Closed? Out of business? Went there as per advertised business hours. Phone message claims they are open from noon to 8pm. Place is empty, dark and looks abandoned. WTH?

I think this restaurant made bankrupt because it’s seems like it’s abandoned but it was the best in Mtl now we go to poule mouillée

Classic place in Montreal for Portuguese chicken. Big portion with tasty chicken, could be less salty. Long wait line and their customer service could be better.

L'an passé j'étais amoureux de romados, littéralement, cette année c'est deception sur deception, le gout est aléatoire, les horaires idem. Aucun respect envers la clientèle malheureusement.

Places an order with doordash. Pickup line was mixed up with people waiting for orders in restaurant. While my order was already ready for a while. The worst part is that the poutine we have ordered have no chicken or chorizo. Why would I order a plain poutine at a Portuguese chicken restaurant. Paying extra for just a regular average poutine. More than disappointed. Also it doesn’t taste as good as a few years back. Not going back

Service un peu mal organisé les 3 fois sur 5 que j'y suis allé (pour la pâtisserie), les caissières sont sympathiques, cependant les fois que nous avons appelé pour des renseignements sur la quantité de produits qu'ils avaient, la personne était bête et nous semblions déranger plus qu'autre chose.

Leur nourriture est médiocre et manque d'amour. Les frites sont vieilles et le poulet est sec et pas goûteux. C'est meilleur chez Piri Piri.

Romados is THE original and classic place for Portuguese grillades! DELICIOUS and SO TASTY (sweet as well as savoury)!
Sometimes there are lines, however the service is fast and effective.
Also great prices!

I really don't get it. The environment in the place is horrible, smoky and really feels like it was designed only for takeouts, but they have a big area and very slow service. The actual chicken is so greasy that makes KFC sound like a healthy alternative. Salads, fries and the chicken are thrown in the container all mixed that they end up all with the same taste.
I don't understand why such a hype on this place at all. I mean, it is a junkie trash meal if you're into it, but it's not even close to a traditional portuguese meal. And for what it offers and the actual area it is more like a big take out area than a restaurant.

A tiramisu a week ago it was $2. - and a week later again ordered tiramisu $ 2.35 plus tax. Inconsistent pricing!
An expresso - served in a white foam cup! Time to review the service. Since the owner daughter was in charge it was a great place! Happy holidays! Subject of a review again in a short while!

Been in Montreal three years, and noticed that Romado's has three times increased its prices, decreased in portion, and declined in quality. It's at a low point now, not far from McDonald's quality. No integrity to its customers.

Fast service and delicious chicken. Lots of fries. The eating area tends to be messy but is suitable for a quick and delicious meal. They have desserts and bread for sale as well.

L'endroit à changer depuis un moment.les rénovations enlève un peu à la légende.j'aimais mieux avant mais encore très bon.

Oh man we love Romados. We just get the half chicken with fries. Which is great for one person. Spicy. Honestly if you are two people they give you soo many fries, that one person doesn't need to get fries. Place can be busy so down times are better. There's a park across the street. Amazing to-go summer spot. Canadian debit only. Americans bring cash.

This is a review just for the bakery and specifically the Portuguese egg tarts. We got there around 10: 30am and only the bakery was open, keep that in mind if you're looking for chicken too. Being disappointed, we grabbed some egg tarts and ate one on the spot, but they were cold. Wish they kept them warm or even room temp.

Poulet grillé au charbon de bois. On aime. Les frites et pâtisseries portugaises aussi. Gagnez du temps en commandant à l'avance. Parfait pour un lunch à emporter si vous habitez à proximité. Amenez vos contenants.sinon barquettes en polystyrene ou aluminum pour grosses quantités.

A good bargain for the portion of stuff you get and the price you pay. Their chicken was delicious, so was the rice and nazas (portuguese egg tarts). My favorite though, was the fries — sooo good! My only complaint is that the food is a bit salty — but it’s already a lot better than the typical Canadian food here.

The staff was friendly and patient, which I didn’t really expect for such a popular restaurant. I was lucky that I didn’t have to wait in line when I went on a Monday lunch (they usually have a long line in the evenings, I’ve heard).

I don’t know what they do but that chicken was the bomb! I would have lived to have more of this chicken. It was tender, juicy, flavorful and most of all cheap!

Rien à dire à part qu'il faut absolument y aller. Prix ridiculement bas, les frites super savoureuses, mais surtout le poulet fumé avec la sauce piri piri. Wow wow wow!

Great chicken for low price. You get demi poulet meal with fries and salad for 12 dollars. And two person can eat because is very large. Taste is really good. One of the better in MTL.
