Renovco Inc.

Can't really say much about their work, but recently I was looking for a company to replace my kitchen counter. I thought that maybe this may be too small of a job for them, but did send an online request for someone to contact me to discuss. Nothing. No reply. If it's not a job that you're interested in, at least have the courtesy to call back.

Ruined My House! **Update** (see below)

It is amazing how so many people are now putting up 5 star reviews of this company since I wrote this review, and the wording used in them is so similar to Renovco ads and website verbiage. It makes me wonder if they are real?

We had these people in to renovate our bathroom 5 years ago.
- Did not design the bathroom correctly, the measurement were taken incorrectly from the beginning.
- Sent unlicensed workers in to conduct the work. We found this out later.
- Used substandard materials, used 1/4" gyprock, and it started to crack the first year
- Installed accessories started to fall off the wall one year in.
- Moisture started in our ceiling and has now compromised our roof.
- We have complained and have had Alex, his roofer, and Henry visit.they indicate that it is a roof problem, but we have had three licence CAA roof inspectors to verify that it was caused by the internal renovation.
- We even had our insurance send over a licence roof inspector that provided a report indicating that the damage is due to the renovation.
- We are gutting and having our bathroom fixed by a real contractor and a new roof put on our house by a real roofer.
- I turn off CJAD and TSN when the Renovco ads come on, Renovco is unreliable and unprofessional. I hope this helps people walk away from Renoco and find a more reliable renovation company or contractor.
I have told many people who are about to have renovations done about this incident and have shown them what type of workmanship this company brings with them.
- I DO NOT recommend this company to anyone!

If you Google "Consumer Choice Awards, " you will see a report about how companies using "Consumer Choice Awards" actually pay for it.

RENOVCO pays for this Consumer Choice Award. Quote "Businesses selected as winners of consumer choice awards may NOT be best in class, an investigation has found. " and "But CBC News has learned that in order to advertise this fact, such as displaying the award's purple ribbon logo in their store windows and in promotional materials, winning businesses first have to pay more than $4,000 to the Consumers' Choice Institute"

Just need to add that anyone affiliated with RENOVCO seems to be just as bad.
Please remember that just because you hear the name on the radio so often, it doesn't indicate that they are good to work with. They pay for that advertisement. Also, the person who is affiliated and is in those ads IS also paid for. I have had conversations with him as well. He is not interested in helping anyone except the people who pay him.

I've been summoned to court as a witness, and it seems that the people who worked on my house for Renovco weren't licensed. What more can I say here? !?

Update January 25,2018 - We are having our roof replaced now.
We have had thee (3) different CAA contractors over for estimates. Without saying a thing to them about our renovations, all three contractors said exactly the same thing. " Whoever made changes to the bathroom created the damage. "
" The exhaust fan has been installed incorrectly, causing moisture between the cathedral ceiling and roof. "

Also, we are going back to court to testify again against the people that Renovco hired to renovate our house.

I understand people are saying the initial work looks great. Wait five years. And when it's not looking so good or other problems in your house arise due to the reno these people performed, just try calling these guys back. GOOD LUCK!

We didn't have to testify. The workers that did the work for Renovco plead guilty and were fined $ 10,000 plus court fees. But Renovco will not do anything to fix this, nor have they contacted me to do anything about this. So to that, I hope the more than 60,000 views of my reviews have stopped people from using this company. And I hope this helps more people think twice about using this company for renovations.

Do your homework. If they have to tell you how good they are, there is a good chance they aren't. Don't you think JE? Airmiles.whatever!

From our first meetings with Walter, who completely understood our wants for the several renovations that we needed, and with our project manager Olga we felt we were in good hands. The renovations started ahead of schedule, Olga was in constant communication with us notifying us of the team’s progress and making us aware immediately if even the smallest of changes needed to be made for either aesthetic or practicality reasons. She was on site almost daily. The team was punctual and arrived everyday. At the end of each day we saw clear progress. A month later we had our renovated basement and enclosed porch, both looking better than we ever could have imagined. We will only use Renovco for any future renovations. We can’t thank them enough!

The most damaged thing was my pocketbook after using Renovco. Job was supposed to be 28k. Turned in 53k with no sites extras. Stay away if you value your money because Renovco only cares about their pocket.

The company is very fast, efficient and works like if they are working on there own house everything needs to be perfect and clean, and the workers make sure thats its exactly how you want things

Had a water infiltration from the roof to the inside.
They came in and took care of everything, even calming me down.
From roof reparation, to stopping the leak to repairing all the damages.even ended up changing my entire flooring since I was that happy with the service.

All promises were accomplished. Some delays occurred but caused by suppliers, Renovco dealt with these delays with professionalism and accommodated fairly quickly.
