Royal Tandori Quebec city( halal)

I ordered a food of $60 and the food was really tasteless. Never order chicken kadahi or brinjal bhaji. Naan was made with garlic powder. They didnt even gave us refund Now we r going to distribute the food to homeless. I swear this was my worst food experience in canada.

We went during the Christmas holidays for a dinner and the restaurant was packed. I loved their hospitality despite their rush. Initially they refused to provide the table due to rush but then as an exception they offered us a table and served the food even after 10: 00 pm. The food was amazing. Only drawback is The washroom could be a little cleaner.

Nourriture très correcte (le riz était parfait), les viandes en sauce un peu trop sucrées et mal dosées en épices, mais c'était globalement plutôt positif.

I wish I could give zero stars to this restaurant. From what angle they are selling indian food.
1st their cook are they are just experimenting with food. Never had a bad food in my whole life like this. This is the worst one. Never ever go to this place.
I would recommend to eat McDonald’s burger but don’t fall in trap for the Indian food in Quebec City.
I ordered naan which is 74 percent uncooked maida (floor). Chicken curry is salt less but fool of chilly. Dal tadka is just a yellow lentil with chilly flakes. Rice is just rice in oil, I had to garbage the whole food at the end and had to eat McDonald burgers for dinner at the last. Stay away and beware about this Indian food trap in Quebec City their food is just garbage. Be aware.be aware.

We just order for delivery and got our garlic naan without garlic on that
they just put garlic powder
even it look like pizza without toppings, cheese and sauce.

It was really awful experience I had. I went to the restaurant of the good rating but it was like a nightmare. I will not at all recommend to someone else nor will visit again. Talking about the food, the gravy was like water and tasted like just a tomato sauce.
The worst thing was done with me and my friends when we visited was that the restaurant had another table booked for 24 people and we wanted to order our last dish as we we're almost done for our dinner and the employee told that It would take 1 hour to make a dish.
So, by this it felt us that the restaurant manager was focusing more on big table for money and told us indirect no to give us food dish as it would take an hour to make.
Please, don't waste your money to try food at this restaurant. I would recommend different Indian Restaurant.

On a vu le serveur derrière le rideau de cuisine mettre le sac de commande sur le plancher pour ensuite mettre notre commande dedans.

Faites vous une faveurs et éviter se restaurant.

Malheureusement, même si la nourriture est bonne, le service est infiniment long. Et on dirait que les take-outs sont prioritaires, ce qui n'est guère agréable lorsqu'on a pris la peine de se déplacer au restaurant et qu'on doit patienter alors que les commandes pour emporter sortent sans arrêt.

We ordered chicken rogan josh, Chana masala, daal tadka and biryani. Biryani was delicious, rest was okay-okay.

Worst experience ever.ordered onion bhaji, paneer bhoona, garnic naans from uber eats. Onion bhaji was missing. Food was not even eatable. Naans were not garlic naans. Dont ever order from there.

Coming from SEAsia I know a thing or two about Indian cuisine... So I was really Royal Tandoori was able to whip up very authentic Indian food.

Don't be fooled by the surroundings of the restaurant, the moment you open the front door you are welcomed by a whiff of spices that immediately excites your senses bringing you to attention and anticipation.

Normally one would have biryani with curry or gravy as for Royal's chicken biryani simply have the rice on its own, chew on it slowly and suddenly a burst of flavors fills the mouth causing one's hand to quickly reach for another spoonful. Surprisingly the chicken is similarly filled with flavors, you see most of the time basmati and accompanying meats are cooked separately so the rice is shared with the different meats, this results in the meats and rice having unbalanced flavors. But not this one.

Both the beef and lamb are tender and flavourful and the level of spiciness is original, not watered down.

Ok so much so for the food, the restaurant looked rustic but is exceptionally clean and spacious so it's really comfortable.

Wife and I are really happy to have discovered this gem in Quebec City it's our first time visiting Canada.

I visited it yesterday with my family. We all had a delicious dinner there. If I compare their food, I would say there is a huge collection of Indian food and every food item is very tasty. Also, my family likes the atmosphere there.

