Très belle église, assez grande. Beaucoup de dorures, décoration rococo très founie. De magnifiques vitraux.

Beautiful. Stunning. Absolutely gorgeous architecture and design throughout. But the pews will kill you if you're sitting for too long.

The interior architecture of the church is amazing. The priest is very welcoming and friendly and approachable.

We went for a concert. The acoustics were superb and the atmosphere as a venue for a concert was excellent.

Really beautiful Church in platue. Church is open to all and mass is really beautiful and peaceful. Check the timings before visiting here cause it's not open 24x7. Saturday Sunday Mass happens in the morning hours. Really nice place to visit during Christmas or any other Cristian holidays.

Eglise relativement bien entretenue. J'ai été y voir deux concerts classiques: un enfer! Hautement inconfortable. Des toilettes suffisantes pour 1/5 de la capacité. Je n'y retournerai plus!

L'église Saint JB, rue Rachael, c'est vraiment très agréable, très accueillant, j'y ai plein de très bon souvenir

La mise en lumière de l'autel, du chœur, de l'abside et du déambulatoire est vibrante.

Pre-Covid, this was a great spot for concerts, with great acoustics. Just don't sit in the upper floor-it's stifling, even in winter.

Nous avons assisté à un concert candlelight. Le passeport vaccinal a été demandé. Toutes les regles sanitaires sont respectées et le concert etait magique. Très beau je recommande!

Ever since the Covid pandemic started, many of Montreal's churches have taken to closing their doors for a large part of the day. I was extremely happy to see a sign at the door of Saint-Jean-Baptiste announcing that it was open to the public. As imposing as the exterior architecture of the church is, it isn't at all indicative of its intricate interior. Since Montreal is a city of many churches, it's easy to just walk by one without checking how it looks inside. For Saint-Jean-Baptiste, that would be a big mistake.

Very nice and huge church. Deserves a visit for sure. Never had a chance to attend mass here though.

Troisième plus grand sanctuaire de Montréal, l'église Saint-Jean-Baptiste est un incontournable du patrimoine religieux québécois. L'architecture monumentale, une décoration riche et capiteuse, un orgue colossal en font un lieu de culte et de culture incomparable. La chapelle Saint-Louis, avec son caractère intimiste et son décor Louis XV, vaut à elle seule le détour.

A hidden beauty! The architecture of this church is gorgeous and the acoustics are phenomenal! A great venue for a Wedding ceremony or even a concert from all aspects! I would definitely recommend this venue!

Il est question ici de l'église Saint-Jean-Baptiste où j'ai assité à un "concert" le 16 mars 2018. Le quatuor Molinari accompagnait la chanteuse Coeur de pirate dans un spectacle d'une grande qualité. L'église, d'une architecture, datant de 1914 et pouvant contenir 2800 personnes, offre d'elle-même, un plaisir pour les yeux. La sonorité y est excellente et l'atmosphère définie par une clientèle hétérogène qui sembait beaucoup apprécier la soirée. Bref, tout l'ensemble contribuait à la réussite incontesté de ce nouveau concept pour Coeur de pirate.
