Restaurant Mikado

Great atmosphere, excellent service and tasty sushi… but don’t order the black cod / morue noire! The portion is sooooo small that it is laughable. I see in another review posted 4 years ago that it was 27 dollars but, believe it or not, now it costs a heaping 42 dollars!

On a commandé en ligne ce soir, vraiment déçue de la qualité des sushi. La présentation laissait à désirer, les poissons n’étaient pas tous aussi frais qu’on aurait souhaité. Bref, c’était une première et dernière commande chez mikado: (

The restaurant ambiance is upscale and cosy and the Service was outstanding.
Regarding the food it was good.not amazing but good. Probably living in Japan has made me picky.
Quality vs. Price is fair I would say and drinks are amazing.
Details are taken care off, I was happy to feel the omotenashi.

If you're a sushi lover, you absolutely have to try Mikado! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that just sets the tone for an amazing dining experience. The sushi itself is simply incredible - each piece is a work of art, with fresh ingredients that are expertly crafted into delicious rolls and nigiri. You need to try their Tuna Royal and Bavette - they're both absolutely amazing and really showcase the skill of the chefs. The menu is extensive and varied, so there's something for everyone - whether you're in the mood for classic favorites or want to try something new and adventurous. What's more, the presentation of the sushi is truly impressive, with beautiful colors and designs that just add to the overall enjoyment of the meal. And of course, the staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, making sure that you have everything you need for a perfect evening out. All in all, Mikado is simply one of the best sushi restaurants out there, and I can't recommend it highly enough!

C’est mon go to pour manger des vraies sushi. Tous est frais et qualité. De plus, ils font leur propre dessert (même leur glace)

I've been in love with mikado for over 20 years now. Always as good as it was and always as friendly as they were. You want good guaranteed sushi go on laurier mikado.

The food was fantastic, the seats and table were a bit unpleasant to sit at, and the server made a few errors (but was pleasant otherwise) so I highly recommend going here. The price is a bit unnecessarily high but not so much so that it's uncomfortable.

Le plateau de 72 sushis à emporter était très beau, très frais, avec une belle variété mais il était surtout délicieux!

Amazing crème brûlée, seafood is fresh with some certified organic options. Sushi was very fresh with rather subtle flavours.

Table d’hôte le midi. C’est une bonne option. Toutefois le prix reste un peu élevé pour la quantité. Le tataki de bœuf est bon mais la quantité est faible. Les sushis sont bons.

This is my all time favorite sushi restaurant. The quality of their fish and seafood is always top notch. The ingredients enhance the freshness of the seafood and fish and don’t steal the spotlight. Drinks are also always spot on.
The service is also very attentive and professional.
