Restaurant Ophelia

Everything was excellent- from the service (thanks to Gabriel) to the food to the extremely cool experience eating in a dome outside in the middle of winter!

I went to look to eat at this place, wanted to eat inside of the dome in winter but we need 1 month reservation. Gabriel the server got us between reservation. The food was awesome I will definitely come back again. I really enjoyed that time and recommend to ppl.this is not cheap restaurant. But worth it.

We were able to secure a dome for the evening and I have to say, it's a whole other worldly experience dining in a small confined space. It's very intimate and private even though you can see everything and everyone around you. Let's first talk about the food! Just I n c r e d i b l e! We had the charcuterie board, salmon, lobster pasta and their specialty donut. Not only was every dish exquisitely made, the portions were equally satisfying too. We had 3 different servers for the evening and everyone of them was attentive and eager to help us out. They offered to take our pictures even without us asking. Gasp! We didn't get all their names but one fella Dave told us how much he buys into the mission and values of the restaurant and how well they are treated by the owners which is really nice to hear. When you treat your staff kindly and have the right staff, it shows. We felt like royalties. I highly recommend treating yourself here! You'll come out smiling from ear to ear!

Belle place avec une ambiance et charme! Nourriture préparée avec soin et attention par un chef hors pairs. J'ai adoré mon entrée de pieuvre grillée et mon plat de morue grillée avec sauce poivrons rouge et fromage de chèvre! Merci pour le bon service aux tables et recommandations.

Une soirée extraordinaire par un beau lundi soir. Merci Gabriel d’avoir su nous guider dans le choix de nos plats et du vin. Une découverte a recommandé. Ne passer pas à côté du Paris Brest.

Wow! Honnêtement meilleur resto où on a mangé. On a éssayé plusieurs plats et tout était délicieux. Ça vaut vraiment le détour. 10/10 pour la nourriture.

This is without doubt one of the best meal we’ve had at a restaurant. Being a chef myself and food critic blogger for many years…. I place high value on authentic food, from good quality FRESH ingredients. Restaurant Ophelia serves outstanding food, with excellent service. (The desert we had was unfortunately NOT a New York Cheese Cake … it was delicious, but not what it is advertised as)

The most delicious meal we’ve had! We ordered the grilled octopus & the duo platter with lobster, shrimp, scallops and rib eye. It was perfection! Thank-you Tristan, Anthony and the other staff member for making this experience so special. Can’t wait to come back again!

Bel endroit, par contre le serveur était très impoli il ne semblait pas du tout aimer son travail, n'est jamais venue nous demander si la viande était ok, donc nous avons manger même si la viande était pas assez cuite.

Prévoyez-vous un bon budget et gâtez-vous. Tout est délicieux, l’ambiance est magnifique et sympa.

Food was actually quite good. Beware if you have nut allergies, desserts are inadequately described. The Paris Brest dessert has peanuts drizzled on top which we only discovered after it was served, but happily before the peanut allergic one in our party tried it.

A very good dinner and an extensive and complete wine list; the waiters only speak French, although they are very helpful, it takes a bit of work for them to understand the way we order cuts and seafood; all 4 courses were excellent. The price is a bit high for the place and its setting, however after tasting the stews it is justified. Highly recommended!

Servis par Gabriel, excellent service tout au long du souper. Le personnel a été professionnel, courtois et très accueillant du début à la fin de la soirée. Les huîtres étaient d'une grande qualité, alors que le plateau de mer pour 2 personnes offrait une grande variété de saveurs. Le homard, la pieuvre, les crevettes et les pétoncles étaient tout simplement parfaits, et les légumes qui accompagnaient le repas étaient excellents. Je recommande à tous d'essayer, j'ai été grandement satisfait de mon expérience.

Beautiful place, excellent food and wine. It's definitely a great date night dinner than a stroll on the beautiful streets of old Qubec.

Initialement, nous avons eu un différent qui m’a fait mettre une étoile, suite à la résolution du problème et une soirée que nous avons passée à l’Ophelia, je dois changer mon évaluation de une étoile à cinq étoiles.

Le service était parfait

La nourriture très bonne, nous avons adoré nos plats de l’entrée au dessert.

Les vins recommandés étaient dans nos palettes de goûts!

Nous allons assurément y retourner!

Les tarifs restent assez onéreux tout de même (les desserts qui peuvent atteindre 20$), je comprends le coût des marchandises, car je suis également de la restauration, je suis donc bien placé pour savoir que coût de revient, qualité et prix raisonnable peuvent parfaitement cohabiter. C'est la seule ombre au tableau, mais c'est une ombre qui laisse une trace.

Sinon, la cuisine est bonne et joliment présentée pour une brasserie et le service était impeccable. C'est une belle adresse pour les fruits de mer qui sont vraiment de bonne qualité.

Made a reservation as a gift for my parents and provided the restaurant with my credit card for payment. They used my card for the meal. However, 30 mins later I received a fraud payment alert saying my card was used at a Subway a block down from Ophelia. Apparently someone from the restaurant took my card info and used it for a sandwich! I was speechless and called the restaurant right away. Had to cancel my card and couldn't use it for the rest of my parent's vacation. I strongly do NOT recommend this place due to the unethical behavior of utilizing customer's credit card information.

Le service était impeccable, par contre la cuisine n’était pas à la hauteur de mes attentes. Les huîtres étaient délicieuses, mais le steak à quand même 56$, ne valait pas le prix.

This restaurant disappointed our expectations. I have been here before twice past years and I had a much better experience than this time in 2023. The menu has changed and the ingredients are much cheaper and the quality of the food is not the same. We ordered roasted salmon and New York steak but none was to our expectations. The New York steak was smaller than the size it should be and it had no flavour and fries were super dry. The salmon with rice was awful. I recommend not to order it because only the salmon is good and the rice and the rest of ingredients don’t go well together. Overall a very bad experience and the restaurant is fairly overpriced. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
