Restaurant Shoji Sushi

Great place for sushi! We ordered the omakase and deluxe bento and it was an amazing experience! Everything was beautifully presented and tasted great. Our server was also super friendly and did not rush us out after lunch hours. I would recommend to call to make reservations, and you can find parking behind the building in case it’s full in front.

We've only ordered through uber so far, so this review is solely about the food. We highly recommend their chirashi bowl, it is filled with fresh and flavorful ingredients and the rice is always perfect!

Menu dégustation à faire! Wow! Service fort sympathique. Belle petite importation de saké et bons conseils. Un beau souper pour fêter une belle occasion.

Un beau choix de sushi. En particulier les spécialités tel que le roméo et juliette ainsi que le mango. La qualité est toujours au rendez-vous et la présentation est soignée.

Food is good, but the service was not good. 1st time they overbooked and couldn't honor the reservation. This time we reserved for 6pm, we were almost the only one in the restaurant but our waiter still seemed really stressed about the next reservation (7: 45pm). Given other review I feel they are bad at managing the reservation. Right away we felt rushed and even if we didn't ordered yet. I tried to get a description of what the different price of sashimi plates gets you, but again our waiter failed to communicate the number of piece and fish we would get, starting at 60$ for the cheapest I want to know what I pay for. We decided to order food but probably a lot less than we originally planed. Waiters and sushi chefs seems to argue a lot also on what was ordered in general (take out as well). A lot of confusion could be perceived. Food was good, but it felt overpriced in general. I won't go back.

We ordered there many times, best sushi place we ever had. So glad to have this gem close to our place. It is a bit more expensive than a regular sushi restaurant but the quality and service make up for it. The fish is very fresh and delicious 10/10 recommend

Quelle déception! Voilà plus de 15 ans que nous fréquentons assidument le Shoji. Amateurs de sashimis nous avions déjà remarqué depuis la modification du menu une dégradation de l'offre. Fini les belles coupes franches et maigres. Notre repas d'hier soir Omakase + quelques sashimis à la carte (qui devient presqu'inexistante) était truffé de retailles de parties grasses de saumon, maquereau et autres substitutions étranges et d'une qualité douteuse sous l'appellation ARRIVAGES. Un fourre-tout qui sous le couvert d'offrir des poissons plus gras, nous offre des retailles et des parties du poisson juste bonne à donner au chat. Nous ne mangeons pas le gras et les retailles de découpe de la viande, alors pourquoi payer plus de 200 $ pour des retailles et du gras de poisson sans chair? Désolée, c'était bien notre dernières soirée chez vous!

Order $150 value omakase on Uber eats. This is what my $178 OMAKASE LOOKS LIKE! On the description says 40-50 pieces. What I actually receive is 32 pieces with bunch of salad, and some sashimi is in tiny pieces. I guess fish roe also count and make it to 50 pieces? I called them and they says chef missing pieces. Is it true? They don't check before deliver to customer? Is there first time packing omkase? They don't find it weird it looks so less? Or they just don't care Uber can refund ppl. All other Omakase share on Google look so nice, but mine? Still feel hunger after eating and I feel cheated and they are trying to gain trustworthy back, but Im so sorry you just lost one client.

This is by far the best sushi place i've ever been. Not very ofter a bite of food makes me say wow, but Shoji did. Great spot, cozy atmosphere, excellent food.

I have been to this sushi restaurant multiple times and it is always delicious. So incredibly tasty and fresh. The place is clean and nicely decorated with a cozy feel. I highly recommend.

We tried the deluxe omakase, and was not overly thrilled. The ingredients were very fresh, but felt the sashimi “bowl” was just repetitive and lack creativity. The wagyu uni rice was good as a wrap up, but felt the truffle wasn’t necessary.
The dessert was a chocolate cake… and I was meh…
Customer service was also very minimal.

I accidentally found this amazing restaurant at Southshore. Have been going since everyyear for our saint Valentine. 5/5!

Came on a slow night, they had enough people working but food still took forever to come, like 30+ mins per dish:/ (we’ve had the same experience previously but they claimed that it was because of being short staffed). Wonder what this time’s excuse is. Slow and expensive. Not worth it

Mon amie et moi avons partagé le menu Omakase, un menu dégustation au choix du chef. Tout était absolument sublime, sans exception. Les sashimis étaient délicats, les makis plein de saveurs. J'y retournerais n'importe quand.

If you want great quality sashimi bang for your buck, Shoji is the place!
They have 3 omakase for 2 at 100$/120$/150$. The difference between the 100$ and the 120$ is the foie gras on top of the salmon nigiris.

Honestly, you would never find this amount of food and quality for 120$ for 2 anywhere else. We were really full!

They also have great cocktails and service is amazing! Must try if you are in the area!

Tout était bon, mais le saumon dans le dragon eye était passé date. Forte odeur de moisi. Vraiment innacceptable! Je ne commanderai plus à ce resto.

Très bel endroit, beau choix de bières et différents type d'alcool. La nourriture est aussi très bonne.
