Ramen Isshin

Très mauvaise expérience, à la fois au niveau de la nourriture et du service. Comparativement aux deux autres emplacements de ramen sur l'avenue Mont-Royal, c'est de loin la plus petite portion obtenue pour un ramen shoyu. La portion de bouillon était peu généreuse et les accompagnements presque absents. Très décevant pour 20$. Pour le service, la serveuse s'adressait exclusivement en anglais à la clientèle et il fallait insister pour obtenir un service en français. À noter, il n'y avait aucun client s'exprimant en anglais dans le restaurant à ce moment-là. À éviter.

I visited both the Brossard and this location, and I absolutely love it! The Red Dragon ramen is my go-to, and while it's a bit pricier than usual ramen, it's totally worth it. You must try the ramen eggs they are a game-changer. If you're a spicy food enthusiast, I dare you to try the hot pepper. Brace yourself it's a spicy ride.

Server was so sweet he remembered us from last week and offered us shooters. I also remember last year we were waiting in the line for an hour in the cold weather he was giving us hot tea to keep us warm. Favourite ramen place and the food is also amazing!

Si vous aimez manger épicé, la soupe miso dragon rouge est délicieuse! J’ai aimé qu’il y ait des tranches de porc et du porc haché.

Un peu étrange, le dancehall dans une place de ramen; à part ça, la bouffe est bonne et le service est rapide.

Ma deuxième fois ici et je dois avouer, que je ne pas déçu encore une fois. Les nouilles cuit à l’excellence et le bouillon ne laisse pas à désirer. Une perle rare à Montréal. Must-try!

Mon endroit favori pour des ramens sur le Plateau. Tout est très bon, l'ambiance chaleureuse et le service impeccable. Je recommande fortement!

A nice place with very good Ramen. The Tan Tan tastes very robust and is satisfying in a way only Ramen can be.

I got the Spicy Miso Vegetarian Ramen. It was DELICIOUS. Kinton has always been my favourite vegetarian ramen in the city, but not anymore. The broth was creamy, and the noodles held on to it so well. I added an egg, and it was cooked perfectly with a nice gooey centre. I also got the croquettes, which weren't anything special, but still very good compared to other places.

My only complaint about the ramen is that it wasn't spicy enough for me! But I'm sure it's a good amount of spice for most people.

I ordered delivery from DoorDash and it was delicious, I can't wait to visit the restaurant and try a fresh bowl. Was a bit expensive, but worth it.

It's so nice to see all the veg options. Very nice staff. Also the ordering process was super easy and efficient.

Arrivé, la place était vide, mais elle s'est remplie rapidement. La nourriture était fraîche et de qualité. Le bouillon de ma ramen était riche et savoureux.

Absolument excellent! Le ramen était riche et la viande était succulente (je n'exagère vraiment pas). Tout est servi chaud et frais fait rapidement. Il n'y a pas beaucoup de places assises. Heureusement, à 15h, il n'y avait presque personne, mais l'endroit s'est rempli rapidement.

Mention spéciale aux takoyaki qui étaient les meilleurs que j'ai mangés, pareil pour les korokke. L'okonomiyaki était aussi excellent.

However, if a restaurant is going to take dine-in orders via QR code (you should really reconsider this practice), you need to be reading the order notes and complying or providing context on the request. The music was also far too loud to make for a pleasant experience.

Didn't even think to take a picture when I get the food because it looked SO good I needed to dive in!

I got the vegetarian spicy miso ramen! I love spicy, and if you do too- I suggest getting the red dragon sauce on the side! DELICIOUS!

Went here and tried their vegetarian ramen, it was bit too salty for my taste but the flavour was good. The portion was quite generous also. Also ordered fried chicken, it was not the best one I ever had but pretty good.

It was me and my girlfriend’s first time in Montreal and we were looking for good ramen places, we decided to check this one out and it was worth it. The garlic ramen tasted really good. They even serve rice beer which I’ve never tried before, it was very light and went well with the ramen. The server was friendly and accommodating. I would definitely come back next time we are in Montreal.

They do some pretty wild things with their ramen compared to other places in Montreal. If you're a major garlic enthusiast like we are, I'd highly recommend giving this place a try as their broths are otherworldly.

They have a good selection of side dishes as well, Ramen Isshin has become a staple for me!

An absolute must go for couples. Food is simply amazing and isn't too expensive. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We went to order Karaage, time was a bit slow but it was extremely worth it.

There were 2 other couples in the restaurant, the staff noticed this and they adjusted the ambiance and music to suit the event. We loved it.

I'm going back to this restaurant another time.

We ended up going to Sansotei Ramen next door, because we had 4 out of 6 people already here and they didn’t want to give a table until everyone arrived… also I’m visibly pregnant.

