Great service, family owned business. Feels like home cooked food. Completely vegan. Tried the baigan bharta, daal, rajma and palak paneer (tofu). Everything was great not very spicy and fresh, didn't like the palak paneer much. Do try the tea with almond milk, it is a different taste from the regular tea but I did like it and it was light on the stomach as well.

An absolute gem for those looking to have vegan Indian food! The owners are lovely, presentation is beautiful, and flavours are divine. It’s so nice being able to experience favourites like paneer, korma, and lassi fully veganized. I cannot recommend this place enough!

This place is phenomenal. The owners are something else. You can taste the love with which they prepare the food, and with which they treat their customers.
It feels like your longtime friends invited you over, cooked for you, and took care of you. You leave happy and with a fuzzy feeling inside.

Just go and see.

Best vegetable Thali I have ever had. Food is cooked to perfection and served with great care. The place is run by a very hospitable family who actually care about food and your health. Would definitely be a regular at this place.

Food was delicious and service was very hospitable at this family run restaurant. This was our first time trying vegan Indian food and to our surprise and delight, food was flavourful, light and portions were generous. It was clearly made and served with love. We will be back!

We have visited twice and are planning to go again very soon! This restaurant is run by a lovely family and the food they serve is delicious and reasonably priced. Our favourites are the garlic naan, baigan bhartha, rajma and palak paneer. Everything is 100% plant based and not oily, which is usually the case at other similar restaurants. Don't forget to try the mango lassi, it is SO good!

Great vegan Indian food. Service is top notch. Very nice owners, take their time to explain and have a good conversation with you. We orderer more food for take out and that was gone within an hour after we came home.

If you are vegan lover this place is a hidden gem in Bayview area. Food is purely authentic, zero use of animal products (dairy), clean and friendly service. Kudos to owners for bringing satvik style food.

Wonderful food, lovely people. We have allergies in our group and they were very careful. Excited to come here again!

Everyone here does an absolutely excellent job. This is one of the only places on Bayview where you can get guaranteed vegan food. Everything is extremely well done right down to the naan bread made fresh with every order. Well worth going in person for the company and the atmosphere as opposed to ordering on Uber.

Looking for Vegan Indian food, look no more and visit this restaurant in Bayview Avenue. They have all the food items made dairy free and veg.
Family owned business. Lovely family serving food with love! Very decent sitting style. They also have an outdoor setting, which was shut when I went.
They have Indian thali, which is a must try. They have 2 kinds with choice of 3 curries and 2 curries. For me, 2 curries were enough. Always ask for their daily special curry. Must must have mango lassi! VEGAN.
Overall very delightful experience. Good food. Amazing service.

Really fresh ingredients you can taste. Also, it's not a restaurant with specialized dishes and they make them really well. Definitely coming back.

Incredible Indian cuisine in a relaxed setting. The Thali is excellent, with a selection of curries along with daal, rice, salad, naan, and poppadom.

Every dish I had was delicious and the spices were flavorful. They complemented the fresh ingredients perfectly without overpowering them.

Family run and friendly service and enjoyed the chef taking the time to explain the dishes to us.

The menu is fully vegan but the dishes will appeal to anyone who is a fan of great quality Indian food.

I'll be returning soon.

So thrilled to have tried Hindus Thali! This amazing family moved their vegan Indian restaurant from Montreal to Toronto - very lucky for us here in the city! So far I've tried the mango lassi and thali with rajma, daal, palak paneer and baigan bartha. Yummy naan and small salad too. Everything was delicious and spiced very nicely. There are green chili's on the side as well so just the right amount of heat can be added! Can't wait to go back! Deeelish!

Food was amazing. The family are so friendly and exained all the dishes to us and what was I them. If you are concerned it will taste "funny" because it is vegan, it isn't. The best Palak Paneer I have ever had, and I order it at every Indian restaurant I go to. Steo gly recommend, you will not be disappointed.

I very rarely write reviews, but this place 100% deserves it. The family running Hindusthali is lovely and the food was excellent. Amazing vegan food and the chef came out and explained all the dishes and even how to make one of them ourselves! Definitely making a return trip here.

Hindusthali is my favourite vegan Indian restaurant. The owner and his family are so friendly. Moreover, dishes are always fresh and tasty. Don’t miss the mango lassi, it’s a must-try. Visit my Instagram (IG: kelledstyle) for more pictures

I'm not vegan and I wasn't expecting much but this place is a real gem. The food was amazing-clean, fresh, just the right amount of spices-I could taste the vegetables! And no traces of oil. It's now on my fave list.

At last, our search for super amazing vegan "Thali" ended here. "Thali" is an integral part of Indian cuisine with super nutritious food covering all nutritional elements to make it a wholesome meal. But, even if vegetarian, it involves a lot of dairy and with the poor understanding of what vegan food shouldn't involve, Indian restaurants, generally, fail big time in creating good vegan dishes - but not this one.
We came across Hindusthali about 1.5 years ago when it was vegetarian but then gave up the idea considering that it would involve a lot of dairy. But recently, thanks to Risa's review, when we came to know that they have fully veganized the menu - we just couldn't resist the temptation. And this is probably the best meal we have had at any restaurant in Montreal, not just Indian.
We went for two Thali A that have a salad, a lentil curry (Dal), Baigan Bhartha, two vegetable curries, Rice, Papadum and a Naan/Chapati. The owner, Hakim, a very kind man, was amazed to know that we are Indians too and, in fact, his family roots traced to the same state in India where we are from. He suggested some very non-traditional vegetable curries like Karela (bitter gourd) and Bhinda (Okra) since he knew our palate would be ready for that. So, in the first thali, we went for Mixed Beans and Bhinda while, in the second thali, we went for Karela and Korma. We shared the curries and loved them all. The food was very homely (and I really really mean it) with the balance of spices and minimal usage of oil. The smokiness of the Baigan Bhartha was super. The Karela sabzi was great - have started liking it since adulthood: D (hardly any child in India loves bitter gourd since, obviously, it is a bitter curry). Dal was amazing and so was rice. Hakim also provided us with his special green chilli chutney which was a great supplement with the bite of Naan-Curry. We also went for a Salted Lassi which was good. With the thickness, it was closer to buttermilk than Lassi but for Gujarati food lovers, that's even better.
The ambiance of the place is great with some beautiful paintings on the wall and some instruments placed next to the entrance. It's a small space with just about 12-13 tables and the service is quite good. Reservations would be recommended if you're going on a weekend. The first time we called, they were full so we couldn't go. The food takes some time to arrive but it is definitely worth more than the wait.
Overall, a big thumbs up. Definitely recommended.

Love the place. Reasonably priced, very good food. The naan bread is to die for, absolutely delicious. Be warned though that the wine selection is limited.
