Amazing discovery. Service was amicable and efficient, good pace for different plates, prices are more than honest and the food is delicious. 100% recommend. Only downside its a little loud.

Rita stands out as a fantastic option for a laid-back dinner on the bustling Wellington Street in Verdun. The interior exudes a lively and inviting atmosphere. Upon arriving for our reserved dinner, we patiently waited for a few minutes before being seated. Host Sophie proved to be exceptionally helpful in guiding our menu choices and providing attentive service.

The cuisine surpassed expectations, showcasing an array of exquisite dishes crafted from seasonal, locally sourced ingredients such as asparagus, zucchini, cheese, and fish etc. Particularly noteworthy were the delectable pizzas, expertly prepared in a traditional Neapolitan wood-fired oven—a surefire win for any pizza enthusiast.

Positives abound in our experience: the service was exceptional, the food was impeccable, and the dynamic gathering of patrons added to the vibrant atmosphere. The restaurant's prime location further adds to its appeal.

Notably, there were no downsides to our experience. However, it's advisable to make reservations ahead of time because they are always busy.

In terms of any drawbacks, the establishment itself remains untarnished, but in line with other bustling spots in Montreal, parking can be a bit of a hassle. To mitigate this, I recommend arriving early to secure a nearby parking spot.

L’un des meilleurs services que j’ai reçu dans un restaurant, notre serveur était incroyable (lave la table entre chaque repas, nous n’avons jamais manqué de rien). Vous devez essayer le gâteau à l’huile d’olive, ce fut une belle découverte.

Très belle soirée au Rita, les pizzas étaient originales et excellentes (peut-être un peu trop sucrées, le cuisinier a eu la main lourde sur le miel) et les desserts simples mais bons. Effectivement un peu bruyant, mais nous sommes arrivées tôt donc nous avons quitté quand le bruit devenait excessif.

(Pourquoi est-ce que les restaurants de Montréal sont si bruyants? ça gâche parfois nos soirées comme clients, et je n'ose imaginer les acouphènes pour le staff en fin de service!)

What a fantastic overall experience. Very delicious food, homemade style recipes, a beautiful environment, and the most amazing part of the experience goes to the very passionate smiley natural waitress who provided excellent services with all perfect food recommendations "Isabelle" was indeed the cherry on the top of the cake! One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve experienced. Loved this place, keep it up!

The ambiance was great and the decoration is quite nice.
We ordered the meatballs to share as an appetizer, and they were good. Then we wanted to order each the tortellini, but there was a misunderstanding, and we got a plate to share. We didn't mind too much since it meant we could try one of their delicious pizzas. The tortellini were a special dish and honestly the veggies and soup weren't super flavourful, the tortellini were great. We ended up eating the Marinara pizza, which was amazing! I would definitely recommend coming here for their pizzas

Service et nourriture impeccable! Cannot believe we went to the same restaurant as the Spice Girls!

Nice, simple and somewhat minimalistic « Italian » themed restaurant. Cozy ambiance (not too loud - perfect for a date or to catch up with friends), good service and alright food. The « Spaghetti Al Limone » was very salty and missed a little something to make it wow & encourage me to come back to get it again. The Rita pizza was alright as well compared to other Margherita type pizzas. The seasonal vegetables were very good and different: they were very flavourful and uncommonly seasoned - would recommend getting them!

Rita est devenu l'un de mes restaurants préférés à Montréal. Les plats y sont tous excellent, les employés sont sympathique, la carte des vins offre une très bonne sélection. L'ambiance est décontracté. C'est un restaurant sans prétention qui saura satisfaire votre appétit et plaire à votre portefeuille, c'est un très bon rapport qualité prix compte tenu de la qualité des plats qui y sont servi. Faites vous plaisir et réservez une table dès maintenant, vos papilles vous remerciront.

The problem wasn’t that my reservation was cancelled, it was how we were greeted by the hostess that was very rude. I was calm the whole conversation but she kept being aggressive telling me that i didn’t answer the only 2 calls that were made. One in which my phone was off because i had an exam and the other was 10 minutes before the reservation and i didn’t answer so that’s on me. But please don’t come and tell me that messages or voicemails were left because i didn’t receive any.

The day of the reservation there was a snowstorm and we came all the way regardless. My friends and i would have appreciated if someone pointed to us nicely the fact that our reservation was cancelled instead of aggressively and blaming me repeatedly for the reason of the cancellation. We would have happily waited for another table to leave because we wanted to try the place. ‘Preuve en est’ we waited 30minutes at Street Monkeys a restaurant near you to get seated. So waiting to get a spot was never an issue, the only issue was the way we were treated. I didn’t say anything and kept my calm regardless of how i was being spoken to, but my friends who were hearing everything asked me to leave because they found the person speaking to me very rude rather than accommodating.

