Stephanie is an outstanding portrait photographer! Her work captures her subjects uniqueness and then adds in her artistic touch! Her wall art and heirloom product options are of the highest quality. I can't imagine a better person to work with for newborn, family and child portraits in the Ottawa area! Highly recommend!

Working with Stephanie was a wonderful experience from day one. Once we had selected a location (several to choose from), she helped with finalizing my family's outfits (with backup outfits just in case).

During the actually shoot, she was amazing! We did several posed and natural pictures. She even got a few wonderful shots of my children playing and being themselves. She works wonderfully with children and was able to get my daughters to smile and laugh. We felt completely comfortable with her (picked up a few new jokes too).

At our ordering appointment, she had selected such wonderful shots, it was hard to choose just one (we picked about 15). There were many options for displaying our pictures from frames to photo albums, and even cards.

We will certainly be using her services again for future photos.

Outrageously overpriced. $300 down the gutter since it doesn’t get you any pictures (Stephanie wanted an additional $2k for digital pictures). Very pushy salesperson.

I deal with professional photographers at my job 10-15 times a year. These prices are unbelievable.

$2300 for 20 edited photos + $300 for photoshoot fees (does not get you any photos).

Stephanie was so great to work with. She was so kind and gentle with our baby girl, and so sweet to our toddler who joined for a few photos. Stephanie has a great attention to detail and her photos really capture true beauty. It was very hard selecting what photos to purchase because they were all so beautiful. Stephanie is talented and knowledgeable, I would highly recommend her. We will cherish our artwork forever.

Stephanie was a delight to work with. As new parents, it was great to hire someone so knowledgeable about babies! We felt completely comfortable with her and she was so gentle with our tiny boy. Diaper changes, feeding time, crying spells—they weren’t stressful at all because of Stephanie’s relaxed and understanding nature. The photos were all beautiful in the end and it was tough to narrow down which we wanted to buy! We also bought some canvas prints of our favourite photos and they’re incredible quality. Stephanie is kind, professional, and so talented! I did my maternity photoshoot with her. What a wonderful experience both myself and my husband had. The studio is cozy, and just perfect! Stephanie has a collection of dresses that you can wear during your photoshoot. I chose two beautiful dresses that worked perfectly with the chosen backdrop. Stephanie is a true professional artist. You really only get one shot at newborn photos, so I was very careful to research the person who would have the responsibility to do this for our second and last baby. HOLY! I couldn't be happier with our photos and prints, we got the family and newborn session done, she was so easy to work with that my 4 year old actually asked to have more photos taken! She knows the perfect angle for your face to look skinny, not show wrinkles or dark circles under your eyes, and somehow my husband looks 10 years younger (pre-edit!).

She is a great communicator, laying out the process from the start, explaining that she is a full service photographer (yes they are more expensive than ones who just send you digital copies, you get what you pay for!).

What did full service mean to me? She has the studio set up with all different props and outfits for both you and the baby, she spends as long as it takes to get the photos you want and accounts for feeding times, fussy baby etc. This was so important to this tired mama, I had very little to do ahead of time, other than get my nails done! During the session there was no rush or disruptions. We were there for 4 hours, she had the baby asleep 95% of the time, and planned it so my husband and 4 year old could leave and go play at a park nearby after their photos, knowing when they needed to return. It gets better when the photos were ready. First, she set the proper expectations for delivery time, and beat it. When we went for our viewing appointment Stephanie had all the pictures printed that we'd chosen so we would have a true idea of their quality. She also had several examples for cubes (I bought 2!), and different framing and photo book options that you could see in person. No guessing, no surprises.

Stephanie provides an exceptional service for her clients, I would absolutely use her again, these photos will be on display in our home for decades to come. Thank you!

We absolutely love my newborn portraits! The session was made to be very easy. We didn't have to bring anything or think of anything beforehand, which is perfect with a 2 week old. The owner and photographer has all the cute outfits, blankets and props you could want. The session itself went great! We actually got to sit and rest for a bit while she took pictures of my little one and there was plenty of time to accomodate his needs inbetween set ups too. Before booking the session, the entire process, prices and packages were well explained. That way we had a good idea of what we wanted before the photo session and planned for it in our budget. After the session, we got to look at all of our pictures to choose which ones we wanted to buy and have printed. The quality is perfect! These catupred moments are definitely priceless. The entire experience was very pleasant and we have decided to go back to Pure Natural Newborn Photography to have my little one's milestones captured as well.

I had headshots taken with Steph and they were brilliant. She is very sweet and professional and I loved that the studio was in her home. This made it very welcoming, easy and fast to get our session done. Plus, I loved the end result! I would definitely recommend.

Pure Natural Newborn Photography is by far the best newborn photography in the region. We absolutely love their timeless, upscale style and use of neutrals and textures. We have had newborn photos done for our 3 sons and were beyond impressed each time. Stephanie is truly talented, professional, personable and so very patient. She is not clear with her terms a conditions. She took money from my account and then I applied to my bank and she charged us for administration fees $600. She is rude, no work ethics at all, awful experience for such a memorable moment. My baby’s memory photo are gone since she couldn’t delivery what we asked for and all this process have been a nightmare for us. Not recommended at all. Wish she stop abusing others with her business.

I don't normally post reviews, but I have to say something this time. Not only was the photographer Stephanie de Montigny extremely rude! But the photos aren’t the best quality at all! She is grossly overpriced for the "quality" of pictures she provides out of her in house studio. '

We worked with Stephanie for our newborn shoot for our second child, after coming out of the NICU, and she made it a wonderful experience!

Not only was she one of the most professional photographers I’ve ever worked with, but the pictures were exactly what I was looking for.

She handled my NICU baby calmly, careful, and managed to soothe him to sleep with her baby whisper skills.

I would highly recommend Stephanie!

BE CAREFUL! Seek photography photos elsewhere. Stephanie de Montigny, the owner of Pure Natural Newborn Photography is a genuine piece of work. She has managed to make a business off of scamming new vulnerable mothers through her fraudulent contracts. She is very sneakily unclear about the terms and conditions of her shoots. She retains all legal rights to the photos of YOUR baby (even when you've paid) and will force you into paying an extra +1k to receive the photos of your baby without her hideous watermark. She creates fake promos and uses that as a method to trick you knowing you are literal days post birth. Buyer Beware!
