I found the roofers that completed my roof to be unprofessional and rude, leaving debris behind in my yard including sharp bits, and then dismissing my complaint as unimportant.

We recently purchased a new home and the home inspector had flagged a long laundry list of work, we reached out to the Rydel team and they kindly looked through and helped target the best action items. His team showed up bright and early and had the work done in a heartbeat!

The entire team was amazing, meticulous, tidy and very polite. The quality of their work was as they promised which was very high quality.

Was at first very disappointed (site was poorly cleaned, a lot of plants were damaged and they themselves did not even report the fact that they broke the pavement), but Stephan acknowledged the situation and fixed it.

As a new homeowner putting a new roof on for the first time, we had no idea as to which roofing company we should go with. After speaking with six different companies, we noticed that many of the salespeople were badmouthing the competition, and Stefan (the owner of Rydel Roofing Montreal) was just a good, calm, confident West Island guy who delivered what he promised. He took the time to understand our budgetary needs and worked with us to find a solution. As for the rest of the crew, they were good humans, always said hi to our kids, were kind and approachable. I think the first positive indicator for us was how on recycling day they moved our bin back up the driveway once the truck had emptied it. It wasn't a big deal, but it just showed us that they cared about their customers.

Stefan was transparent, proactive, and responsive with us. We have an older roof that is built with barn wood instead of plywood and they spoke to us ahead of time, and addressed any issues it might cause in the installation (none in the end because they secured it all). We encountered some odd roof corners and design from the original roof, and they said, "We can do this or that. We would prefer to do this to ensure there aren't any issues". Most importantly, they educated us and gave us options and explained the why.

We had heard that roofing can be a messy undertaking, certainly when removing the original shingles with nails and debris found around your property for years to come. One of their helpers (JP) would walk around with a magnet on wheels picking up nails as well as any other debris. In fact, we have some neighbors who are very particular about their property, and I mentioned it to Stefan before the work started. Without having to ask he knocked on their door, introduced himself and reassured them that none of the debris would hurt their property and they'd cover their shrubs, which they did. They covered all our plants with tarps and even our neighbors came by after the job was done to say they were impressed by how clean they kept it.

In terms of timing and speed, we had some terrible rain in October-November and for the days when they couldn't work, Stefan would ensure that his lead roofer Tommy would come by and do some of the small work when the rain held to try to save on time.

I highly recommend Rydel Roofing Montreal for your roofing needs. We’ve had a lot of foot traffic walking by our house, commending us on the look of our roof. Honesty, transparency, trust, and a pleasure to have working on and around your house.

Stephen is very professional and knowledgeable about the products and he helped us decide what was best for us. We decided to go with the new Euroshield tiles (made of recycled rubber tire material) and has a life span of 50+ years and 30 year warranty and it is more affordable than a metal roof. We had excellent service with Stephen and the team and they were present at 7: 00 am and wouldn’t leave past 7: 00 pm to get the job done. I'm so happy that I choose Rydel Roofing for installing my new roof. I have never needed to have a roof replaced before and had no idea of what is involved and or pricing. Mr. Stefan Milosevic, came to my home and explained to me the different roofing products they have to offer with associated pricing estimates and he also encouraged me to entertain other roofers quotes. Absolutely no sales pressure from him and his prices compared to other roofers was more that fair. The day my new roof was installed, Stefan was at my home from start to completion and his team was fantastic. What an unbelievable experience with Rydel and the owner, Stefan! From inquiry phone call to picking up the last remaining pieces of scrap, this company was very professional and I could not be more thrilled with their work and the end product. I called several companies and Stefan was the only company that reached out to me the same day (within a couple hours) of leaving a message. He answered all questions and came to visit the house to address and provide me with different options for roofing which ended up being a one hour minimum meeting. He really took the time and wanted to leave ensuring I had no more outstanding questions and that I was happy and settled with the choice I made. The crew he also sent (Craig and company) were also great. They were there minutes before 7am and worked non stop until 6pm and beyond and the clean up at the end of every day was spectacular (I have a dog and that’s always a concern if any old nails fell off the roof). Stefan, the owner, was there every day of the project taking pictures and communicating with me. They even took the time to put a waterproof tarp over top of my roof when they knew there was a possibility that it would rain before they were able to complete it. If I ever have family or friends that are looking to get their roofs done and are questioning whether to go shingles or metal, although he also does shingles, I would highly recommend metal (in case you’re interested, I went with Coffee Brown colour) and to go with Rydel! I was extremely impressed with the Rydel team. Stefan was extremely knowledgeable and easy to understand, showing me pictures of the damage on my roof and the fixes. The two installers were very courteous and had decades of experience roofing. Also, the price was very fair. I highly recommend them.
