Restaurant Tendresse

Truly fantastic food, service and wine. I have visited on a few occasions now and have been impressed by every new dish I try. Everything is very flavorful, well balanced and thoughtfully presented. I really enjoy that there is an emphasis on seasonality and using every part of the vegtable. I recently visited with my partner (he and I are both chefs, myself vegan and him a carnivore) and my father who is a sommelier and a carnivore as well. It truly is the mark of a good vegan resturant when they can impress meat eaters. We received incredible service from Nicholas. His service was very friendly and attentive, and he Is an excellent sommelier. He offers excellent pairings and always has new and interesting wines to try. It is very rare that I see my father, a sommelier of 45 years, be so impressed by a resturants wine selection. He also provided wonderful mocktails and teas for me, as I am currently pregnant and not drinking alcohol. Nicholas wine selection is a large part of the reason my father insists on dining at Tendresse everytime he comes to Montréal to visit me. I will certainly continue to dine here and look forward to my next meal.

Best restaurant in montreal, by far. Ive been there multiple times and have never been disappointed. Most often served by Rose and Andy i believe, they are super sweet and kind. Will 100% come back again and again. The food is amazing, Montréal à table was by far the best service and best food ive ever had in my life. The dumplings and foccacia are a must try. The portions are fairly small but with a whole service it’s just perfect. The place is super cozy yet chic and fun. Best vegan restaurant ive ever been to.

Super bon service de Nicholas durant MTL à table. Très accueillant, il était présent pour nous conseiller sur les différents plats. Très professionnel. Un menu exquis et un endroit où nous allons venir encore plus souvent!

Tasty and creative dishes, great wine selection. This place is a big hit with non-vegan friends and family and has one of the best vegan brunch in Montreal.

Our expectations were high because it's rated 4.7 out of 5, but we're disappointed. It is not worth it! The dishes look good, but tastes so so. The atmosphere is not like a restaurant. And it is pricey. And it is " Vegan "!

Excellent brunch. We loved all of our starters. Mimosas are top notch. Coffee to die here. Will come again for the coffee alone. The village needs some love as we all know so be prepared to tell a few folks you don't have spare change along the way. Will definitely come back for the starter list alone. Mushrooms mushrooms mushrooms.

Les repas étaient tous délicieux! Les breuvages chauds plutôt moyen mais j'ai adoré le cocktail Jardin. Je recommande fortement l'entrée de pleurotes! Les gaufres salé et sucré ont été très appréciées. Je préfère néanmoins l'assiette de tacos.

Outstanding attention to detail, both in the kitchen and with our table. We had three courses served by two different people who were absolutely committed to making our evening comfortable and memorable. Flawless presentations from the chefs, brought to us with pride and courtesy all through our stay. Just lovely people serving exquisitely delicious dishes.

The food was absolutely amazing! We had the Béné, Brunch Sandwich, and Mushroom Waffle - all equally amazing but different. The staff was very nice and attentive, the prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was trendy and laidback. 100% going back!

2023 Update: I went back, and I still love it!

Phenomenal! Food is excellent, the staff is absolutely wonderful and the vibe is just right. Bistro Tendresse is everything we wanted in a dinner experience and more ️

Pour y être allé à diverses occasions et avec diverses personnes, je n'ai que de bons souvenirs de cette exceptionnelle Tendresse! Je vous recommande ce restaurant avec grand bonheur. Cuisine, service et propositions de vins si appréciés que ce lieu a inspiré mon conjoint et moi à se fiancer. Pour ces doux "torrents d'allégresse", merci infiniment Tendresse!

Je partais vraiment avec de grosses attentes tant j’ai entendu parlé en bien de cet établissement. Et bien je ne suis pas déçue du tout. Les assiettes sont magnifiques, les différentes plats sont savoureux et parfaitement à assaisonnés. Coup de cœur énorme pour les Pleurotes King. J’aurais pu manger juste ça en grosse portion tellement c’est trop bon.
Oui, ce n’est pas adapté à tous les budgets, mais pour de la qualité, ça vaut le déplacement.
Aussi, le service était vraiment excellent, le sourire du début jusqu’à la fin.
C’est clair que je vais revenir!

