My favourite hardware store. All on one level, with a surprisingly big selection. Been there a long time and is a historic part of the Little Portugal district.

Great prices and excellent selections. The arrangement of hanging flowers are always beautiful and mixed with various varieties.

Palms are on special.

I am not skilled when it comes to doing fixes in the house.
Whenever I have something that I think I might be able to handle, I come here and ask - they always give a helping hand or advice, and it always gets the job done!

In the most recent experience I've had here, I was trying to fix a leaking faucet, and bought what I thought I needed. BUT, I made a mistake and bought the wrong stuff.
That was not an issue:) I came back, and not only was I able to return the things I accidentally bought (no questions asked) the guy helped me replace a "faucet seat" right there in the store!

Quincaillerie Azores on St. Laurent is truly the best for service and hardware supplies. Their staff is incredibly helpful and they have just about everything you need. I made many visits over the years assisting my McGill daughter get settled into various apartments. This place is great!

We were at the end of a moving-away-from-Montreal day with the car finally packed and discovered we had lost the pin from our bike rack. The owner of Azores Home Hardware so kindly searched through his trove of surplus parts and found us a few pins that worked perfectly. So helpful! It saved our moving day.

I love shopping at Azores so much. They sell lovely Portuguese dishware and have a nice home section. I bought so many quality items for the kitchen that I am beyond happy with. The service is always excellent. I don't live in the Main anymore, but continue to go shopping there when I need something. Awesome place!

If you're worried about covid do not go there. A few of the staff don't wear their mask properly, and this morning, the cashier wasn't wearing one at all. She didn't even attempt to put it on when we came in.

Lots of stuff in there. It's a basic hardware store, but the joy of shopping at Azores is that you can find so much more, from cake pans to hot-dog grilling little machines, to curtains, pieces of patio and other furniture, decorative Portuguese roosters, masks, etc, and the service is always wonderfully warm, with that neighbourhood feel we all love. It's always a great adventure to shop there.

Il FAUT fréquenter cette institution du quartier. Grande variété de produits, excellente sélection pour la cuisine et beaucoup d'options en déco. Tout le personnel est chaleureux et compétent mais Gabriel est particulièrement serviable, de bon conseil et surtout, patient!

The best of the best Home Hardware store

The staff are very knowledgable and super helpful. They have the most beautiful and stunning bathroom in the store. It is so unique that each time we go to Montreal from Toronto, this store is a must to visit. They are the BEST of the BEST Home Hardware store we have ever known. None of the Toronto or Montreal Home Hardware stores could match up to their services.

DON’T GO THERE! This place pretends to be a nice local business, wanting to help you. As soon as you get in, you will meet with all the unfriendly and very unhelpful staff who just want your money and who, in fact, doesn’t give a damn about you. There are a lot of other hardware stores on the Plateau, I really recommend you try other places instead of this one. It really doesn’t desserve our community’s money and encouragement.

I went there to get a fan. I don't know how to build one so the guy offered to build it for me. He was super nice and the staff is very friendly and eager to help. Its the family business hardware store. Thank you so much. Support your local family businesses! Stay safe!

The people that work there are always so nice and knowledgeable. I went in looking for a ceramic cartridge for my faucet. Althought they don't carry the brand I was looking for, the employee worked hard to find me an equivalent model and now my shower works like a charm. Thank you again for your kindness and professionalism, will definetely shop there again.

The best customer service of any hardware store on the Plateau
Really helpful staff, and very reasonable prices for a store this size. I actually enjoy going there to purchase home improvement and household items. They always take the time to give helpful tips on items purchased, and returns with receipts are fast and friendly. The Rona down the street could benefit from an etiquette class from these fine folks. Just saying.

J'aime bien m'y arrêter durant la vente trottoir sur Saitn-Laurent mais même s'ils disent avoir des ventes, les rabais ne courent pas la rue. Vous y trouverez des objets uniques et des marques moins connues mais la gamme de prix est la même que d'autres quincailleries.

Toujours eu un excellent service dans cette quincaillerie. Également grand choix pour la maison et la décoration. Parfois de très bonnes affaires à faire. Pensez à voir le sous-sol.

From reading the other review, I think the shop is maybe fine if you are purchasing but less so if you have a problem with a purchase. I usually buy sodastream refills at this location. Unfortunately, the last tank was sub par. It lasted a little bit more than half as long as usual so I started buying the tanks elsewhere. I happened to be in this shop to purchase another item and thought I would do them the courtesy of giving them my feedback as well as confirming if they were now refilling the tanks instead of selling the legitimate sodastream tanks. The lady at the desk confirmed that the tanks were now filled in-house but was quite defensive, saying at least 3 times that I was the only person with this complaint.which felt as though she was invalidating my feedback. I tried to explain that I was just trying to be helpful and that most people would not take the time or trouble.they would just write a bad review. She would not talk to me after that. Oh well;)

This is the best hardware store, with the friendliest, most helpful staff i've ever had. I live in the neighborhood now, and it is such a relief to have a place that greets you by name, remembers basically everything you've done to your house over the years, and is always there to help with your project or refer you to reliable handymen they have vetted themselves. One very good point to remember: don't just go by what they carry in the store. They can order almost anything, and deliver it for you on the day of your choosing. Very convenient, professional, friendly service.
