Residence Inn by Marriott Montreal Midtown

My family and I stayed at this hotel. The truth is, the customer service was the best. In suggestions and more, the hotel staff was quite professional. It was my first time staying at their brand. I recommend it

Si c'était possible de mettre aucune étoile je le ferais. Jamais été déçu a ce point d'un hotel premièrement il ne trouvais pas du tout la réservation dans aucun des 3 marriotts mes parents ont dut aller séjourner ailleur ce qui est enormement stressantpour eux, par contre lors de la journée de départ la il m'ont charger et ne veulent faire aucun remboursement jamais vue un hotel avec aussi peux de service c' est ridicule je ne le recommande pas du tout

We had the King studio with sofabed room for 5 nights. We had a really good stay.

First, the location. There's actually quite of bit of stuff going in on this part of town. Lots of neighborhood shopping and restaurants around. Not really within walking distance, but within easy and short driving distance. We had a rental car, and getting to downtown Montreal was an easy 15-minute drive on the highway. The underground parking at 15 CAD/day, especially in the winter, was very much welcome.

The room we got was very large, over 500 square feet. The kitchen has the essentials you need. We even cooked Christmas dinner in that kitchen. The king bed was comfortable. The sofabed was large enough even for 2 people to sleep on. The bathroom was well-appointed.

We were lucky to be on the west side of the building with an unobstructed view of the area and Saint Joseph's Oratory in the distance. The sunrises from the room were pretty spectacular.

The free breakfast each day was more than adequate with a small revolving selection of hot foods and your standard breads, cereals, juices, coffees, fruits, and a waffle maker.

The hotel has a standard gym and also an indoor pool!

The hotel is relatively new, so things looked and felt fresh. Great stay overall.

Vraiment dommage…Hôtel possédant pourtant un bon potentiel.
Un énorme problème de communication est présent à la réception causant ainsi de nombreux problèmes que nous avons pu expérimenter. Certains employés ont quand même essayé au mieux de fixer les choses, mais nous avons du tout de même subi toutes les conséquences de leurs erreurs, les désagréments et le manque d’implicatIon de leur part face à notre situation. Chaque personne renvoyait la faute sur le collègue d’avant.
Les chambres sont plutôt correctes et le personnel assez sympathique.
En revanche, le petit déjeuner est un peu léger et le moyen de se servir des gaufres n’est pas pratique et cause une accumulation de personne problématique dans le service.

Pdj zéro: Omelette immangeable tellement c’était salé! Pas de gaufres, pas de beurre, presque rien en pain et gâteau à 9h00. Plus de café à 9h00! J’ai demandé, au bout de 15’ toujours pas! Donc parti sans boire de café. Lamentable!

Overall great experience, price point is a little higher then expected. BUT Room was clean staff was kind, Bilingual service was offered. All things said would stay here again!

The location is very convenient within Montreal. The room was self sufficient even including a dishwasher. And the breakfast was great.

Not the best service, 3 computers not operating, missing keyboard. Got a dent on my car in the underground. They did not have an IT guy or number to hook up my box to the TV like all other Marriott. Very small breakfast selection. Christian at the front desk was awesome!

Newer Residence Inn property compared to others in the area. Well equipped gym and rooms were adequate for a long term stay. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable of restaurants in the area. Breakfast was ok, more options would be appreciated. Would happily stay again in the future.

The room didn't have a functioning exhaust in the bathroom. Lights went out. Decent place but not for the price.

My stay was good until I discovered that money was missing from my wallet, which I left in my bag with my things. Judging by the reviews, this is not the first such case. The hotel management did nothing. Of course, you can stay here, but watch your things.

Mon séjour à l’hôtel Résidence Inn Midtown de Montréal a été une expérience désastreuse.

Tout d’abord, j’ai fait face à la disparition suspecte de biens personnels de valeur dans ma propre chambre. Malgré avoir signalé cela à la réception à trois reprises, personne n’a pu fournir d’explication ou d’aide. Grande frustration face à l’incompétence du staff. Il semble que quiconque ayant eu accès aux chambres, y compris le personnel de nettoyage, pourrait être responsable de ces vols. Soyez donc prêt à vous faire voler vos affaires si vous séjournez dans cet hôtel.

Ensuite, la ventilation de la salle de bain ne fonctionnait pas correctement, entraînant des odeurs désagréables. Personne n’a été en mesure de réparer ce problème.

Enfin, le petit-déjeuner était un véritable cauchemar. En raison de la prétendue occupation complète de l’hôtel, il y avait une file d’attente interminable jusqu’au lobby, avec un temps d’attente de plus de 15 minutes pour obtenir des œufs froids et pâteux. Il n’y avait plus d’eau chaude, plus de couverts, plus de fruits, plus de bacon et l’hôtel était manifestement sous-préparé, à bout pour accueillir un grand nombre d’invités, ce qui a gravement impacté l’expérience de tous les clients de manière négative. Tout le monde étaient énervés et se plaignaient, quelle horrible façon de commencer la journée…

Je ne recommande absolument pas cet hôtel, compte tenu de ces graves problèmes. Mon séjour a été gâché par ces vols potentiels, les problèmes de ventilation, le chaos du petit-déjeuner, mais surtout l’incapacité du staff à assister mes demandes d’assistance… Fuyez.

Hotel does not value or respect elite member privileges. I am silver elite, which gives you a free upgrade when available. I checked in for one night middle of the week, the hotel was totally dead.

I asked for an upgrade. Lie #1. They told me they were sold out. (I explained to them I checked the app before arriving and the larger room is available)

Lie #2. They said are rooms are the same (No, there is two different kinds a studio and a king suite)

Lie #3. They only have one suite in the whole hotel. (Obviously this large hotel having only one suite make no sense, but even if it was true, it was available and should have been offered to me)

They were trying to think of any lie possible to avoid giving me a room that only costs 40.00 more. On a dead night, in the middle of the week. I was told if I want to use my member benefits I should go to the courtyard hotel next door. Unbelievable.

That is how little they respect you here. Also it was a my birthday, so there that.

Recently opened in 2022, I started staying in this hotel instead of the Hilton nearby. The amenities and kitchen is the big take away for me. The rooms are big and specious as well.

The supervisor Florent as well as reception went above and beyond to locate my lost wallet and keys and ship them back to me. Great stay overall, rooms are very clean and renovated + staff is very kind. Thanks for a great experience!
