Restaurant Sho-dan

Sho Dan in Montreal is a fantastic restaurant! The food is delicious, and the service is top-notch. From the sushi to the noodle dishes, everything is expertly prepared and presented. The staff is friendly and attentive, making for a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommended!

Passable at best. Tasteless appetizers, boring presentation, strangely "warm" and very chewy sushi. Not worth the price. Service was only highlight, really.

Entièrement satisfait de nos entrées et de nos plats. Je recommande la salade wakame et l’assiette sushis/sashimis. Grand restaurant avec ambiance chaleureuse et pas bruyant. L’accueil et le service du personnel sont exemplaires. Le restaurant est à deux minutes de marche du métro Peel. Belle découverte, je vais retourner à ce restaurant.

I would've given 3 stars if the food wasn't so overpriced for the quality. The ambience and service was nice however the black cod was $35 which was nicely cooked but the sauce was sweet it didn't taste good, the sides were extremely cheap and disappointing as well. The entrées were just okay and the sauces didn't taste good, either oddly sour or sweet and the teriyaki chicken was tough. I didn't try the sushi, maybe it would've been better but this restaurant is definitely overpriced and overrated for what I had. I'm familiar with Japanese cuisine but this wouldn't be the place to go on my opinion.
