Service was awesome and food was even better! It was packed when we went and the server was still very quick and attentive, and we didn’t wait long for our food. Would definitely recommend, and return our next visit to Montreal.

It was good, but it surprised me that I was in Montreal, in Quebec, and they didn't have Syrup.

Waiter was very friendly and very busy. He was flying around serving at least 6 tables simultaneously. We dropped by because it was close to the cinema. Our food came almost an hour after we made an order, hence we were late for our movie. I had vegetarian omelette that comes with a choice of mashed potatoes and a some greens that just looked unappetizing. Mashed potatoes were terrible. Omelette itself was okay. The other dish that we ordered was steak that came with a salad and rice. It was mediocre.

Reuben's is an absolute must visit when in Montreal. From their famous Reuben sandwiches to their excellent wine and alcohol list. Staff are very welcoming and service is fast. Atmosphere is inviting to both large and small groups.

Great food. Awesome experience. My waiter wasn't not the best though. Didn't check on us when we were eating and even after we finished our lunch at all. But over all the food was really good.

The smoked meat was ok. It wasn’t amazing but it was still good. The fries were fresh and crunchy. The service was horrible. None of the waiters smiled which was kind of weird. We only saw our waiter twice (once when he took our order and another time when he got our bill). When we ordered our food, we told him that we wanted to share the poutine but he didn’t care enough to give us plates. Someone else gave us our food. The waiter never came to check if everything was ok. Our glasses of water was almost empty but he never came to fill them. Overall, I wouldn’t come back due to the bad service. If you really want the food, I would suggest you get takeout.

Great service from multiple staff but the waitress we had gave exceptional, above average customer service. Super efficient, friendly and professional-her name was Tania!

Une bonne place pour manger de la viande fumée, ils servent un excellent gateau à la carotte. Le restaurant manque un peu d’air et sent parfois trop fort la viande fumée.

Une serveur super sympa (Orly), répondant à nos nombreuses questions de touristes français sur tout. Un repas copieux, bon.

The French onion soup was pretty delicious. Also had a great old fashioned.

I also had their classic Montreal style rib eye but I have to say although it was good, it didn't fit my expectations. It was not evenly cooked so some areas were more cooked than others. It was slightly over seasoned as well.

I expected a steakhouse feel but it's certainly more like a diner. I'd come back but perhaps for smoked meat instead of steak

Quick stop for lunch, Reuben’s caught our eye. My girlfriend got the Chicken soup and I got the French Onion. I would have given this restaurant 5 stars if the French Onion soup wasn’t so dam salty. I tried to water it down with my glass of water but that didn’t work. I just ate the cheese on top. The waiter didn’t even care to ask why I didn’t even put a dent on it but it’s okay. For lunch I got the turkey club with fries. My girlfriend got the Soulvaki Platter. Everything was good, not amazing out of this world good but pretty good. I’d consider going back and ordering a Reuben. I read they are really good here.

Smoke meat are to die for everything is amazing the cheesecake sooo yummy the carrot cake oh my lord and the girl who serve us her name is kelanie her smile open you appetite her beauty make you ask for more food, the guy responsible and be sue all the order are correct he is hot and cool, employees all friendly lovely make you feel like you are eating at home and not a restaurant,
Believe whatever I say is not enough do not forget that the price are amazing regarding the location amount of food and quality i thought it’s a lot more for what we did pay

My wife and I came in to Reubens for lunch while visiting Montreal and we were hugely impressed! We were looking around for something good to eat and saw this come up in a number of reviews. I had heard about the Montreal Smoked Meat sandwiches, and being a big fan of Pastrami in New York, had to give them a try.

We were seated immediately (around 12: 45p), but soon after we got in things got crazy busy and it looked like there was a small wait.

My wife got the spaghetti bolognese and found it to be a nice hearty warm up for the winter weather. Portion size was absolutely huge.

I got a Molson Canadian and the classic Reuben, and it was fantastic. The meat was super moist and juicy and the flavors of the sandwich were perfect. Way more than I could eat in a setting, but what a great lunch!

