Decoration is not the best but the food is marvellous. I tried the meat grill that comes with the naan and soda, all the meats were well seasoned and cooked and the chicken was juicy. Also, we tried the mango lassi and it was one of the best drinks I’ve ever tried. I would go back again
The food is delicious, it has a great flavor and the portions are generous, the service is very good and they are friendly, they let you decide ahead of time and help you choose a dish and its accessories.
I bought haleem taste less fish and chips worst i dont know what they did to fish cheap and taste less most of curris no spicy and naan after 2 min get very hard i dont know wats wrong with them price is high and low quality food
Worst halwa poori ever, no salt in chana gravy, no sugar in halwa, one star because the pori was fresh but full of oil, i will never ever recommended sana restaurant to anyone.
It was a group order! Honestly the food was DELICIOUS! 10/10 I’m very pleased with everything expect that they aren’t very generous on the butter chicken. It was 14.99$ plus tax, no rice included, and a small container. But other than that, I strongly recommend it. The garlic naan is SOOOOOO GOOD!
First time visiting this restaurant and and I highly recommend everyone gives them a try! We had chicken biryani, Nihari, Lamb Qorma and Daal. The food tasted amazing and it filled us up. The owner showed amazing hospitability and kindness, which made this visit very memorable.
I came all the way from Ottawa and this was my first time visiting this restaurant. I can say for a fact that I am not disappointed! The food there was amazing and their kindness and service was top-notch. We tried their Nihari, Chicken Biryani, Lamb Quorma and Daal. The food was very well prepared and I believe that everyone must try them out!
We got samosas few days ago and they were the worst ones I ever got. They were smelly, warmed in microwave and just rotten. I recommend when you buy check it infront of them and then pay.
Con: -j’appelle pour commander et pick up on me dit 20min.
I dont know what’s happened to this place but we went after a few years and it was shockingly bad. The place looks run down from outside; equally run down on the inside; the staff was loud, no smiles and caught up in their own life/gossip. But the icing on the cake was the horrific state of the washroom. Why have washrooms like this been normalized in desi restaurants? Sickening, the state of the washroom. What is one to expect of the way food is stored or prepared?
After waiting for 30 minutes. The full order came all in one's. And guess what it was cold. No taste at all. When it comes to pay the say next time the will do there best. Hello they think we'll come back. Bad place to go for Pakistani restaurant.
Picked up breakfast this saturday morning. The girl working at cash charged me more than usual, removed naans in front of me by saying she put extra. I reached home and found that she just gave me 1 naan.
I have ordered from this restaurant these samosas to fulfill my samosa cravings. I called before taking them to confirm if they have fresh samosas or not and the girl said yes they have fresh and good. After reaching the restaurant for pickup I waited 15-20mins and they gave us stale microwave samosas. And with name of chutney they gave us the curd. It was horrible combination it's not a chaat samosa there is always a different chutney served with samosas in all Indian restaurant they gave us curd as it's also you can see in pictures. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We ordered a delicious Chicken Biryani, the portions are huge and prices affordable. It was my first time eating here and I loved it, super recommended!
My favourite Pakistani resto in Montreal. Never miss it, when in town. Yes, it’s not the cleanest. But if there is a better Pakistani restaurant with more authentic flavours in Montreal, let me know. I always enjoy my visit here.
Food taste is very good and fresh. Cleanliness is an issue. May be take away cud be better. Chicken karahi was actually a regular chicken salan, though tasted good. Chicken pakora with fries was very good, masala on fries was good as well. Fresh crispy naan.
We went to get chai only. The staff didn't serve it because it would take too long to make. We went to Bombay Mahal instead, just a few mins away. Great chai there!
I ordered Naans from Sana. They don't make them there. They bought the ready made pita kind of breads and just heated them. I can buy them from IGA or Walmart for cheaper. Worst place to go for Naans. I felt helpless on opening the parcel while I was damn hungry.
Update: gave it a second chance, way better after they made some changes. I will be back.
Once this restaurant was nice and clean, serving good food, but recently I've visited and decided I will never return to this place again, smell very bad, looks very dirty, I got a seat near toilet, very stinky, food was horrible, service was very bad. I don't know how still people sitting and eating in this place.according to me they deserve no star.
