Amazing food and amazing service. We were travelling from Quebec city to Toronto and stopped by here, we all were super hungry and as soon as we placed the order within 5-7 mins the server started bringing the starters and everything was super delicious.

Food was delicious, great flavour. Not enough meat, too much bone. Lovely servers. Disgusting toilets. Pani puri was too expensive for the amount served.

I had the best Indian food in entire Canada here yesterday. This is so good, much better Chola Bhatura than even Brampton. Thank you!

We just visited the restaurant from Ontario, we found food very tasty and delicious and everything was so good except for the service being not enough to fulfill it on time also because it was pretty busy.

The most unbelievable experience, where not knowing about this place, and just being blown away by the food.
The most homemade cooking in a restaurant and such a wholesome menu.

Everything we ate was really good, especially the baingan bharta. So smoky and tasty. Also the honey chilli ghobi was delicious. Check out Cremerie Meetha afterwards for dessert.

That review is just for Soya chaamp which I ordered yesterday. Worst chaamp which I ever had in my whole life. They put everything to make is delicious, but I think they forgot to cook it. It was totally raw, no flavours inside, either they didn’t marinated it or they just cook the whole piece just like that in the oven without cutting it.
Please improve… wasn’t expecting this quality from Punjab Canteen…

OMG! You should not miss opportunity to eat at this amazing Punjabi restaurant. This is amazingly delicious food place. Must eat here if you are in Montreal! These Kulcha meals are just crazy yummy!

Waste my one hour after placing the order seriously? Really need to work on service timerest open at 10am gave order at 10: 05am now its 11: 05am such a shame guys if you are unable to give the service in the morning you have to open the restaurant late so employees can prep in the morning not that time when customers are waiting from the one hour and you guys are gossiping inside which we can hear outside

I love their food. Especially snacks. There is so much variety in menu plus everything taste so good. Yeah you gotta wait for some time but they have a long line of customers all the time.
Only negative thing i want to mention that servers should work on lil bit more on customer service:)

Worst customer service ever. We came for dine in. And waited 30 minutes to sit because the servers were not cleaning the table instead suggested us to do take out. Had to ask multiple times for the water. The servers were very rude and unprofessional. I don’t recommend this place.

Me and my family all came to Canada over the long weekend and were looking for a good Punjabi place and we came for 3 days I wish we found this place earlier,

Anybody coming to Montréal I will only recommend punjab canteen now. Living in the US Indian food especially punjabi food is not good at all but I would say after india this is THE BEST! Place which actually offered and brought Hot, Fresh and Delicious Punjabi Food and 100% when ever we will be coming to Montréal Canada this is now our main Food place we will be visiting every time.

The service was also amazing they were always smiling and made us feel that we are sitting in Punjab especially there amazing Lassi which after a long time I finally got a fresh home made lassi, some of the things you won’t get in the US.

All in all Everyone coming to Montréal should have this place on the top of their food list ESPECIALLY IF YOU WANT SOME REAL PUNJABI FOOD OUT OF PUNJAB THIS IS THE PLACE! The Pranthas and Amritsari kulchas we’re the best!

The best punjabi food I’ve ever had, even compared to restaurants in Delhi and Punjab. It’s really a cut above the rest, everything we ordered was so tasty and high quality. Wish they were in Toronto!

Worst service ever, unprofessional and rude staff. Even had to ask for water so multiple times. I recommended my friends this place for food, but this service was really unacceptable. Will never recommend anyone for this place anymore.

Amazing restaurant. Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. Ideal for those who wants to experience authentic Indian food. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. Highly recommend.

Previous receptionist was very nice and polite with the customers but this new lady on reception is so rude that you never want to order again from the restaurant. Whether you are ordering on phone or picking the order, this current lady doesn’t behave well. Very RUDE and ARROGANT. I wanted to give zero star for her behaviour but unfortunately there is no option for that. Just Ridiculous!

Reply - Sometimes when i called, it looked like she is in a hurry and speaking rudely didn’t listen to full order and hung up the phone on my face.

Nic atmosphere n friendly staff specially Diksha diiishe always recommend me best thing from the menu. Moreover the surprising thing is this that she always remember my contact number n my name n always know that I will definitely take mango lassi! Worth visiting place.

They have amazing amritsari kulche. Otherwise overall food is ok but not delicious. They don't care about you and from how long you have been waiting. Staff shows little bit attitude, not caring nature

Best brunch! The Chole Bhature & Amritsari Kulcha plates were delicious, paired with a mango lassi! Both dishes were under $10 - great value and made from the heart, authentic & packed with flavour! Highly recommend!

Amritsari kulcha is amazing. 10/10 but I have to be honest, the chicken biriyani was really bad. The chicken was undercooked and a little smelly and the rice had no flavor. It was spicy without the flavor you'd expect from a biriyani. I ended up throwing it away.

Apart from that the Amritsari kulcha and chai were so good I ordered again the next day, but I would stay away from their biriyanis.

Authentic taste, good value, HUGE selection. Take a good look at the reviews - you know it's a good thing when most of the happy customers are of Indian origin. When I visited, I wasn't surprised to see that I was the only non punjab diner for an hour. This is where Punjabis go when they want to eat out.

Warning - if you're not used to spicy food, then ask them to tone it down. I had the chicken briyani - the chicken was tender and the rice supremely flavorful. But spicy. I can handle the spice but someone else would have been crying within minutes. Will return to try the rest of the menu because going to Punjab canteen is saving me a trip to India.

I ordered food last week. The cholle in amritsari kulche were not so great, it was runny not mixed well. The chicken tikka burger was having too much sauce and less of the chicken. Won’t be ordering again

Very delicious Kathi roll, vegetarian burger and other food items. Very polite and incredible staff. Prompt service. 10 out of 5 stars. If looking for best food in area this is the one! Don’t think much!

Can't complaint about the food. It was really yummy!
Had Kulcha, Chole Bhature, Non-Veg Thali and Chaat.
Honestly, everything that I ate, was really tasty. The kids enjoyed Maaza after long.

Though just for my personal taste, the paapdi in Chaat was really hard instead of crispy. Others might like it. But not for me, I would prefer the paapdi being crispy only and not hard.

We visited this place with my friend who lives in montreal and had their food (Aaloo and gobi prantha) which was amazing. We never had this much of delicious food in entire GTA which is known for Indian food. I suggest everyone to visit this place and enjoy their delicious food items whenever you’re in Montreal.

Never seen such value for money when it comes to Indian food.

I would definitely recommend the Biryani. I could eat it without the meat, which itself was perfectly done. Great portion size too!

The mint chutney is the best I've had outside of India. And I've had it plenty of places outside Montréal.

The chicken roll was pretty good too but was eclipsed by the lovely Biryani.
We cleaned the plate looking for stray grains of rice.

Do check them out. You owe it to yourself.

Worst naan I have ever had. First of all, this naan that u call a “kulcha” is not even close to a kulcha. And the worst part about the “kulcha” was the toppings on top of it. It was bitter to the taste, and had a little burnt sensation while eating it

Ordered honey chilli cauliflower from punjab canteen, the cauliflower was not even properly cooked as shown in the picture and although it was honey chilli, there was no single piece of chilli in it. Very disappointed and it is a bad experience for me. 0/10 rating.