My honest advise is to stay away from this place. Everything is bad - food quality, taste, ambience, cleanliness. The table where we sat was shabby. Interior is dilapilated and dirty. The place smelled bad. We tried butter chicken, dal tadka, naan. Butter chicken tasted pathetic. The chicken pieces were hard and rubbery. Chicken tasted stale. There was no tadka in dal. Naan was soggy. I ordered a coke but never got one. They forgot to give me the coke but did not forget to bill it. I had to remind them to remove it. I gave all of this honest feedback to the staff as well. They were fine with it. Did not offer any solution. One of the worst Indian restaurants I have visited in Canada.

Les morceaux de poulet étaient durs et caoutchouteux. Le poulet avait un goût rassis. Il n'y avait pas de tadka dans le dal. Naan était détrempé. J'ai commandé un coca mais je n'en ai jamais eu. Ils ont oublié de me donner le coca mais n'ont pas oublié de le facturer. J'ai dû leur rappeler de l'enlever. J'ai également donné tous ces commentaires honnêtes au personnel. Ils étaient d'accord avec ça. N'a proposé aucune solution. L'un des pires restaurants indiens que j'ai visités au Canada.)

Customer service is gud but food doesn’t really have any taste its more like for foreigners not desi ppl. They did claim they r halal. Naan and chicken pakora were gud. Everything else was very average. Oh and washroom was clean plus for dat.

This restaurant says they are closed at 2.00 pm. But we were turned back at 1.08 pm itself. I hate you guys! Please don’t irritate your customers!

I came to Quebec City from Toronto, so ordered from here.

Price vs quantity, quantity is less than we get in toronto for the same price.

Naan costs 3.75$ where as same naan in toronto costs 1.5 or max $2.

The restaurant says fine dine, but it’s congested inside, so i decided to do take away.

Also once you order and pay, you cant cancel order even after 5 seconds of payment, as the guy says there system do not support cancellation, and i asked him to gv me cash back, which he denied as well.

Overall avg taste, less quantity and expensive. Only advantage is that it was halal.

We had our dinner at Royal Tandoori. In vegetable pakora I couldn’t find any potatoes. It was just green cabbage and carrots with besan. Taste was ok. Their boonna chana was delicious. Love their chicken 65. It was full of flavours. But their lamb rogan josh was far away from the original recipe.
The server was super fast and kind. He was handling all tables by himself with no mistakes. Inspiring job skills

Never order from here. I had the worst experience ever as I ordered the food approx. 8: 15 pm and it wasn’t even ready after an hour as they told that it will be ready within 30 mins. We spent around $150 for our order. And when we ask they said they don’t know when it will be ready.
Really! Never order.

It’s halal but unfortunately the taste is too whitewashed. No salt no spice. If you like that kinda food then sure go ahead and enjoy. But if you like traditional taste of masala and spice then I wouldn’t recommend.

We came from Toronto. We visit couple places with family. My family was super hungry and we ordered couple items. Everyone enjoy a lot with food and their service. We ordered couple items. Everything was so good. Specially their naan was so good phenomenal. If I visit next time in Quebec I go this place for sure.

Not even near to north indian taste. No customer service. We asked for malai Kofta guys said to order optional instead. When food came pakora was not cooked well. Some food had lots of Turmeric and paneer Tikka came bright red definitely added artificial colors in it. Onion kulcha and garlic naan tasted same, no difference tasted like plain thick hard naan. Lots of glasses on table but no one showed up with water at all.

The smell here is so pungent, I couldn't stand ordering from here even for takeout. I saw the appetizers served to people sitting down and they looked terrible. I wouldn't come here until they can clean up the place.

They cannot handle more crowd. They took almost an hour to serve food. Only main course is available even at 7PM. Food taste is only average. When we can't enjoy the experience of having food, no food will taste good

We were a little skeptical about ordering Indian food in Quebec, but Royal Tandoori lived up to it's name. It indeed was food fit for Royalty. The food was amazing and was very reasonably portioned. We also ordered mango lassi which was exceptional! Keep up the good work Royal Tandoori. Will definitely visit you on our next visit to Quebec!

