It was very good I just wish it wasn’t that small but service was amazing and it’s a nice resto

Located on Sherbrooke street in the commercial district of Westmount, Donato is an excellent Italian style resto with a very warm décor, classic menu options and solid service. Overall, the restaurant has a somber, subtle and quiet ambiance which makes it great for a quiet night for two. While we were there there were several larger group tables and we didn't notice until leaving.

As for the menu, all the classics are there including pastas, meats, fishes and pizzas. For our group we had Caesar Salad (good.nothing great, nothing bad), Fried Calamari (very good.meat was tender, not chewy and the batter was crispy), three different pasta dishes (Conchiglie Pomodoro, Spaghetti with Lobster and Rigatoni Bianco) all of which were excellent and tasty. For dessert we had the Tiramisu and the Chocolate Terrine (both of which were very good).

Service was always within reach and very friendly, with the two services delivered with little delay. Would certainly be coming back for a second visit. Enjoy!

I like this restaurant but I can’t give it a 5-star due to the squirrel portions for the price. Great flavors, service was above average and the place itself is beautifully decorated.

Super bon service, super bon drink. Et la bouffe est juste excellente. Le pain servis au début est vraiment bon. La salade cesar est un indispensable, fraiche et croquante. Les pates au lobster sont vraiment bonne et les rosé également

I had a Mother’s Day brunch here today! We were greeted by friendly and welcoming staff. They were attentive, intuitive and efficient. Every course was an absolute delight! Fresh, light and so savoury. I highly recommend this restaurant. The ambiance and decor are top notch. The entire staff was amazing.

Delicious! A bit pricey as other people have mentioned, but food and service was excellent. Will go back for sure.

Place is amazing upscale italian in westmount good meats drinks etcc vibe is great but way overpriced.truffle fries 16$ or we got a pizza and added mushrooms and olives to it 5$ for each extra topping so it was 10$ to add a few mushrooms and olives ridiculous.i like it but prices are highhhh

Went for a birthday dinner with my boyfriend. We had a salad, pasta, pizza and wine. Everything we ordered was exceptional! The service was also top. Would definitely go back for another special event.

Can't recommend this place enough! Yes, the food is incredibly expensive, but for special occasions, it is well worth it (I went for an anniversary dinner and was not disappointed).

Beautiful restaurant, nice vibe, but the food is very oily and pretty average. Service was good. Octopus was not fresh. Everything had way too much oil. Salad drenched with dressing. Deserts were very good.

Service was amazing! Living in Montreal am use to overpaying for food but wow this was ridiculous, around 750$ (2 bottles of wine) before tip and taxes for 4 people. I really don’t mind spending when the food is delicious but this was not the case very ordinary, i’ve had waaayyyy better Italian for less then half this price.

Prix très élevé et petites portions. Très salé et saumon beaucoup trop cuit, très graisseux avec un goût d’huile basse qualité (canola et non huile d’olive). Il faut s’en tenir aux pâtes et aux pizza, le reste ne présente pas une excellente valeur. Service est bien, décor très bien.

This place hits the mark. Food was exceptional. Service was on point. Sammy took care of us. And his attention to detail is above and beyond. Just went back to Donato's had the most delicious meal. Sammy took care of us again. It was exceptional. Nadia's service is like the frosting on top of the cake. She makes it all taste amazing. I appreciated the attention. She made us feel very well taken care of. I highly recommend you visit Donato's. And enjoy all the wonderful food and attention.

Good food but overpriced. $24 for a Margarita Pizza, come on! Let’s not talk about the pasta and drink prices.

The service and food quality is exceptional. We ordered the calamari, octopus, veal chop, salmon with a few veggies.

The cooking here is not your grandmother’s old methods handed down. This is top tier educated cooking. Pricing is on the higher side but you’re not overpaying for what you get.

Recommended if you enjoy high level culinary experiences.

The atmosphere doesn't need words. That's great
The servers are friendly and the restaurant is clean.
It was my second visit.
But unfortunately, the cheese pizza (with Gorgonzola cheese), which was very delicious on the first visit, disappeared.
I went back to eat it and it's a pity.

Excellent service. Superbe décor. Mon commentaire se base seulement sur la pizza margherita achetée en ce vendredi pour dîner. Rapport qualité/prix exagéré. Je m'attendais à une belle croûte gonflée tel les vraies pizza napolitaines. Je me suis retrouvée avec une pizza beaucoup plus petite que la boîte, très plate, sauce tomate et fromage pour $30.

Took my team out for dinner on the first opening and had a fantastic time. Ambiance is amazing and the staff is incredible. The food was over the top and I will definitely be coming back! Thank you Donato for coming to the table and introducing yourself.

Amazing atmosphere, the food is even better (the carrots are to die for) and the drinks are great. Staff is professional, and super attentive. Perfect for date night or group events!
