Great small pub in the mile end. I've bunched early, and drank late. Great brunch food and good ceasars!

Tried the croquettes, hanger steak, jerk chicken. Everything was decent but all the sides were extremely super salty and not edible (potatoes, coleslaw). Ice cream sandwich was delicious.

The food delicious! Adequately diverse menu to choose from. Service quick and with a smile ;) Decor quaint, very nice. Drinks, of course, excellent!

Food is really good. Nice flavors. Extensive whiskey menu. Service is decent. Only drawback is that the place is a little tight. Other than that its awesome

It is a good neighborhood pub. Staff is friendly. Place is clean with a fun ambiance. Food is very good. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 4 is that they charged us 3$ extra because we asked for bread with the $16 chicken salad. It's a salad.it should automatically come with bread. Also.it was sliced bread

Bon choix de bières et de plats, ambiance décontractée mais! E bruit (voix et musique) est si fort qu'il faut presque crier pour se parler! A éviter quand on est fatigué.

Généralement bien. Dommage qu'on ment sur le menu en disant que les brochettes c'est de l'agneau alors que c'est du porc.

The hamburger of the day was really good. The price is a little on the high end of a hamburger but delicious non the less.

Joey was very accommodating! The pub had great food, good beer and a free comedy show! Had a great time!

Le genre de place authentique qu'on aime. La bouffe y est intéressante, les bières le sont encore plus. Situé dans notre beau mile-end national, pas trop loin du métro Outremont et juste a coté du boulevard St-Laurent. On peux toujours compter sur leur barman pour nous amener une boisson bien agréable a siroté dans les journées pluvieuse d'automne ainsi que les froides soirées d'hivers.

Great standards and clean, great staff. They could maybe get more adventurous with their bar but everything they serve is well done and I appreciate the trivia night especially.

Very juicy and yummy burgers, super friendly staff and some of the best gin and tonics in Montreal. Tradition meets perfection and an incredible fit within mile end.

Bonne bière, bon choix de gin, de whisky, de vermouth, de rhum etc.c'est vraiment super pour boire un verre autant entre amis qu'en couple. On peut y manger, c'est servi vite et de bonne qualité!

C'est un pub classique: plafond bas, ambiance décontractée, service sans prétention et rapide, bon choix de bières et de whisky.

Le menu est un peu plus élaboré par contre avec des choix un davantage osés et différents. La salade de champignons sauvages, Halloumi et bacon est décadente. Le burger est correct mais les kebabs étaient un peu secs. Les portions sont généreuses, par contre. À considérer si pour dîner.

On y retourne souvent.

This little pub puts out some pretty damned good food, especially considering the size of their little kitchen in the back. Music was good and varied, with an emphasis on blues. A decent collection of beers on tap, even though none of them are anything terribly special. A tiny bit pricey, but average for Montreal, really. Overall, a great pub for a bite ans a pint.
