Restaurant Mon Nan

C’était une jeune serveuse qui a décidé combien de pourboire que nous avons dû payer. Si vous dépendez de pourboire pour survire, vous seriez lamentables. Les plats que nous avons commandés avaient une saveur congelée.

Si vous avez envie de ce type de nourriture, c’est pas mal. J’ai cependant trouvé l’ensemble un peu trop gras et salé. Ceci dit, il y en a pour tous les goûts.

J’y suis allée un vendredi soir et le service était ultra rapide bien que le resto était plein.

Food was good and service was great but as we were leaving we saw a mouse scurry accross the dining room!

Great place if you want to really dive in the asian culture.
Amazing food, you can smell their kitchen from accross the block and it makes you salivate.
The price is just right, me and my spouse went there as a date and came out with way too much food and only 75$ spent for 2 appetizers, 2 main courses and beverages
We had to take some home.
Service is really good, people that work there really love their restaurant and it shows through their smile and attitude even when we went late and stayed a bit over the closing time.
Ambiance transports you oversea with a lot of decorations and music from their culture. Tables are big so you dont lack space went every plates comes in.

Tout simplement délicieux. Nous avons adoré et redécouvert la cuisine asiatique tellement meilleure que ce que nous avons eu l’occasion de goûter en France. Les plats sont très copieux prudence…. Mais quel régal

Portions énormes, plats délicieux, je recommence le P43 avec les crêpes au canard croustillant, un délice.
Il fait un peu trop froid dans la salle mais sinon tout est absolument parfait. Les serveurs sont attentifs et viennent souvent voir si tout se passe bien.

Horrible! I spent $40 US dollars to have food delivered and you don’t have the decency to include napkins or utensils! D0 better!

Authentic Chinese food, very large menu, food was excellent. When we were seared, we were automatically given a jug of water and a pot of green tea.

One of the best chinese restos ive been to, the food was delicious, the aimbiance was good. Staff was accomoding to my service dog aswell.

We always love going there. The food tastes fresh & delicious. It’s a must if you’re visiting Chinatown

Très bon, authentique, essayer l’intestine de porc vous risquez de découvrir quelque chose de délicieux (pour les avertis)

On doit demander de l'eau quand le pichet est vide et quand on demande si possible de commander la serveuse senva et prend pas la commande mais la nourriture excellent et après j'ai pas voulu donner de pourboire et je me fais ostiner et insister pourquoi pas de pourboire et je lui est dis mes raisons et après me dire que sa ne se fais pas mais le service que j'ai eu sa ne ce fais pas. Aucune table à langer.

A prendre note;  Harceler quelqu’un pour du pourboire, ce ne sera jamais accepté

Great for authentic Chinese cuisine, though it has gotten slightly worse lately, as they also want to cater their other clientele.

Mon Nan is a staple restaurant in Montreal, the food is always good! I particularly LOVE the salt and pepper frog legs and jellyfish

I have a thing about trying Chinese restaurants in various cities. It’s always interesting to see how each place puts their own spin on my favorites. Without a doubt this was the best experience I’ve ever had in my travels. The lobster and noodles was not only delicious but the presentation was incredible. I also had the General Taos chicken which was perfectly crispy and flavorful. The spring roll was probably the best I’ve ever had. My favorite aspect? The super friendly and welcoming service. The hostess couldn’t have been any nicer. I will definitely return on my next trip from Boston.

Typical Chinese restaurant setting. Located in Chinatown facilitates a great Chinese evening experience. Food was good but not great, but most seemed to really enjoy it. I recommend you give it a try. Enjoy!

Lots of vegetarian choices! The vegetarian dumplings were the highlight of the meal. Stupendous.

Excellent Peking duck! J’y suis allée principalement pour ce plat qu’on ne trouve pas facilement ailleurs à Montréal. Il était parfaitement réalisé et en plus en 3 courses et seulement un demi pour 58$ (parfait pour deux) je recommande fortement! On a aussi pris des xiao long bao en entree c’était parfait

Easily my Favorite restaurant in Chinatown. In short, this place will not disappoint if you are new to it. There is not a single dish that is bland, EVERY single dish on the menu can be someone's favorite. We love going there for how clean and nice the place is, not to mention the very courteous service. Great portions for the value ($) and the party venue upstairs is very organized, we've had many friends who did their wedding and kids' birthday parties! Monan is THE spot for all your chinese food cravings!

Nous sommes arrivés à deux sans réservation un vendredi soir. Nous avons été installé en 5min, commande prise 5 min plus tard et servis 5 min après! Le canard laqué à partager à deux est super bon! Tous les ingrédients traditionnels sont la, petites crêpes et sauce. Le bouillon fait avec la carcasse est délicieux et le riz fri avec le reste du canard parfait aussi! Et les xialongbao en entrées délicieux aussi. Une facture vraiment pas cher, un super service, vraiment top! Merci beaucoup!

We loved the sweet and sour pork and fried lobster dishes packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The service is also fantastic. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and eager to make your dining experience as enjoyable as possible.

A large portion is served according to the number of diners, the food is placed in the center on a rotating board, everything was very tasty.

Btween the two of us, we ordered Singaporean vermicelli and beef chow mein. They were so delicious and plentiful for us. We had the leftovers the next day. We went there on a Tuesday evening and there were only two other tables eating. I hope they get more business.

Friendly and pleasant employees. Food was beyond delicious, fresh and pretty quick. Many choices to cater to different dietary restrictions. Nice atmosphere clean and inviting.

Super restaurant, I really liked it, there are questions about aesthetics, but this is a minus of most Montreal catering establishments! I advise. We plan to visit again!

The food tastes really good! The service is very fast even with a lot of people in the restaurant.