Bon restaurant vegan, qui a même convaincu plusieurs omnivores. Petite carte de brunch mais produits frais.
Dommage qu'il n'y ai pas de jus de fruits frais proposés, et dommage également que les frites accompagnant le burger (à 5$ de supplément) soient des frites surgelées.

Chose this place blindly and was not disappointed! We walked in without reservations and was sat quickly at a table. The service was friendly and great.
I ordered the oasis mixed drink and it was DANGEROUSLY good.
The burger was great and the cajun-seasoned fries were excellent (coming from Americans). Another person in our party got the fried oyster mushrooms and said that while it was on the smaller size of things, it was still enough to fill her up.

Je veux tout d'abord mentionner que je ne suis pas végétalien. Je crois que c'est important de le mentionner pour montrer à quel point j'ai aimé ce restaurant. J'ai absolument adoré la nourriture dans ce restaurant et j'y retournerai volontier plusieurs fois à l'avenir.

En particulier, le bok-choy grillé (menu souper) était tout simplement sublime et le plat de gauffre salé (menu brunch) était un delice.

Très belle découverte de l'univers vegan qui m'était pour le moment étranger. Tout était parfait! Mention spéciale pour le service hyper attentionné ️

Trop cher pour ce que c'est.salade a 12$ pour un peu de salade et des radis marinés, et des gnochi pateuse qui goutait rien. 1ère fois, dernière fois.

Excellent resto vegan en plein coeur du village, jolie terrasse. Un beau petit menu simple et frais. Nous avons très bien mangé je ne bois pas, mais la carte de vin était très intéressante. Nous allons y retourner, pour essayer le brunch! Merci pour l'excellent service.

Food was delicious, i wish we would have discovered it closer to the start of our week vacation in Montreal because i would eat these breakfast tacos every day if i could. Vibes, taste, and price all 10/10. A girl could only dream for a place like this in Ohio!

Très sympathique établissement avec un accueil super. Au menu, ne pas hésiter sur le risotto ou le tofu, un vrai régal.

Amazing service and food. The owner is so pasionate about sharing vegan cuisine and it transpires in the delicious dishes. I am not a vegan but really enjoyed all the food. I would highly recommend visiting Tendresse for a great meal and a new experience.

L'ambiance est géniale, la bouffe délicieuse et on n'a ressenti aucune pression à partir lorsque nous avons eu terminé de manger. Excellent service:)

Casual vegan restaurant. Not many options. We paid 12 or 14 for a starter - a piece of tofu that was supposed to be marinated with a peanut sauce. It was a joke. Although the main dishes were decent (the menu needs work), the portions were beyond tiny.

The service was awful. That seems to be the problem with these hipster restaurants. The servers that make you feel like you are a burden to them. Unless there is a marked improvement in the menu and staff, we will not be back. LOV McGill is the benchmark for this type of restaurant, and Bistro Tendress is falling far short of that mark.

Service was good, and my meal (TLC sandwich) was excellent. However, I have 3 remarks: for a place that advertises that it does brunch, it only has 4 choices on the menu. Second, the portions are unequal (my husband had the pancakes - a measly 2 tiny pancakes, and I ended up sharing my breakfast sandwich). Third, an inspiration du chef of the day would have been nice.

Delicious, healthy and great service. The restaurant has a chic/cozy vibe, the portions were perfect and the prices are fair. Nice playlist too. Great place to eat in The Village!

Portions petites pour le prix, nous sommes tous restés sur notre appétit sauf ceux qui avait manger le burger. Les plats étaient bons mais la plupart contenait beaucoup de friture, il serait super d’avoir des options nutritives et saines pour la santé!

Brunch du dimanche matin sympathique, bonne bouffe, choix un peu limité mais efficace, délicieux cafés, belles présentations et service courtois et rapide.