Went there for the first time. The guy told me there is no one to serve us! He was working alone. In a business hour like this i don’t know how only one person do the serving. He told me it’ll take one hour to serve food after we order. Highly disappointed!

Si je devais décrire le Royal Tandori, je le décrirais comme le meilleur restaurant indien de la ville de Québec. Ils ont un service client exceptionnel, tout est propre et la nourriture est encore une fois incroyable. Jamais de ma vie je n'ai eu un si bon goût dans un restaurant. Au début, j'avais peur en lisant toutes les critiques affreuses, mais celles sur lesquelles j'ai mis les pieds dans le restaurant m'ont étonné que ce restaurant devrait vraiment avoir un cinq étoiles, c'est incroyable! ! !? ‍️

Absolutely terrible customer service. My family and I visited at 8pm and the restaurant wasn't even at 50% capacity, but no one came to greet us or seat us. We waited for 15 mins IN LINE with delivery drivers to get their attention and someone finally seated us. We did not get water or menus. After spending ~30 mins in total without any service whatsoever we just left. Seems like they only care about takeout orders. Highly recommend going to another Indian restaurant if you can find one.

They have seating arrangements inside the restaurant as well as patio. The prices are ok compared to other indian restaurants. Food taste is not as it is supposed to be. Its modified to attract non spicy eating customers.

Le poulet au beurre ne goute absolument rien. D ailleur la sauce est très liquide on dirait de l'eau.
Le naan n'est pas cuit, y a des parties qui sont encore en pates fresh.
Boeuf est horrible aucune epices indienne.

This was a great dinner stop during our visit to Quebec City. Tried the Bryani, Butter chicken and chicken tikka masala which was the best out of all three. We asked for medium level spice and it was just done right. The girl who took the order told us upfront that it would take 30 minutes and it didn’t take any longer than that. The food seemed fresh and was well served.

The place itself is very dated and we were a bit skeptical but the food and overall experience did not disappoint us at all.

Regarding halal food - we asked them and they said they get their halal meat supplies from Montreal. I would definitely visit again and try some other things on their menu.

Went there for a take-out order, and I was amazed at how much food and flavour were packed into everything. I really loved the Tandoori chicken, and the rice wasn't bland at all with the spices, making this already great meal a delicious experience. I will definitely re-order again!

I took beef beriani and it’s like khichuri! It’s full with garam masala. I believe they don’t know what they r making. Even if anyone try to cook by watching YouTube can make it better then this. Just wastage of my $16.

I want to give negative stars but unfortunately that is not an option. We ordered 2 items and they got BOTH wrong. There were paneer cubes in Malai kofta, kofta didn’t taste like kofta and the overall taste was terrible. The other item was made super spicy when it was ordered mild. Also, the rotis were heated frozen rotis, can you believe this? ! When we called to ask about the order, they offered one item to be free next time. Not sure what made them think that we will ever go back there. Worst Indian food I had in the North America.

Hidden jam in Quebec city. Not for ambience lovers but excellent food quality for authentic Indian taste (please request for food to be prepared little spicy to enjoy Indian taste ;p). Read plenty of reviews and ended up trying this one and would surely recommend.

Frankly speaking - after reading the previous reviews - I was bit skeptical before ordering the food while in Quebec, but after having the food - can say - it was one of the best biriyani ever while I am on tours in Canada.
We ordered Lamb Biriyani, Rice and Chicken Kadai - typical orders I place if I am not sure about a restaurant. All of them were good - specially Lamb Biriyani was really very nicely crafted. Special thanks for the cook.

Awesome food! Very well prepared vegetarian food! Prices were more appropriate not expensive! We had a good time dining outside. Since it was closer to bus stop, few were smoking. Very good hospitality and service.

Quand vous avez fini, rendez-vous à la caisse quand vous êtes prêts à payer.

Le décor laisse à désirer, mais la nourriture est très bonne et traditionnelle.

The curry is very bad, chicken is like it’s so old.
I request you, if you have ever eaten Indian food, please don’t go there and spoil you taste buds.
The staff is good, but if the food is that bad m nothing can compensate that.
