I was v excited to try out this local barbershop because of the great reviews but was sadly turned away immediately because “we don’t cut women’s hair”. I’m non-binary and was looking to get a men’s haircut (i already have floppy short hair) so skill/ability should not have been an issue. It’s really disappointing to see them prioritizing gender over the haircuts themselves.

Sophie cut off a chunk of hair which I didn't ask for. When I pointed it out to her, she said she followed my instructions which is false because the result didn't look like the picture I showed her and the fade that I asked for. And instead of owning up to her mistake she made a rude comment and told me to find another hairdresser.
Very disappointing

The best hair salon in town! My family has been coming to Sophie and her husband for three decades now. Their work is always of the highest quality. They are also wonderful human beings, generous-spirited and fun to talk to.

Very nice lady cut my son's hair. They only except cash, but there are lots of banks nearby if you forget!

I've been seeing them for 5 years, and I would never go anywhere else. Quality haircuts for a reasonable price. Also the owner and staff are sooo kind and wonderful.

This is a great neighborhood barber shop in Westmount. Sophie, Andrew and Irina are fantastic. I've been going for years, and they always take good care of me.

I had been going to Sophie years ago when she was at Jean Jean and followed her when she opened Salon Sophie. When I moved to the West Island travelling and finding parking on Sherbrooke in Westmount was frustrating so I found a corner barber in my town. I just returned to making the trip back to Salon Sophie as I missed the “family! ”

Sophie is the sweetest! She always remembers you and makes you feel at home. You can tell her what kind of haircut you’re going for and she will make it happen! Highly recommended!

No frills barber shop for young boys and men of all ages. The owners, a husband/wife couple, are skilled and work quickly. I've been getting my hair cut here for 20yrs and always leave satisfied!

Sophie and staff are always a pleasure to deal with. They listen attentively to your needs. Haircut is never a disappointment, nor that of your boy. They don't take appointments, so just show up and be patient. It's worth it. Wait time is normally reasonable and if not, they will let you know.