The review was for the professionalism of whoever spoke to us, not the food.

I have been to this restaurant may times and even ordered during the COVID-19 pandemic. Always great quality and great fun. One of the best restaurants in Verdun and top pick for Italian food in Montreal. If you cant decide between pasta or pizza order both!

Service très lent, chaises inconfortable, les pates Malfadini avec sauce au fromage bleu n'avait pas un soupson de fromage bleu, la Pizza Millenium Donni pate sous cuite et froide, éclairage médiocre, menu écrit trop petit. Nous étions très décus.

Pâte bien bonne, place assistés assez rapprochées les une des autres. Bon service. Stationnement pas facile. Parcometre sur la rue Wellington. Assez dispendieux. Je recommande.

Rita est un de ces trésors qu'on est fier d'avoir à Verdun. Le service est attentionné, l'ambiance est résolument cool, à l'image de la clientèle. Un match parfait pour le quartier. Leur four à bois en tuiles blanches est la pièce de résistance qui donne beaucoup de caractère à l'endroit.

Mais la véritable raison pour laquelle ce restaurant est tant apprécié, c'est évidemment la pizza. J'ai fait le tour et sans nommé de noms (hmm, hmm Fugazzi, Gemma, Bottega, #900.), Rita est de loin la meilleure.

Leurs cocktails sont aussi assez incroyables, beaucoup d'inventivité.

Les gens sont super sympathiques, genre, extrêmement attentionnés. Il n'y en a qu'un seul qui est désagréable et quand c'est lui qui vient nous servir, j'intercepte la serveuse qui est également hôtesse et je lui demande de changer de serveurs et elle nous prend en charge. D'ailleurs, c'est devenu une convention. On amène souvent des amis qui habitent d'autres quartiers, alors je n'ai pas le goût qu'ils aient une mauvaise expérience.

Je me demande pourquoi ce genre de serveur arrogant peut possiblement travailler dans la restauration, s'il n'aime pas les gens. Un très mauvais ambassadeur pour ce restaurant impeccable sur toute la ligne, à part lui. La qualité est constante, les desserts pourraient être une raison de fréquenter ce restaurant à eux seuls.

Si vous y aller, prenez la pizza et surtout pas les spéciaux. La pizza était correct, mais les cannelloni à l'agneau et orange ne goûtait que la Cayenne et un arrière goût d'orange. Le pire est de trouver un gros morceaux de pellicule plastique dans les cannelloni. Et malgré ce fait, il on juste refait, pas de rabait ou dessert offert alors que c'est une faute majeure. Grosse déception.

Wow. I was completely blown away by the great staff and amazing food. Book your table now it’s a really popular place. I can’t wait to go back and have everything I had on the menu again it’s a really authentic Italian restaurant that I can recommend you enough you really need to try for yourself and see how good it really is. Whether you’re sitting inside or outside the vibe is great and the food is even better

As always the food was delicious. The place was packed but the food arrived at a good pace. They changed the menu a bit and have a couple of new pizzas.

I had the burrata for starters. It was already opened when I got the plate. Nothing to affect the taste, but the presentation wasn't as polished as it usually is. For the main, I tried that Millenium Doni 2.0 and I was really impressed by the spicy honey.

I knocked one star off because we weren't offered wine after our starters so we had to wait a couple of minutes before we were able to start eating. We took a bottle of Prosecco first but by the time our main course arrived our glasses were all empty so it was clear to us that we would order something else to drink.

Went a few months ago but leaving this review now because I still remember how terrible the service was. We ordered pizza and waited for close to an hour for our food. Unless they ran out of dough, there’s no reason for pizza to take that long. When we inquired about the wait with our waiter, since we were running late to a show we had planned for afterwards by then, he was extremely rude although we asked nicely. He had also made condescending remarks when we asked about various ingredients we didn’t know about. We have never had to deal with attitude like this in North America.

In the end, the food was excellent, but the little time we had to enjoy it paired with the egregiously bad service ruined the experience for us.

Je suis allé plusieurs fois chez Rita et je n'ai jamais été déçu. La bouffe est délicieuse et le service exceptionnel. Bravo!

La bouffe était excellente - les olives maison, un gros Wow! Service sympa, pizza parfaite, belle place chaleureuse.

Excellent service! Accueillant et chaleureux. Les pâtes et les arancinis étaient bons, la pizza n'était pas géniale car trop poivrée et pas assez salé. Le restaurant nous a offert le dessert suite à notre commentaire sur la pizza.
On reviendra pour essayer les autres plats!

