Usually i like to give only good reviews, but this time i have to write it. I have been RBC client for 25 years, and i never had to wait this long at the bank. I have a business to run, and i have to spend 45 min to get some change money for my business. This is ridiculous.
I have been using many different branches of RBC, but this one on Van Horne is very slow. They were 4 represantatives, and while waiting i noticed that only 1 person was working, others did not care. After each client they took pauses while we people who have to go to work have to waste our time for nothing. Only one representative was responsible and did not take pause after each client, unfortunately i do not know his name. But i wish everyone was working like him. I never seen any other RBC branch as slow as this one.

Worst branch ever - I would have rated zero stars but there appears to be a minimum requirement of one. The wait is strenuously and excessively long, the personnel is completely incompetent and slow. Have been waiting for over an hour for a simple transaction requiring a teller and only reason I did leave 45 min ago is because I am accompanied by a handicapped person. Worst branch ever experienced.

Really regret that I had an experience here. Waited for almost 1 hour in the queue for something that needed only 2 minutes, then when my turn is coming, they told me simply WE DON'T HAVE IT!

If I had the unfortunate option of giving this appalling excuse for a bank a rating of 0, I would happily give it a negative infinity of stars. Without a shadow of a doubt, it is the most disgusting establishment I have ever had the misfortune to come across in my whole life. An insurmountable wall of incompetence and disinterest has obstructed every conceivable attempt at communication and advancement. Even after numerous trips to plead for a loan, my requests have been blatantly disregarded and unanswered. I foolishly went back, hoping against hope, only to be made to sign documents that ultimately served no use other than to make fun of my plight. I beg you from the bottom of my heart to avoid any form of association with this despicable bank. Its staff embody laziness personified, and its service is a wretched abomination that can only be described as a living nightmare.

It takes a long time to be served by a teller. Poor customer service and rude staff. You can tell that the employees hate their job.

Today I had an appointment with Jean-Luc Safari, he is the best, he is professional, kind, caring and very helpful. So many thanks for his good job.

A lady, one of their employees, was way more preoccupated to pay a bunch of Dominos Pizzas while we wait 30 minutes. After that, all the guys left the room and only one remained to deal with customers. UNREAL lack of respect! Another 45 minutes past and finally we were able to solve our problem. PLEASE LEARN manners and respect guys, this is UNEXCUSABLE!

The worst branch ever in RBC, they lost my client card 3 times so that I transferred it to another address to pick it up after 1 month and a half, my credit card same situation produced it for the second time so that they send it to another branch but not this one of course.
They don’t call or send email for anything, we have to guess by ourselves.

This is the worst branch of RBC, incredibly slow, it open 15 mins after the normal schedule, the staff have no idea what they are doing.

I’m 100% the positive reviews are posted by the staff under a pseudonym.

Horrible experience, you have to line up an 1 hour and 10 minutes for a simple pick up.

Please close the branch down.

My credit card was mailed to the branch. Went to pick it up. There was no one to give it to me besides the usual clerks at the booths, so I was told by the security guard to wait in line with 8 people ahead of me. I had to be somewhere, so walked out after 45 minutes with nothing while only 4 people managed to move ahead. Can't believe I have to drive 8km in traffic again tomorrow to pick up mail. This branch needs a receptionist and more staff in general. Thanks for providing chairs though and security.

Okay. So I have always heard customer complaints about this bank my whole life. I always felt that this bank was slower in giving service in comparison to other banks but didn't see any thing too wrong with that as some customers also need to take more time than others. I never have problems with them and always took the benefit of the doubt until now.

After waiting some time in line, I wondered if it be possible to withdraw a certain amount from the machines to expedite the process so I asked one of their staff whom was assisting clients inside and outside the rbc on Van horne (a tall man, caucasian, no hair, in a suit). I asked if I can increase my withdrawal limit to use the machine with him or one of his staff, he said yes. For one, who the hell would go to the bank to stand in line for a long time, simply for a withdrawal increase? !   If he was a professional, he should have known to verbally prompt me PROPERLY for anything else. I WAS ALREADY WITH HIM, INSIDE THE BANK, AT THE DESK AND WE HAD ALREADY SCANNED MY RBC CARD  AND THE MAN LITERALLY TOLD ME TO GO LINE UP AGAIN. FOR A SECOND TIME TO BE SERVED!? !   What happened was,   he pulled me out of the line to help me with what I had asked, only for me to find out that with the amount I wanted to withdraw, I had to do it with a teller and was incompatible with the machine. So I told him to bring me to a teller or if I can acquire this service with him. He said I would have to line up again for that.   He insisted that he asked me prior if I wanted to do anything else a part from a withdrawal increase, honestly I can't remember if he did ask me, but I did mention that I needed an increase to use the machine. To be polite, I apologized for any miscommunication from my end. However, him being the 'professional' that he is in his role of providing customer service, was very unsatisfactory. You don't just tell a client with such an insensitive demeanor to line up all over again.
So he brought me out to line up again and then saw that the line was yet long and perhaps he took pity - He asked me where was I in the line before? I was right in the front. He brought me back inside the bank.

So I needed to withdraw my amount that was already stated to be inside my checking account. He asked me "Where did this money come from? Amount of $5000. " I had never been asked this before. I told him that the money was wired from my mother's savings account in which I am joint with. With no explanation, he went to another staff member and then he came back to me saying that they can't trace where the money came from so they have to put a hold on it for 4 days. I understand now that to their discretion, they can do this depending if the money came in the same day to your account. I get it for security reasons. But I kid you not, this man serving me was an asshole. There is a certain way one must talk to others especially if you are handling other people  in your professional career, in a big company such as RBC even. He needs to be re-trained in how he deals with customers.

I drove the same day straight after work to another rbc on cotes des neiges, and I was able to withdraw my money $5000 without any issues.