We were guests in one of my friends house who lives in Jarry. Beacause we were full we ordered 4 kabab rolls. The waiter said "just kabab rolls! " in a very weird and sarcastic manner. Anyways we expected kabab rolls to be good. But trust me it was nothing but a little peice of beef kabab loosely wraped in a cold hard naan with some thick slices of tomatoes, onions and cucumbers. The roll was unwrapped as soon as the first bite. We were able to eat very less so packed almost half of it for home. We also ordered for pepsi but the waiter did not get it. On coming to know this later the manager was very kind enough to offer us pepsi for free but it was not needed then because we were done eating. The manager was really very kind and compassionate. But the waiter was really very weird. I am writing this review so that you really improve the kabab rolls because $5 shwarmas are way better off.
The worst restaurnt on jarry street.the service is poor, the food is tasteless. The waiters dont know nothing even how to talk to customers or serve the food.there was no quality in the food.maybe the cooks even dont know how to cook.no one is experienced in this restaurent.very bad experience. I will never recommend anyone to waste his time and money.
If u r expecting only delicious & tasty food with low price & friendly staff then u must try this resturant!
Because this place is not up to mark for clean & big washroom, setting area & services on busy timings.
Taste & quantity is no doubt, is the best among desi Pakistani or Indian restaurants.platter, butter chicken, kebab masala, nihari (fresh*) sikkh kebab, gajjar halwa & kheer r t best w.r. T my taste & experience, Overall this resturant can provide u with maximum best variety of meals as compared to any other desi resturant, but with compromised situation of washroom & cleaning issue.
Yesterday I ordered lamb and chicken biryani for my mom and me. Usually I order from Sana downtown and no issue. But yesterday I was at my mom’s and had to order from Sana on Jarry, and not doing that again! Both biryani smelled rotten, especially the lamb biryani, it smelled, my mom couldn’t eat, she had guest over and said the same thing, and oh barely had any lamb in it! Really disappointed! This is coming from people who knows how their Biryani should smell and taste! Please, don’t serve old food, we order because we trust in your service, don’t let that down! Could have had food poisoning because of that! Just so disappointed! The Haleem I ordered was good, the naan was doughy and but soggy, and the gulab jamun was good. Please guys, update your food service, follow standard food safety please!
Best Pakistani and Indian restaurant in town. Thanks to Mr. Irfan for all what he is doing to satisfy a customer. My favourite place always.must try it. Especially if you order Nihari or shrimps biryani, Try it NOWWWWWW
This place has the best butter chicken in the world if you are ever near this area I advise you to try this restaurant you will never regret it and you come back again just like how I do customer service is perfect food is always well done and prepared and never rushed has authentic taste That words cannot describe everything is made fresh I never knew from the day before one of the best restaurants Montreal has
Dont wanna give any stars but, Gave one star because have no choice. In the salade I found the cucumber with the plastic while im feeding my daughter. Plus that when i called they just said throw it on the garbage without even apologizing
Ordered online, got worst food i have ever ate in Montreal up to today. Stuffing inside samosa was stinking. They dont bake their own bread, it was from a grocery store which we buy from frozen department. Minus stars to you guys.
Oh boy where do i start? First of all there's no hostess (people that greet you and help get settled), secondly, the cashiers have the tendency to "accidentally" charge you more money that can sometimes slip under the radar. 3rd, they take forever the come take your order and even more to arrive with the APPETIZERS and so you waste 45 mins to an hour watching people eat around you. 4th, there's a lack of quality control even in take outs. The reason why there's one star is because that one star is for the chana samosa. I used to come come to this place to say that this wasn't a one time situation.i don't go anymore.
Haleem, naan and biryani taste really good. Customer service is nice too however they could work a bit on creating a good ambiance by maybe renovating the place. Really tiny washrooms too.
Restaurant is soo dirty and I think they don’t wear hair net in the kitchen I went last month and found hair in one of our dish and second time my sister order food from uber eats she also found hair in the food. They r not professional at all.
