Restaurant La Carreta

It’s a nice place but the service sucks.
It was empty with just one other couple but it took forever for our order to be taken (waiters avoiding eye contact) and the food took over 20 minutes to arrive for platanos maduro and a couple of pupusas. The appetizer was served at the same time as the main. And the platanos that were supposed to be ripe and sweet were still green and dry. The Pupussas are crunchy but skip the loroco because there’s barely any in it. The price could be justified by the nice interior and service but since our waitress never even cared to check on us and we had to go get our own check I don’t think we will be coming back.

Nice place, delicious food, the best pupusas I've had in Montreal, it's a shame that the waiter forcefully wants you to pay a 15% tip, I know it's a habit but you can't force it either.

Have been going there for over 30 years now and it’s always as delicious as I remember and family oriented, would recommend this place to everyone that loves to eat tasty food 5 ️ food and service

Petit bon restaurant qui ce situe a st-zotique hauteur st- denis. Vous rentrer dans la culture latine avec leur pupusas, huca con chicharon, ect.il y a plusieur variétés dans le menu je vous le conseil d'y goûter faire un tour

Picada salvadoreña and the combo papusas amongst 4 hungry adults and we were all satisfied, full, even with a small doggie bag by the end of our meal. Don't skip the chance to try their house hot sauce.

The food is always hot and the service is great it’s the perfect comfort food for a cold and rainy day!
It is also really cheap for two it only cost me 40$ and we ate a lot!

Notre serveuse nous a jeté nos assiettes ainsi que nos ustensile au milieu de la table sans les mettres correctement sur chaque sièges. À part cet inconvénient, je vous recommande d’y goûter au porc frit et les pupusas.

Je suis vraiment deçue! Ce restaurant c'est une honte! La qualité est horrible, des assiettes ridicules, en plus j'ai été malade!

Bonnes pupusas et le tamal de elote manquais un peu d saveur mais dans l'ensemble c'était très bon.

J'ai vécu une belle expérience en venant manger ici! La sangria rose était très sucrée mais très bonne. Nous avons partagé une entrée composée de plusieurs viandes et c'était délicieux. Le gâteau en dessert était bon aussi. La serveuse était très sympathique et son service efficace. La terrasse était conviviale. C' est une bonne adresse dans la petite Italie!

Best Pupusas I’ve ever had. Yuca con chicharron and Horchata were also great, but the x-factor was their hot sauce!

The pupusas here are outstanding and the fried yuca and pork was amazing however the other menu items we ordered weren’t that great. We ordered tamales as an entree which came cold and we had to ask them to reheat them for us which kind of sucked because we knew they were just being popped in the microwave for a few minutes.

Recently renovated and expanded without sacrificing cost, value, or quality. One of my favourite spots in the area, hands down

Nouvelle déco depuis 1 ou 2 ans je crois, super! Les gens sont super gentils, la bouffe est excellente. C'est le droit par excellence pour les pupusas!

Good service, good attention and the food is very tasty, I give it 4 stars because if it takes a little time there you have to go with time and patience