Ramen assez normal, très salé, pas de saveur… petite portion de tofu d’une demi poignée de tofu haché (pas sssez pour être un repas complet et j’ai pas un gros appétit), bref dispendieux pour l’expérience assez platonique, je n’y retournerai pas La bière Ippon au gingembre est excellente, une belle découverte…Bref, je vais rester avec le Ramen coin Montroyal et parthenais qui est de loin bien meilleur!

Bonjour. Alors pour commencer c est bon mais 4 morceaux de poulet pour le Karraage et juste deux petites tranches de porc sans trop de goût, que des pâtes, un peu de porc haché, j ai pris tantan.
Franchement déçu pour le prix. 33 $
Pourtant j en ai mangé des ramène.

We had the Vegan ramen (change the noodles on the veggie ramen to make em vegan!) - Garlic & spicy miso. Garlic was so good! Hubby slurped it down in minutes! I had the spicy miso- not really spicy for my south asian palate but the broth was so rich & creamy! Flavor galore. We will be back:)

Loved my experience at Ramen Isshin! The decor and set-up makes it cozy. The shoyu ramen with the porc was perfect for me. The broth was not too thick nor heavy. Good to have on a rainy/cold day. The service was impeccable!

L'insoluble quête pour découvrir le meilleur ramen en ville se poursuit. Un soir de cet automne long qui rampent en hiver, on est arrivé assez tôt pour ne pas avoir à attendre dehors. Belle déco, resto un peu sombre peut-être, mais pas un scandale. Faut scanner un code pour avoir les prix du menu, ça m'agace un peu mais c'est probable que je me transforme lentement en personne aigris et allergique à la dépendance au cellulaire. Ceci dit, sur la table la vraie cuillère en bois m'a rendu très heureux!

Beaucoup de variété disponible au menu d'ailleurs. On a d'abord attaqué un bol d'edamames très bon et les boulettes de tako qui auraient pu contenir un peu plus de tako mais chaleureuses tout ce qu'il faut. La prochaine fois je vais plutôt essayé le poulet frit.

Le ramen au miso épicé, en photo, était délicieux, excellent bouillon, belle portion satisfaisante, j'aurais aimé le porc plus ou mieux grillé par contre. Les nouilles très agréables. On a aussi commandé le petit bol de riz Karaage, ma partenaire était satisfaite même si moi ça m'a semblé un peu spartiate.

Globalement bonne expérience mais peut-être pas magique. Je me casserai pas les deux chevilles pour m'y rendre mais je ne refuserai jamais d'y être invité. La quête se poursuit.

At ramen Isshin, I ordered the red dragon chilli sauce ramen (red miso soup to which they add a tonkotsu broth and multiple spices). The advertised (on the menu) level of spiciness I found accurate, decent depth of flavors, the chashu of my red dragon bowl was actually good. I did also order the tako wasabi which pungency (from the wasabi) was well judged and the chicken karaage (not bad, not great, just ok). Friendly staff, good ambience. And indeed, one of the better bowls of ramen in Montreal. I will go back and try the vegetarian ramen, of which I heard great things.

Overall a great ramen shop. I ordered the raw octopus in wasabi marinade and the garlic shio ramen. The food was really tasty overall. The broth was rich, the noodles were perfect, the pork was flavorful. The eggs were slightly overcooked and cold for my taste. My overall complaint about this place was the lack of options. I felt like the menu didn't offer much variety both in terms of ramen bowls and in terms of appetizers. So while my bowl was good, I'm not really compelled to go back. If you're a fan of ramen and find something you like on the menu, then definitely give this place a try.

Had the roasted garlic shoyu ramen with kale noodles and I loved the broth. It had a very strong garlic taste and was perfect. The pork was very good as well but a little too thin for me. Would definitely recommend.service was very good as well as you order and pay on your phone through a QR code.the server were also very attentive and amazing.

Excellent ramen (miso) Dragon rouge. Bouillon goûteux, oeuf mollet parfait (oeuf Ajitama), garniture généreuse. Très belle présentation. Notre bémol concerne les tranches de porc très mince et pas intéressante en bouche. Selon nous, ce plat sera l'un des favoris afin de remporter la première place du festival du ramen (11 au 16 octobre 2022).
Note. Étant donné que maintenant le service en français est un enjeu à Montréal, ajoutons qu'à cet endroit tout le monde parle français et nous accueille avec le sourire! Résumons en disant que nous avons vécu une très belle expérience!

The ramen is quite yummy as well, especially the broth is thick.

Probably one of the best ramen I had. The red dragon I believe was amazing. Broth, meat, noodles.

But the service was sooooo rushed, even though they were not that busy. The server literally waited at the table, looking if I would finish that last piece just to grab it while I was still chewing. They also all speak super quickly, like hey, I get it it's in and out but you can speak normally.

Hence the 3 stars
