Fantastic little place if you’re in the area and feel like Chinese food. Service is fast and the food quality is outstanding. My favorite spot if going out for an event in the Plateau.

Food: I’ve been craving laksa and the one they make here definitely hit the spot! The broth was flavourful and the chicken was tender. I only wish they added more toppings like fish cakes and tofu puffs.

Entry: We were two on a Saturday night and we were lucky, only had to wait 5-10 minutes to get a table.

Note: Another customer ordered a scorched salmon dish and they flame the dish in front of you. Definitely want to try that next.

Glad to see that the abandoned storefront turned into such a cool restaurant! We recommend the torched salmon which comes with a flame thrower haha

So delicious! What a little gem of a place! The chicken peanut noodles and the meat dumplings were so incredibly tasty! The torched salmon bowl was a whole show that was so entertaining to watch and delicious to eat. Plus they have bottles of nice wine for very reasonable prices. Good portions! The staff is very friendly. Very small space though so arrive early to guarantee a table.

As someone who grew up in a mixed chinese household, good dumplings is something we keep our eye out for, and these are some of the best dumplings I've ever had.
The chef does an amazing job for balancing the flavours, while maintaining the richness and clean taste of the ingredients as well as allowing for a proper bite with the dips, whoch each was unique and deep.
Very clean place, friendly staff, with the kitchen right in front so you have the closeness with the cooks, accompied by a beautiful flower with your meal.

The food was excellent and the service was very friendly. The place is not large, so it's more suited to groups of 2 to 4 people. The waitress was very helpful when came the time to order. Highly recommended!

My friends and I were walking on mont-royal looking for a restaurant that was open on a Monday night. We never expected the gold mine we found.
Rizière was the highlight of our night. Everything we ordered was beyond amazing.
We ordered a Beef dishes (F1) : I never knew beef could be this tender, it was breaking apart with only pressure from the tongue, and this is absolutely not an exaggeration! We also had the Laksa: a rich and creamy soup like dish, the noodles were on point, I don’t know how to describe this dish other than: OMG you have to try this! The level of spicy is perfectly balanced with the coconut milk, the broth is perfectly seasoned. No need to say that my bowl was clean once I was done, I was full half way through but I could not stop. This dish was, to me what heaven should taste like. We also had a few orders of dumplings as appetizers, they were the kinds of dumplings you never expect to eat elsewhere than in Asia, I never expect to find this level of quality in Montreal!

Our waiter was amazing, he was super professional and friendly. He recommended the Laksa: I will be forever grateful!
We were absolutely stunned when we received the bill after the meal. The level of quality which we never thought existed, the freshness of the food, the perfectly balanced flavours, the very reasonable portions, a bottle of wine and beers: all this for 135$!
We were expecting the bill to be around at least 200$!

This whole experience was absolutely not what we expected that night.
I will be forever thankful to my friends and I for walking in Rizière. I will definitely come back!

Been to this restaurant many times.
I think it is one of the fewest chinese restaurants where you can see how generous and passionate the chef and staff are.

I recommend the Sichuan sauce dumplings, and the beef soup, super delcious like a homemade grandma soup.

Première fois que je commande dans ce restaurant. Et c'est vraiment le meilleur restaurant chinois dans lequel, j'aie jamais commandé à Montréal.
J'ai commandé des dumplings et un Laksa au boeuf.
Je ne m'attendais pas à autant de saveurs. Je reviendrai sûrement!

This is a great spot for Chinese food! I would definitely recommend stopping by if you want to grab some authentic Chinese food. I can’t recommend the black bean noodles more as it was super flavourful and extremely tasteful.
The aesthetic is also quite beautiful since it feels very homey and you feel like your in the kitchen

Le Laksa est hélas tristement trop cher pour ce que c'est. Le goût est correct mais des petites nouilles, un bouillon trop clair, quelques pousses de soja et un peu de poulet pour 17$ + taxes c'est assez ridicule. Et une heure plus tard j'avais faim. Sinon bon service, joli décor.

Soupe froide et décevante. Le goût et les arômes n’étaient pas au rendez-vous. Tous les plats avec crevettes n’étaient pas disponibles. Le service était peu agréable et maladroit. Il y a de meilleurs restos asiatiques qui méritent le détour bien plus que celui-ci.

The salmon bowl was a delectable blend of absolutely fresh vegetables and salmon delicately seasoned with a bespoke mayonnaise side garnish. Really pleasant ambiance. Will be returning to make my way thru the menu.

Une découverte qui nous a laissé sans voix! De l’extérieur, le restaurant ne paye pas de mine. La déco est simple et ne surprends pas.

Par contre, leurs plats sont délicieux, goûtus et nous avons été extrêmement surpris par leur qualité, leur saveurs et leur fraîcheur. Le service au top et la jeune serveuse, souriante et agréable malgré la salle à gérer a elle toute seul durant le festival mural. Bravo

Si j’avais pu sérieusement rajouté encore plus d’étoiles à mon avis je l’aurais fait volontiers.

G trouve la bouffe vraiment bonne, Je vous conseille un plat avec le bœuf aux piments, car c’est delicieux.

Flaming salmon rice is GORGEOUS and a MUSTRY! The flavorings and the salmon were nicely mixed together with the flame. Can’t have enough of this!

Ordered the shrimp rice bowl of Rizière and the dumplings with pork, Chinese chives and shrimps but there was no shrimps inside.
The bowl of rice was awesome though, will definitely buy that one again.

Vegetarian options are each excellent! Service, atmosphere and personal interest in customers is a definite invitation to return again and again. This has quickly become a favorite place to relax and enjoy a meal with friends. The neighborhood has many good places to eat but this one is special - and I'm so glad to live nearby!

Very good noodles, both fried and noodle soup are quite tasty. The beef noddle is classic. Definitely would recommend this one.

Excellente expérience! L'accueil de la propriétaire est très chaleureux et convivial. Le menu est très simple. Un choix d'entrées froides et chaudes et une belle variété de nouilles (garnies, sautés ou avec bouillon) et des dumplings. Tout était excellent et frais. Tout fait maison au moment.

Great service, the staff is very nice and the food is excellent. The noodles are homemade and very delicious you can feel the amazing texture which is different that regular noodles that you buy in other restaurants. (and also I recommend the beef soup noodles!)

Il y a trop de sortes de nourriture en Chine ne savent pas quoi manger. Manger de la nourriture chinoise à Montréal a vraiment peur de choisir le mauvais restaurant. Si vous choisissez le mauvais restaurant, vous ne pouvez manger qu'un peu. Mais je pense que les Canadiens sont très heureux, et je ne peux que soupirer silencieusement.

Dans le monde, seul l'amour et la nourriture ne peuvent pas échouer, l'amour a trop échoué, la nourriture ne peut plus échouer. Le temps de savourer une bonne nourriture est heureux, mais le temps d'attendre que la bonne nourriture sorte est le plus heureux
