Was privileged to experience this next level performance, I've seen quite a few, but this one was on a few next level, dancers are the champs in the industry, but not without the musicians and vocalists, each one of them had their unique tones, to the strings and the brass it was beyond a gypsy venture, in conclusion, to sum it up, this event was one of the best balls grabbing experience I've seen in a very long time, and trust me, as a Romanian that have seen some of the best acoustic live performances, this made me clap and stomp the whole way long.i may be going back again next week for their extended schedule, don't miss this one out.
Amazing venue! Iconic place on Parc avenue. Elegant and sophisticated. Architecture is on point; detailed sealings, caring and professional staff. Highly recommended it for events, partys. I attentend the annual CPA party and it was a blast. Prices are not too bad. I drink goes for 8$ plus tips. If you get the double, its 12$. So always go for the double.
Beautiful location. The bar is basic but the tenders are efficient. It's especially notable because it's an intimate setting. Easy to access via public transit. Lots of great food in the area to grab before a show.
The Parc Avenue Jewel! It used to show many Greek films in the 70s & 80s also provided theater spectacles with Greek actors such as the great comedian Vegkos! The Greek community had the chance to get together, remember their heritage-traditions and feel for awhile that they were close to their home country, Greece.
Nice place for shows. The room theater is beautiful. They also have a smaller room in the basement that host standup show occasionally. Easier to access in transportation. Little hard to find parking in that area.
They run supplies for the bar at the back of the auditorium through the crowd, stage left. Had a member of bar staff melancholicly lumber by up to eight or nine times per song carrying one slab of beer, one slab? ! Almost comical, if u gotta run this through the crowd during the performance can't be that hard to find someone who can carry four or five at a time? !
Attended the theatre to see Katya's 'Help Me I'm Dying' show. The theatre itself was nice, but some obvious neglect / age showing in a few parts (obvious burnt out bulbs, cleanliness, etc). It was very hard to understand what we being said through the sound system. The show itself was fun and well produced (aside from the sound). The major issue I had was with who I assume was security patrolling through the room during the show. Multiple times they wanted right in our way and blocked our line of sight to the stage. This happened fairly frequently, maybe every 10-20 minutes. Nothing pulls you out of the experience like some random guy wandering by and blocking you on a regular basis. All in all, though, it was a great experience.
Awful place to see a concert. The sound in this venue is horrible. Going to see a show in the winter? Be prepared to wait outside because they have the slowest coat-check / ticket checking process. Want to see an up and coming act that was booked here? Expect to pay double what they would play for at any other venue of a comparable size in the city and for it to sound worse.
SUPER disappointed that Blue Skies Turns Black is supporting this theatre now with lots of good bookings in 2019 - seems like a big waste of time. Waiting to be proven wrong after 3 bad experiences in the last 6 months.
We went for the party like Gatsby event and i really enjoyed the place and the show. However the bar situation was ridiculous to the point that we left halfway to go have a drink somewhere else. It took an easy 45 minutes to get a drink which is totally unacceptable.
The Rialto is a fun place to see shows. Do not be disappointed if you have to go upstairs, the sightlines are excellent and the seats are more comfortable that the stools and tables on the ground floor. Parking in the area is scarce, either come early, be prepared to park further north on Park Avenue, or take public transportation or an Uber.
Beautiful place, brilliant acoustic! Not massive, as in don't expect to fit more than 150 people at best but for a swing concert that included dancing. It fit the bill perfectly!
J'ai eu la chance de performer dans ce Lieu en tant que DJ Et, Le Theatre Rialto Est un Endroit Magnifique! Superbe Espace pour vos Evenements Corpoatifs et Privees!
Attended an art gallery, I cant really comment on the facilities that much as I wasent there for long. But I was pretty unhappy about the mandatory coat check.
Great venue for watching/listening to a band or show at a reasonable price. Can seat quite a few people yet still feels pretty intimate. They serve great drinks at reasonable prices.
Beautiful venue! We had our Christmas party there and it was very clean and organized. I didn’t like the fact that to go to the bathrooms you have steep stairs, so just be careful coming up and down.
I love attending events here. I grew up going to see Greek movies here in the early 70s & the Saturday matinees.it really is a very special place. I'm so happy it's still around.seen many concerts here.
Le plus beau théâtre des années 20 au Québec. Les peintures, sculptures, vitraux sont absolument magnifiques. Ils ont même conservé le rideau d'amiante coupe-feu du cinéma original. Une salle merveilleuse pour danser.
Lovely building! Efforts of the local community saved this building from disappearing into the unknown history. Preservation efforts are still ongoing. There is encouragement as heritage Montreal Mr.dinu and former conseillere fotopoulos are actively involved! There is hope. Recently a celebration took place Nov 2018. Congratulations to the organisers!
We had a stop here on our mile end walking tour and it was just such a cool place. The history here is very obvious and the attention to detail in the upkeep of it is something of a dying breed these days. I would love to be able to attend an event at this venue in the future as it seems like it would be a great time.
We went to Rialto theatre for a classic Iranian concert on Sunday. It was my first time in this place. The inside and outside are attractive, the decoration is nice but this place is not meant for these types of concerts. The scene is nice (Burlesque type) but the ground where the chairs are placed is flat. There's a bar inside.
As a visitor, this venue was really great. I saw a comedy + music festival here. The seats were comfortable and even from the side where I was, the view was pretty good.