Un service adorable dans une ambiance chaleureuse. Tout y est bon et beau. Une carte de vin bio et repas vegan excellents. Gros coup de coeur pour la déco!

Je suis venue avec mon amie qui est vegane. On a adoré, le tacos vient par deux. On en a pris un chacun, super bon! Le tofu est vraiment trompeur, il est panné genre comme un poulet pané, incroyable. Leur cocktail sont succulent.j'ai pris le Tao (hyper bon, goûteux, extraordinaire) et mon amie le Dumpling, tellement bons! Le rapport qualité prix est vraiment bien pensé. Le serveur remplissé souvent l'eau, venez souvent demander si tout est bon. La décoration est mignonne comme tout! Ils font leur lait végétal maison. Le matcha latté délicieux et le latté super. Les biscuits sont supers bons! Je recommande fortement, j'y reviendrai!

L’entrée de brocolis frits était excellente. Les Gauffres aux champignons contenaient de bonnes saveurs; par contre on se tanne du sucré à la longue et la gaufre devient détrempée. Alors à manger rapidement si ce n’est pas une texture que vous appréciez.

Very cool vibe, with an awesome sound system and great playlist. It's nice to go to a vegetarian restaurant that also manages to make you feel like you're having a night out. Service was phenomenal. We went there during the soft opening. The food was, however, not so great. But that's because I look for very fresh ingredients when I eat vegetarian. The food was very saucy and tapas-like. Regardless it was a creative spread. If I had to recommend something it would be the dumping-that was pretty darn good.

Très beau resto dont le décor d'inspiration scandinave tranche avec ce que l'on trouve dans le village. Plats veganes bien présentes et très goûteux. Petite réserve cependant: l'apport en protéines n'est peut être pas suffisant.

Tried the place for the first time. I had the papaya salad, very yummy and fresh. I had the Israelian Couscous, very healthy and delicious. Great service with a smile!

Nous sommes venu déjeuner un dimanche pour leur brunch malgré qu'ils offrent aussi leur menu original aussi, et tout était excellent! Leur tofu brouillé est wow ainsi que leur crettonade! Je recommanderais ce resto a n'importe qui! Il y en a pour tous les gouts:) le service et l'ambiance etait super!

Great interiors don't make great food.unfortunately other than looks, Tendresse doesn't offer anything special.broccoli bang-bang didn't even bang once for us.it was too greasy, the oil practically dripped with every bite.the same goes for couscous, all the tastes mixed in this dish were a nice combination, crispy grapes were contrasting with soft couscous.nice.but again.oil ruined everything, there was much too much of it.and burrito, it was ’meh’ at best.the salad was ok, the mayo sauce very nice, but the burrito was a letdown.it was flat in taste, baked beans lacked salt.the whole burrito lacked the taste at all, sorry but some pico de gallo wouldn't hurt it too.the burrito was topped with sweet potato chips, they were ok.but since I'm complaining so much already.when you serve a dish that is to be eaten with your hands, leave the salad out or at least serve it with fries.you can't use a fork with chips.it's just inconvenient. ‍️

Tout simplement délicieux! Je trouve que les ingrédients et saveurs finissent souvent par se ressembler dans les restos vegans, mais j'ai été agréablement surprise chez Tendresse. En plus, le décor est cute! J'y retournerai, c'est certain!

Plats bien travaillés et dé-li-cieux; service efficace et accueillant; ambiance parfaite pour un brunch entre amis ou pour une p'tite date. Déco parfaite pour ton IG. Bravo! J'y retournerai souvent.

This place has a lovely and lively atmosphere and awesome service. They are relatively new so they are very open to all and any concerns regarding their restaurant. I originally tried they’re parfait, which while good was overly sugary that I couldn’t finish the dish. The staff was very understanding and helped me choose a different dish, all while taking my criticism seriously. I appreciate any place that tries to provide an optimal experience, but allows themselves to be open for improvement. If you are looking for a trendy spot with a unique take on brunch I recommend trying it out!
