Sammi & Soupe Dumpling - (Chinatown)

If i could give zero stars, I would! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL! I am not the first one to who this has happened! I ordered SHRIMP soup and SHRIMP dumplings. Repeated it 3 times and the waiter repeated it to me. When comes time to pay, I see they wrote PORK dumplings and soup. I tell the waiter they made a mistake and they tell me that this is what the served me. THEY THEN DID NOT EVEN APOLOGIZED AND TOLD ME THAT I HAD TO PAY THE PORK SOUP AND DUMPLING. I CANNOT EAT PORK! Had this been an innocent mistake, I would have forgotten about it. But I come to learn that 5 INDIVIDUAL PERSONS that I know who came on SEPERATE OCCASIONS have had this exact same experience. I think this was done on purpose and I can't believe they would disrespect their PAYING CUSTOMERS like this.

We come here in lunch time with my family we order pork and chive and fry curry beef everything is good the pork is juicy and fry beef is so good we are very enjoy here the watress is nice and serve is so good we will come back soon!

I’ve been here many times in the past and the dumplings at Sammi are to die for! Although it can get very busy and have long lines during the evenings, it’s totally worth it. The service is very quick also.

We love the atmosphere. You get a table really fast and the service is amazing. It's a nice place for lunch.

Unfortunately, for all its great reviews the service turned out to be absolutely horrible, we waited for 25 minutes and no one came to get our order.

Sammi Soupe dumplings is one of my most favourite dumplings spot. Must try is their sticky juicy Pork.

Malgré la longue file d'attente, nous avons eu un super service, rapide et courtois. Les dumplings végés sont délicieux et nous avons aussi adoré la salade de chou, les nouilles froides et les concombres en entrées!

Les prix sont vraiment raisonnables et les dumplings sont vraiment très bons. Les serveurs Kelly et Byron sont au top, intéressants, drôles et sympas! On aura passé une très bonne soirée, en grande partie grâce à eux. On recommande et on reviendra.

Première expérience dumplings (oui, j'ai manqué ça pendant beaucoup trop longtemps.) et c'était réussi.
On est allé deux fois chez Sammi, et on a adoré!
Pas toujours facile d'avoir une place et la climatisation était un peu trop forte la deuxième fois mais à part ça, rien à redire! Les plats sont vraiment excellents et l'ambiance de la salle plutôt agréable.

Pour moi un des meilleurs, si ce n'est le meilleur, Dumpling de Montréal. Les Dumpling y sont délicieux. J'aime beaucoup le petit bouillon/jus à l'intérieur dans ceux à la vapeur.

Cute dumpling spot with delicious dumplings and quick and friendly service. We had the pork soup dumplings, pork and chives fried dumplings, and the tofu vegetarian dumplings.

Both this restaurant and their location downtown are great.their dumplings are soo good. I go there at least once every 2 months or so.highly recommend despite the wait sometimes

Good value soup dumplings for a reasonable price. Not the best soup dumplings you'll ever have in your life but they will definitely do the trick when you're craving them. The restaurant was busy and we had to wait 30 minutes for a table, but once we sat down and ordered the food came really quickly. We also ordered some lan fried dumplings which I thought were just ok. Definitely order the soup dumplings when you visit.

Love the Hot and Sour Soup, the Cold Tofu with crispy chili oil and shrimp dumplings with peanut sauce! YUMMY!

There is a waitress, wears mask and I think glasses maybe, she's very sweet and helpful!

We will be back for sure!

The juicy ones (10 pcs portion) the wrapping are not as soft enough as it wasn't cook long enough.
Acceptable. Tasted ok,

The pan fried ones (15 pcs portion) we had pork & chive, could be more longer fried will be more crisper.
Ok enough.
Tasted good, crispiness can be improved.

Overall just ok
I think people are overrated food here

This is the place to visit if you love Xiao Long Bao! It is as good as the ones you can get in Shanghai.

Perfect soup dumplings, well worth the wait in line. Had the juicy pork and the pork & crab, both were incredible. The hot and sour soup is also delicious. Will visit again soon!

Good food but service and time waiting for the food is HORRIBLE! This is my 4th time here, it’s always the same, they look more preoccupied with the Uber eats order then customer service. Anyways another client was so mad at the same time as us.

Everything on the menu is so delicious and the staff is very friendly!
Tables are barely far enough apart for Covid safety, but otherwise all is perfect.

My favourite place for soup dumpling! The wait isn't too long and the waitress is adorable every time we come. Super contagious smile:)

A popular restaurant for soup dumplings and fried dumplings.

There was about a 25 minute wait for food, I believe because the food was made to order. The servers were friendly even though it was busy.

The soup dumplings were good although I'd prefer with thinner wrapper and more soup.

Their dumplings and soups are very delicious and the price is also perfect. I want to recommend to you this place.

A bit long to wait for ordering, probably lack of staffs. Anyway, the dumping in general are good but not great. There are missing red vinegar and ginger for dumplings seasoning. The hot and sour soups are not original IMO.

Manger sur place est vraiment agréable! Les xiaolongbao sont tout chauds! Je recommande le agneau coriandre (xiaolongbao). La soupe wonton est bonne aussi! Plus authentique que bien d'autres places:)

C'est mon nouveau restaurant de dumplings favori dans le quartier chinois. Je n'habite pas très loin donc je les ai tous essayés! Par contre, le mot se passe et c'est très achalandé (le restaurant est petit, peu de places assises). Les dumplings à la soupe sont excellents, bien refermés la grande majorité ont plein de bouillon à l'intérieur (chez les concurrents certains dumplings percés ont perdu leur jus au moment de les déguster). Les dumplings frits sont bons également ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas chez les restaurants dont les soup dumplings sont la spécialité. Je préfère une carte courte à trop d'options mal exécutés. Le gros bémol étant le nombre de places et le service. Il n'y a pas assez de personnel sur le plancher donc le service est lent même pour avoir de l'eau et on a oublié une de nos commandes de dumplings jusqu'à ce qu'on rappelle que nous avions commandé une 3e sorte. À essayer si vous voyez que le restaurant n'est pas trop plein ou à commander à l'avance pour déguster quelque part à l'extérieur.

Came here for lunch on a Sunday and it wasn’t too busy. Our server was really nice; her positive energy made the dining experience even better! We got the juicy pork and pork/seafood mix (my fav) dumplings and they took about 25 minutes to arrive. Dumplings were very juicy and yummy. Overall, excellent price, portions, and taste.we left full:)

Juicy dumplings! The fried ones have a crispy bottom? The peanut butter sauce doesn’t leave a dry feel when you eat it.

The soup dumpling are the best in town, I was impressed because it ressemble a lot to Shanghai dim sum Ding Tai Fung in Toronto, I was looking for that same place in Montreal

Xiao long baos were really delicious and soupy, the only down side is they don't give out shredded ginger to go with the dipping sauce. I tried asking for some but the server kind of scoffed at me saying that the only condiments available are the ones at the table. Fiiiiine lol, good thing the food is good.

Order the cucumber side dish, it's crunchy and refreshing!
