Restaurant Shifu

Ordered the broccoli beef trio. “Trio” meaning that it comes with: the main dish, a beverage, and two spring rolls. The sauce for the broccoli beef was really poorly done as if it came from a frozen meal. However, the spring rolls were delicious. It really saved me from this meal.

I also asked for a wonton soup which was a flop as well with no flavour.

We ordered a few dishes, and all was delicious except for 1 the GT chicken to me was very hard so had to I bite off the hard parts to enjoy the meal, that would not stop me from enjoying delicious meals from them.

It's kinda crazy how nice the presentation is and how large the servings are for the price. I am small man so I typically split one dish across two meals, so it's crazy affordable, and I don't even use the 10% student discount. It also just tastes good

Le rapport quantité/prix est très bon. Pour un trio vous avez une grosse portion, deux rouleaux et une boisson.
Idéal en fin de soirée, communauté étudiante, pour une grande faim et petit budget. Options végétariennes tout aussi bonnes.

I’ve been here a few times, I really like the chow fun noodles, soya noodles and salt & pepper chicken. Big portions and very fair price; for about 19$ you get a bit plate, 2 egg rolls and a drink. Will be going back.

Surprisingly tasty and authentic Chinese food outta here - and I say this 100% as compliment b/c I've had way too many times of dining somewhere with similar menu, vibe, and indoor decor and got served inedible hogwash (at a higher price). This place is different: the cantonese chow fan here has gotta be one of the best I've came across this side of the Rockies.

I love this place! The menu has just enough popular dishes and it's high quality and super tasty! The service was perfect = she asked me if I had any questions about the menu, she was patient and recommended Chow Fun.

Food is fine. Resto is a vibe. Today I went there like usual, this time ordered fried rice and fishball to go but pic is what I got. They always get my name wrong, but that’s fine like whatever cuz it isn’t a big deal. But can you guys pls double check the order before handing in to the customers, im writing a review this time bc this is not the first time i got wrong orders and only found out when i opened the boxes at home

The general tao was not red like the other places so i guess they don’t use food coloring. I really liked it tho, really crunchy and delicious!

Amazing food fast service and employee really enjoy their jobs! Super friendly and willing to help. I ate here 2 days in a row with the exact same experience, which really made me happy. A lot of food at a reasonable price. I would recommend as the chicken here is amazing. Only thing I wish is that you could substitute the rice for noodles other than that A+ from me.

The staff was super friendly, not very informative but very kind. My poor rating isn’t even about the quality of the food, the Gen Tao was very good, the chow mein was forgettable… But the price vs portion ratio is insane, I was in shock when I opened my order. My order came up to 37$ for G Toa and Canto Chow mein, the general Tao container had about 8-9 pieces and then a mountain of rice for filler, the chow mein was mushy noodles and barely any of them. Those noodles are literally cents on the dollar, do yourself a favour and stuff the container. This place just opened in an area that has become known as the second Chinatown with many options in close proximity. I was shocked by the price, the portions and the food was average. Skip it

C’est vraiment délicieux et très copieux! J’ai essayé un trio avec riz frit au boeuf, c’était bien parfumé et pas trop gras! Les fish balls au curry sont une tuerie et leurs boissons au lait sont à tomber par terre.

Got the gtao and chowmein and was not disappointed, very tasty. Nice portion and fun packaging.

My friend Lina got invited to try some the dishes at Shifu and I got to tag along.

We got the salt and pepper chicken as well as the fried rice dishes. Each came with two egg rolls and a beverage of our choice. We also got two dishes: coco curry fish balls and siu mai. The portions are generous and the packaging is neat and it’s all compostable!

In terms of taste, I really liked the egg rolls with the sauce. The sauce also paired nicely with the salt and pepper chicken!

I’d come here again. I would want to try the sesame beef and G-Tao dishes as well as the ha gao.

The staff are super friendly and sweet. Love the music (old school r&b).
All the combo start at $18 dollar, if you’re a student and on a budget. This place is not for u. Even the peanut snack jar is $7 while I buy them for $2.99. After reading most reviews, it is true there’s a lot of sodium or maybe it’s MSG because I had to drink 2 glass of water after my meal. The service is a bit slow since u have to wait for the food to be prepared and cook. And there’s people ordering online, so even if u walk in first. You still have to wait. Maybe next visit the service will improve.

Generous portions and very cute branding but my chow fun was WAY too salty. I’m usually the kind of person that adds tons of salt to everything so I’m not usually one to complain about excess salt, but this was really way too much. Also a bit too pricey for a fast casual Chinese place.

Got the chow fun and salt & pepper tofu and it was so so good! Tastes authentic and you can really tell how much love they put into it. Will definitely get again:)
