RBC Royal Bank

It's generally a terrible branch, but today I felt compelled to write a review. After waiting for too long, I asked the teller to deposit a cheque made out to someone else (who is currently hospitalized due to illness and is unable to deposit it themselves) into their account. I had their name and account details. Although this is common practice at every bank I've been to, the teller told me that RBC doesn't allow this - the person to whom the cheque is made out must be present. The RBC website seems to say that they do allow third-party deposits though. Who's right, the website or the teller? It's not that important: either the bank has implemented a ridiculous policy or is incapable of training their employees to perform essential tasks.

Take 45 to 90 mins in the waiting line, staff is old and inefficient. Time someone does something for this branch!

Longest wait time ever, at a bank, ever. Only had 4 people in front of me. It was ridiculous and I could overhear other customers in front of me complaining. Not normal. Avoid.

Don’t use this bank unless you have access to the ATM. Despite their relaxed atmosphere there are only 4 tellers and then only two or three are operative. Waiting in line can take up to 30-45 minutes. An agent will come around with a laptop to try to expedite customers but for their location you would think the service would be better.

Such a long wait people left. Yet they have all these employees just chatting. It’s not fair to the one person serving clients, or the disabled or elderly who have to remain standing for 20 minutes or more. I was also completely ignored for a ma man behind me who came in 15 minutes later than me or more! Ridiculous

Ralph Biha who works at this branch is extremely unprofessional, condescending, rude. He just hung up on me during a scheduled call (he called me). I am moving all of my accounts to Desjardins and TD. I have never been treated badly there. I would recommend others to do the same. To not waste your time and energy with RBC.

Unprofessional, inexperienced staff. Witnessed 2 unhappy clients from the line. Long wait times. Only 2 tellers for 6 booths! Just walk down a few blocks to Tour Guy branch, it will save you some wait time!
PS 5 star reviews from the branch employees are hilarious It’s a clear indication they have no idea what makes good customer service.

Worst service ever.only 2 tellers working. Yet 4 banking staff supervising and doing nothing to provide service. Some people jump in the queue, but the bank is not managed by anyone. The loose working attitude is not suitable for you to handle business here
