I recently visited the Stanley Branch of RBC and had the pleasure of meeting Michael Dong. As an international student who later became a working immigrant in Montreal, I was completely unfamiliar with tax-free savings accounts, retirement plans, and the FHSA. I had previously had a very unpleasant experience with another bank, which left me feeling frustrated and confused.
However, Michael's warm and patient demeanor immediately put me at ease. He took the time to explain each of the financial products that I was interested in and answered all of my questions. Although I didn't make a purchase that day, Michael made an appointment for me two weeks later to meet with a wealth management advisor named Kaman, who helped me select the perfect product.
As a new immigrant, my savings may be modest compared to some of RBC's other clients, but Michael's professionalism and genuine care made me feel valued as a customer. The entire staff at the Stanley Branch is knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and dedicated to providing excellent customer service. If you have questions about banking, I highly recommend Michael. He is truly outstanding.

Everyone have such a problem that the relevé electronics for the month are not available for viewing on the site

This location is no longer open. Made a detour just to come here. Thankfully there is a location two blocks down on Saint-Catherine street.

Was closed at 16: 45 today (on Friday). I came from NDG for a time sensitive transaction I can only do in this branch. An employee of the branch at Snowdon metro confirmed it should be open until 5 pm (and so says maps). I guess unless I call I cannot be sure. Here’s to a weekend with zero cash.
UPD: apparently there is no phone line specifically for this branch (so it would not have been possible to confirm hours over the phone).

Again not getting what I needed. 1 broken ATM. 1 ATM no small bills.needed small bills because I am going to a country that never has change for large bills.

Ouvrir un compte chez RBC est digne d'un sketch! J'ai attendu plus de 2 mois pour avoir une carte de banque. Elle ne sera jamais arrivée! On me prévient qu'ils refusent de l'envoyer à une boite postale mais 10J après! Ils font une faute d'orthographe dans mon nom, puis on remarque un mois plus tard qu'il y a une inversion prénom-nom, la deuxième adresse donnée a été retranscrite sans le numéro d'appartement, la dernière tentative consistait à envoyer la carte directement en succursale et ils m’appelleront une fois la carte disponible, Après 3 semaines sans nouvelles j'ai du aller sur place pour m'entendre dire qu'ils pouvaient m'en commander une 4ème. Soit les employés de RBC sont totalement incompétents soit ils se foutent délibérément de notre geule! 8 employés différents et 3 envois de cartes, on ne peut plus parler de mauvaise chance.
En tant que nouvel arrivant, j'ai eu de la chance d'être francophone pour gérer une histoire pareille.je devais passer 2 semaines au Québec j'ai du me loger 9 semaines supplémentaires, ma carte de crédit européenne a bien chauffé pendant ces 2 mois avec les taxes de changes qui vont avec, RBC s'est bien servi sur le transfère international de la somme versée sur ce compte auquel je n'aurai jamais eu accès et j'ai encore perdu une partie lorsque je suis arrivée dans une autre banque avec un chèque donnée à la clôture du compte. Je n'aurai jamais perdu autant d'argent sans y toucher. Et je suis encore plus dégoutée de constater qu'en allant dans la banque d'à coté, ils m'ont donné un RDV 2h après et que l'agent qui m'a ouvert un compte en 20 minutes a simplement sorti une carte toute faite de son bureau.

Please do not open a bank account with RBC if you do not have high income or permanent residency. This bank does not give good credit limits to the ones who are not PR.

I opened my account as a student with them 4 years ago. I have been working for the past one year. For the past 4 years, all my paychecks, scholarship money, global transfer was done with RBC. I have never missed a credit card payment and kept my account, card in good standing.

I contacted them 2 times to increase my limit. Firstly, Salmatou Berete Keita of this branch gave me false hope to increase my credit score and then apply again. Next, when I applied after 6 months with improved score, they didn't increase my limit saying 2 causes: my income is low and I am not a PR. So, it was a total waste of my time running after them. Meanwhile, I got limit increase from othet banks and all my other credit card's limit started at least more than double of my RBC credit card.

Moreover, when I asked for the limit increase, they did hard enquiry, closed my previous card saying they will be upgrading my card which lowered my credit score. At the end, I got the same limit but now I have my 1st credit card in Canda closed which affected my credit score badly. They are not customer friendly and does not maintain clear communication. I will be transferring everything and closing my business with them.

Very slow service. Came here at 2pm (calm hours) yet waited 25 minutes in line since there was only 1 clerk taking clients