Service was absolutely perfect, and we were in and out quickly. Great stop for lunch! We'll probably be back before we leave town!

Huge portion. Smoked meat and poutine are delicious! Price is reasonable for the size of the meal. Staff and server are super friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

Nous avons reserver pour 18h pour 6 personnes. A notre arriver on a dû attendre 15 min pcq il n'avait pas de table disponible.
J'ai aimé ce que j'ai commandé. Un club sandwich. Seule petit bemole. Jaurai aimé qu'il soit couper en 4 et non en 2 et le pain du dessous etait mouillé a cause qu'il avait trop de tomate dedans. Mais dans l'ensemble le goût etait très bon. Mon 3 etoiles consiste au service médiocre que nous avons reçus. Serveur impatient. Bete. Sans sourire. Qui ne connait pas son menu. Il nest jamais revenue remplir nos verres d'eau qui etaient tous vides. Les drinks que mes amies ont eu etaient vrm pas bon selon leur commentaire.
Le serveur semblait presser qu'on partent mais quand il fut le temps de payer il a prit tout son temps. Bref il a eu aucun tip de ma part et mes copines ont donnés bcp moin que supposé. Un service ca se paye et on en a pas reçu hier soir. Dommage pour lui car a l'habitude nous donnons d'excellent pourboires.

Comme je lai dit. A 18h. Ca ete poster hier donc nous y avons ete ce samedi le 20 octobre. Je connais pas le nom du serveur mais on là surnommer l'air bete. Et oui cetait bien au 1116 ste catherine et non un ote similaire. Jai bien reservee chez reubens deli pour 18h comme je lai tres bien détailler dans le message précédent. Et si vous êtes decu imaginez comment nous etions.
Nous ne reviendrons pas.

The food was wonderful and the service was lightning quick. I came as part of a group of 70 and everything went perfectly well. We were all able to enjoy a great meal and still made it back to our conference on time. I highly recommend this place!

We got our smoked meat fix in here last week and everything was delicious. Try the fried bread and butter pickles! I wish I could come back for some smoked meat mac n cheese.

Our waiter seemed like he didn't really care too much about serving us, but at least fake it like all the other people waiting tables out there.

If it was possible to give a score of 0, I would have. Arrived at the diner for what was supposed to be a nice start to our morning for breakfast. We were seated immediately, however following that, we literally had our menus thrown onto our table. Staff were audibly heard cursing to other patrons. We waited patiently for 10 minutes and were never acknowledged. We left and walked to another local restaurant “ Eggspectation” and had our breakfast there with a far better experience!
Highly disappointed in this Montreal institution

The staff is polite and helpful. Ambience is not bad but I would have appreciated bigger seats so we could sit comfortably. The food was tasty but quite greasy. Quantities are generous and worth the price you pay.

Really good food, though the guy at the door is pushy. ;) He wants you in there, and will do anything to get you in! Not that that's a bad thing. ;)

I’ve been there 3 times and I’ve never been disappointed. The food is like an explosion of flavours in your mouth. The dimmed lights and the music creates an intimate relax vibe. It’s the perfect place for all types of occasions.

Les repas sont toujours aussi copieux et excellents. Belle ambiance. Les plats sont bien maîtrisés par le chef. J'ai adoré le steak cow-boy avec sauce chimmichuri. Seul bémol, le service est parfois un peu lent, mais toujours courtois. Bref, un classique à Montréal!

Family friendly! Go for the original reubens and upgrade your french fries for poutine fries! Yum! My baby started screaming because she was happy and she’s discovering her own sounds, she’s 8 months, if you are a parent you know that sometimes its out of your control to shush the little happy fellow. And old lady came closer just to let me know my baby ruined her night, and they had to left the place because of it. Our waitress and several other waiters where so embarrassed and apologized several times they even wanted to carry the baby. She wasn’t crying or screaming for unhappiness or discomfort, she was just been overly happy. Awesome experience
