The hotel is in a decent location near the metro. The room we had looked like the photos. Pool was nice. If the staff was more kind I'd call it 4 stars but they chose their dignity over our concern.

One morning while grabbing breakfast, we decided to go for a Waffle. There was a kind gentleman working the machine it seemed, so we asked "hi are you controlling this machine? " to which he kindly said yes, and to sit down until it's ready in 12 minutes (in a queue, he was bringing them to people's tables). However, he soon disappeared, and many people were just helping themselves to the machine, unaware of the virtual queue. So we stopped eating and physically queued. Eventually the gentleman returned, but ignored the machine to which we assumed was a miscommunication. But the way that man was speaking to the customer in front of us was extremely awkward. The guest was asking simple questions to ensure he didn't get electrocuted, etc, while using the machine. The gentleman kept saying "oh you should know how to do this", and refusing the help the poor dude. There were no full instructions for the machine and the doorman/gentleman was so so rude to this man that his girl was visibly anxious and on the verge of crying over this man's attitude.

The next morning, the doorman for the breakfast was trying the same attitude out on me. Same lack of information, and him seemingly being angry at us for not already knowing. We decided it would be good to pass along the information along to the main desk. They were just gaslighting us - saying he is their best employee (I don't care. Maybe he's having an off day) and that we are too worked up over "just waffles", when the issue is the doormans unacceptable treatment of guests and the help desks ignoring and gaslighting our concern. My fiance was no more upset than anyone else who dealt with this man. She was even trying to make me appear like the crazy as evident in the video. They know it is a problem because other guests were leaving early because of the staffs attitude, so please hear your customers concerns in the future and do not make fun of people for crying due to your staffs treatment and mental health especially when it's a known issue.

Would not feel very comfortable come back just because of this one issue. I work as a manager and business owner - it is so easy to make people feel heard. I've dealt with every problem under the sun and did it with a smile. Even if I knew that the issue was the customer, I would deescalate and make them feel heard. But this treatment was uncalled for, I just wanted to peacefully resolve the situation.

Stayed on new years day and after driving for 12 hours we encountered a hiccup at check-in due to miscommunication at the time of reservation. Thankfully the representative at the desk (Rento) had exceptional professionalism and customer service resolving the miscommunication almost immediately. Would highly recommend this hotel for its customer service and clean rooms. Also everyone was very friendly to English speaking people.

The only reason I gave location a four is because there is major construction on nearby streets making it difficult to access the hotel. Also I would like to note construction did not disrupt our stay in any way in regards to noise.

Hôtel idéal pour séjour d'affaires et touristiques. A proximité de la bouche de Métro. Idéal pour visiter Montréal. Pas besoin de votre voiture. Propre, service # 1, chambre et accessoires parfaites.

Mis à part la proximité de l’hôtel avec le métro de Longueuil, je ne peux trouver d’autres points positifs. La douche n’était pas propre du tout (voir photos) et il y avait de courts cheveux ou poils sur la céramique et sur le plancher… c’est un must d’offrir une salle de bain propre à ses clients. Le "buffet" du déjeuner continental est extrêmement décevant. Il n’y avait plus de pain, ni de fruits, les minis bagels sont secs, et le tout pour 15$. Il est annoncé partout que la cuisine du resto est ouverte jusqu’à 21h, ce ne l’était pas de la journée. Nous avions planifier de souper au restaurant mais avons dû changer de plan à 19h. Je désirais prolonger mon séjour d’une journée mais suite à tout ça, surtout le manque de propreté, j’ai booké un autre hôtel. Malheureusement je n’y retournerai plus.

Friendly staff, easy check in process and close to Olde Montreal if you drive. An easy 15min drive to Olde Montreal and the port. We had a great view of the river biodome and Olympic hotel.

Not the youngest hotel and the heat/ac unit was noisy but the location is great as you're across the street from the subway that can take you anywhere in Montreal. Request a high floor if you want to enjoy the views.

Loved our stay at this hotel with my family. Very efficient staff and central location. Enjoyed the view from our room, too. Upscale and comfy!

L'emplacement est tout simplement parfait, situé juste a côté du terminus/métro Longueuil et de l'autoroute 20. Les chambres sont propres, climatisées, modernes et bien adaptées, que vous soyez seul, à deux ou quatre personnes. Le service est professionnel, courtois et sympathique.