Super restaurent. Les pizzas et les pâtes etaient délicieuses. Tous les serveurs et serveuses sont grandement attentionnés et offre une service de qualité.

Ordered their Millennium Doni Pizza with Bucatini and I was blown away. Definitely my new go to spot for fresh Italian food! Their dishes really separates them from all the other restaurants in a good way. Hopefully their terrace opens up soon so I can have some of their incredible wine.

*mise-à-jour* Je n'avais vraiment pas apprécié mon expérience en mode "take out", mais j'y suis retournée la semaine dernière et j'ai retrouvé la qualité de Rita que j'avais, jadis, connue.
Chaque saveur était unique et le tout bien agencé!
Nous avons un peu moins apprécié nos cocktails mais les classiques étaient bien réussis.
Et le montant total! Quelle *agréable* surprise! On s'entendait à payer beaucoup plus pour tout ce que nous avions commandé!

Rapport qualité prix assez décevant. La place est belle, le service est bon, mais j’ai été déçue par les pizzas trop fines et peu généreuses à mon goût. Mettons que pour 45$ pour 1 pizza et 1 verre de vin, je ne m’attendais pas à ressortir la faim au ventre.

Ce fut ma deuxième expérience au Rita et à chaque fois, c’est un délice. Nous avons eu un super service de la part de Yannick vendredi soir, ce qui a ajouté à la réussite de notre souper d’anniversaire. La carte des vins est très intéressante et la qualité des mets à la hauteur. Je le recommande!

Incredible service and food. The wine list is impeccable with a great selection of wine by the glass or bottle. Absolutely to DIE for! The waiters name was Nicholas, who made our evening unforgettable. Will be back for sure!

This restaurant I will say has great tasting food along with very friendly and attentive staff which makes for a great experience. The issue that I have was with my most recent visit, We made a reservation for a group of 25 people, we were not all seated together, rather in 2 separate groups which wasn't the biggest deal and we made it work. What I couldn't accept, and this for a fixed price menu of 45$/person is the lack of food that was provided. There was no individual plates but rather everything was served family style, meaning 1 plate of meatballs, 1 salad, 2 wood oven pizzas and a small pasta plate for every 6-7 people sitting at the table. While it may sound like a lot of food, it really isn't. When desert came around, for 8 people we got 3 small plates consisting of 4 cookies, 3 slices of pear, a clementine and grapes. 3 slices of lemon cake for 18 people. I couldn't believe it and kept waiting to see if there would be more coming but nothing. Very disappointing

In my opinion for the location and the quantity of food it was not worth 45$ at all, had it been that amount of food for 4 guests or even 5 it would have been much better but overall, overpriced for what you get and not worth it, especially if you are looking to reserve for a large group.

J'ai adoré mon expérience. Très très bonnes pizza au four à bois. Les pâtes étaient tout aussi délicieuses. Excellent service. Belle carte des vins et cocktails, et quelques bons choix de bières de microbrasserie également.

J'ai goûté aux pâtes et elles étaient excellent et mon ami la pizza, qui a adoré aussi! Ce nouveau restaurant est bien situé. J'ai trouvé qu'il n'y avait pas assez d'espace entre chaque table, mais nous avons tout de même passé une belle soirée. Les employés sont souriants et accueillant.

Je suis venu dans les premières semaines après l'ouverture chez Rita, puis fin octobre 2019, entre temps ça a beaucoup progressé! La carte est beaucoup plus recherchée, c'est très fin. Mention spéciale aux olives fourrées et panées! Desserts sophistiqués, glace maison.

La carte des vin est petite, mais peu connu de notre serveuse, déception de notre vin, elle me dit,: Nature.de l’Espagne (une de mes régions préférées), comment dire.ha oui, un vin rouge, un peu pétillant, oui, surprenant, mais pas mauvais, mais, bon.

Petit resto, assez occupé et remplis!

Pour moi c’était une première, vu mon intolérance alimentaire qu’ils n’ont pas géré, pourtant assez simple ‘l’ail’.

I went this evening with a friend. Very good service and atmosphere. Pizza's were delish, nonna's pie so tasty. The meatballs were a little hard and too expensive for the size $6 each.but sauce was nice.

Great place with great food. Pizza is tasty, drinks are competently made. Super busy there on a Saturday night so consider making reservations. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because we were asked to move to another table so they could use ours to accomodate a larger group. We didn't mind and we were told we would get 'something special' at the end of our meal as a thank you for moving mid meal. That something special never happened.
