Restaurant Impérial (Pointe-Claire)

Finally, a dim sum restaursnt easily accessible for folks off island, easily a 10/10 for that fact alone! As you's expect from such a restaurant the atmosphere is quite lively with many families there, and the decorations are lovely! The food is generally superb. Good portions too. Granted, on some days, it can be a little more hastily prepared than other days. And the same goes for service, very good, but prone to some errors due to the unreasonable amount of work they have to put up with. But, they always do their best! It suffers the rush any dim sum place would, but it's still an amazing dim sum place!

The Hong Kong style chicken was delicious. First time I've had it served this was. The server was very friendly and the food was served very efficiently. We will be back!

Disgraceful service. We waited for ages even with a reservation, and honestly treated poorly. We never saw our waiter, couldn’t even get water! I sent a complaint to the restaurant twice and never even received an apology or any recognition. I am in this business and drove an hour to meet with family. No it worth the wait when the management is so rude!

Excellent dim sum FINALLY in the west island again! Show up early to get a seat or wait a long time in line. Was a bit disappointed that somee u items were only available after noon. Service was pretty decent. The place looks really nice, great ambiance!

We had an amazing service and food was great! Ken was an amazing help with suggesting us great options! This was our first visit and not our last!

So glad there's finally a good dim sum restaurant in the west island. No need to go to south shore or downtown anymore!

Really enjoyed it. Probably the best dim sum I've had in Montréal. Alot of flavor and food came fast.
In my opinion, having been to Hong Kong, the type of service is very typical for a dim sum place. Had no issues with it.

Chinese restaurant serving traditional cantonese dishes. It’s nice to see that they’re expanding in Montreal as their other location in Chinatown moved to Brossard. Food was average but what makes it a 4 instead of 3 out of 5 is definitely the modern decor. Feels nice to be in a restaurant with a different vibe. The dishes were quick to arrive but the service non existent.

Terrible experience yesterday.
We called around noon to order take out and scheduled 2: 30pm for pick up, lady who pick the phone forgot. When we went to pick up twice, the lady had very bad attitude. No apology and not even wants to retake the order. Extremely unhappy with this restaurant. I've been here two times before with my clients, but will never go again. Not recommended.

Tons of room, tons of parking, extremely attentive staff.
Simon, our waiter was busy attentive, and right on point.
I all of the support staff were there when you needed anything.
We will be back with the family later this week.
Are the peanut butter dumpling sauce was unbelievable.
The wonton soup was authentic and flavorful and piping hot
Maybe the crispiest spring rolls I’ve ever had. A definite must order.
The Szechuan chicken was white meat, flavorful and piping hot in a beautiful soup marinade
The generals chicken was crispy and so over the top tasty
I give this restaurant at 9.5.

UPDATED 29Apr2023: They have more staff so the food comes out hot and quick just like their Brossard location.would recommend and best dim sum in west island/VSL.:)

my only complaint is that the food is not piping hot, but lukewarm as opposed to their location in brossard.otherwise, seating and service are good.went on day 2 of their opening so maybe they will improve.lots of parking.

Came here on a Saturday evening to celebrate a birthday, we had initially planned to go to Tong Por but the restaurant was fully booked for the evening. We called, and the lady who answered the phone was nice enough to accommodate us even though on open table the restaurant was fully booked, for context we were 10 ppl. We decided to have the 10 person set meal, at the time it was 388$, which is reasonable for what you are getting. The service was quick to the point it even felt a bit rushed, upon sitting down ordering and receiving most of the food it was the span of 25-30 mins. Food wise everything tasted pretty good, although might be a bit salty if you have elderly in your group. The servers were attentive for Chinese restaurant standards. We even asked the waiter to take a group picture, and although he was very busy, he took time to get 4 different angles, so it was very appreciative of his efforts. Overall everyone had a good time, only fault was really the condition of the washrooms, looked pretty dirty. Other then that would recommend checking out if your looking for some decent Chinese food in the Montreal area, as choices are limited.

It took an hour and a half to receive our food and one of the oysters in my oyster omelet had lobster shells in it. The sweet and sour pork was crispy though. So, that was a nice touch.

The food was good, but the service was extremely slow. Our reservation was at 6: 30pm and we left at 9: 30pm. They only have 3 woks for hundreds of people. The first dining room is beautiful but the back one is bright and cold.

At at dinner, after 18h restaurant fills to capacity and kitchen cannot generate enough in a timely manner. Main dish took aprox 60mins.

I was very disappointed by my experience at Restaurant Impérial (Pointe-Claire). The food was bland and greasy, and the portions were small. The service was even worse. The waiter was rude and impatient, and he messed up our order twice. He also took a long time to bring us the bill and did not apologize for any of the mistakes. I felt like we were not valued as customers at all. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It deserves 2 stars for the food and 1 star for the service.

It's a very good restaurant it has good service, good food and a beautiful atmosphere.

One of my favorite restaurants at West Island.
The foods are very very good, and prices are acceptable.
They will give you a pot of tea for free at the beginning, and you can ask for an free add of water while it’s empty.
And I have been there several times, never disappointed with their service & food.

A little bit disappointed with the only 4 choices for dim sum.
Service and nutrition are good.

For what we can get as a chinese restaurant in Montreal, my expectations aren't that high. This one is okay.

First, we booked a table for 15 but all the set menus for big tables stopped at 10 people. It's not the end of the world, but makes the process more complicated. So, we chose a few more dishes and not everything came out as expected. Some dishes were tastier than others. So it was like a roller coaster of flavours.

The service is good and so is the ambiance.

Very slow restaurant. Made us wait more than 40 minutes. It wasn’t that busy either. This is unacceptable. Was told wait a minute and was ignored many times. Never go there if you don’t want to wait +40 minutes to get seated

La nourriture était de bonne qualité. Beau décor.
Par contre trop longue à être servi, je comprend l'achalandage du restaurant, car moi-même j'ai eu l'expérience de travailler dans un restaurant. Par contre 50-75% des employés ignoraient nos demandes et notre serveur manquait de professionalisme, nous rapporter de l'eau chaude brusquement et peu de communication de sa part.
De plus, aucune sauce et eau sont placées à notre disposition. Je trouvais ça plutôt étrange, car c'est une base dans les autres dim sum. Je devais demandé 3x de la sauce piquante et de l'eau à de multiples serveurs.
Très mauvais service, dommage car la nourriture était délicieuse.

I recently visited this restaurant and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Never want to visit again. While the food was acceptable, the service was incredibly poor, and I would rate it less than one star if I could. On two separate occasions, I had to wait for over an hour to receive my entire order, which was frustrating enough. However, what made it worse was seeing another table, which was seated after me, receive the same food before me.

When I politely asked the waiter if there was any way to speed up the process, the waiter responded in an unprofessional manner and suggested that I should leave if I was not willing to wait longer for my food. This was completely unacceptable and left a very bad impression.

To make matters worse, when we left a tip on the table instead of including it in the bill, the cashier ran out to confront us about it. It was quite embarrassing to have to explain that we had left the tip on the table.

Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant due to the extremely poor service and unprofessional behavior of the staff.