Le stationnement est très pratique pour les véhicules à remorque. La piscine est très intéressante après une journée intense, et l'hôtel possède aussi un centre de conditionnement physique.

I like the Sandman a lot. The only issue I have and it's a minor one is that I preffered breakfast at the old restaurant to the "Continental" at the new one.

Gave one bath towel for a room with two queen beds. Worst breakfast buffet I have ever seen. Especially for the money. I have seen better free breakfast at hotels.
Easy parking, and easy commute to the city via subway or bus.

Starting from my checking in to my checking out, ALL of my experiences at the Sandman Hotel and ALL of the staff members were EXEMPLARY!

BED BUGS. Stay Away.
I am normally not one to write reviews but the complete lack of customer service at this location left me with no choice. Waking up with 4 brightly colored and extremely itchy bites on my left arm after the first night left me very concerned, but the three more the day after along my hand prompted me to switch rooms immediately. However, the staff at the front desk had no sense of urgency in moving me and were skeptical about my claims. An old large blonde woman who claimed to be the manager raised her eyebrows at me after showing her my bites asking if I was sure I had been bitten at the hotel and not elsewhere. As if I were so incompetent that knowing when I had been bitten was such a difficult task. I did some research and read that I needed to wash & dry all of my clothes and luggage and seal them in bags to suffocate any bugs. Because it was a business trip I was forced to purchase new clothes in the interim. The hotel refused to reimburse me for the clothes I had to buy and also refused to issue a full and or partial refund for the stay itself. I did not manage to sleep the entire stay due to the fear of getting bitten again along with the relentless itching that came from the bites themselves. The management, including the GM- an even larger slow man, provided little to no comfort despite us being a corporate client and claimed to have no responsibility to accommodate me during my stay. So, in an effort to save on the $112 I asked for as a refund for the clothes I needed to purchase, Sandman has now lost out on our future business as a client. I only hope that this review may help others steer clear of this ridiculous excuse of an establishment.

Sûrement l'hôtel la mieux situé à proximité de Montréal. Collé au métro et au pont Jacques-Cartier. Les chambres sont propres. Le resto-bar rénové est superbe. Avec un excellent service, quoi demander de plus.

George at the front desk got us into our room quickly and he was very courteous.
Others attending the front desk provided very helpful information with the metro and restaurant ideas.
Once again Charles at the front desk checked us out quickly on Monday for our cab to the airport.

The front office staff Rachel and manager were extremely helpful and considerate to correct a reservation misunderstanding. Their special attention and care to resolve the issue fairly even though the hotel was extremely busy for Formula 1 Grand Prix is a true example of Customer Care in Hospitality Service.

Conveniently located just outside the exit to the Metro, Georges welcomed us at checkin with a smile and answered all our questions as first time visitors to Montreal. He happily upgraded us to the 12th floor saying it would be a better view of his amazing city. We are enjoying our stay already. Thank you Sandman and Georges!

Can’t beat the location for the Grand Prix weekend! Metro stop a minute walk away and it tends to be the opposite direction of the crowds! The hotel was clean, service was great. Would definitely come back.

J'étais de passage pour un tournoi de basket. Le resto attaché était du moins médiocre. Il te charge 15.99$ pour le déjeuner à ce prix là. Crêpes et pain doré froid et si tu veux chaud tu dois mettre au micro onde WOW. Ensuite, t'a même pas fini ton assiette qui vienne enlever la vaiselle directement dans tes mains. À mon avis est ce que je peux prendre mon café sans qu'on rentre dans ma bulle. Je me suis levé pour aller me servir autre chose et la serveuse avait pris mon cellulaire et mon portefeuille, cependant elle mentionne Oh désolé, je croyais que vous avez quitté. Ben oui je mesure 6' pied avec un gilet rouge qui est proche de la couleur d'un cône de contruction. Hônnetement, j'aurais dû aller au terminus au Tim pour en avoir plus pour mon argent. Considérer de changer votre méthode ou bien ce que vous offrez pour ce prix là.

Zero tolerance on check in time. Located beside busy traffic area. Very loud at most of the time.
