Second Cup

They're short staffed so service is slow and dishes and cups pile up on tables. Looks gross. This place needs at least 2 more people to run better. Especially when things become fully open on March 14th.

Really nice coffee spot, great service and very friendly staff. Nice menu to choose from and they’re also fast. However, their restroom facilities were horrendous (dirty, filthy, paper dispenser out of paper, stinky, gross)

I went there today to drink a coffee. I was waiting and waiting for my order, it never came. They completely forgot my order. Terrible customer service. Don't go to this place. They don't care about customers.

C'est pas la place pour y aller si vous avez besoin du Wifi, vous allez perdre un temps fou à essayer de vous brancher, et ça fonctionne une fois sur 5! Pas la première fois que cela m'arrive! Le café n'est pas mauvais!

Un bon endroit pour étudier ou travailler avec un ami au centre-ville.
Le breuvage, malheureusement n’est pas satisfaisant. Plus de moitié est glace.

The service was very friendly, but why in the world there isn't enough personnel? Only one person to work the cash register and to make the drinks. Not ok

Good drinks, cashier seemed new and a bit overwhelmed, but she hung in there and the drinks were good.

Missing this where I am from but one staff was definitely new but her coworkers helped her out and drinks turned out yummy!

It was nice experience at second cup i love them because i came first time here with my boyfriend they do their best bit i really like flowers and stuff there for decoration

I like their coffee and blueberry muffins, but the rest are not something that I can recommend.

The employees are really nice. The service is sometimes slow and mobile order is either not working or they forget they offer this service.

The Hot Chocolate was Life. The Barista with her Chelsea Haircut and LOVING SERVICE WAS EVERYTHING

Walked in once again batch 49 was not ready it was cold so why advertise it if you can't get it hot. I asked for a bagel. There was no bagels.seriously? Your a coffee shop.
My second review now at this second cup. Coffee in morning when I go before work is Luke warm nevee hot.come on management or new owners.some people still work downtown all the places around are closed.you need to step up.it's annoying now

I find the coffee here just okay, nothing amazing. But I love the decor and I think this will be a great place to visit once we are allowed to sit or study inside.

Poor poor management the store is ran by a a couple of very young teenagers that are too young to be blamed for the dirty store and poor customer service, and no bathrooms available

The store is packed and they still refuse to open the upstairs area, some old lady just coughed her lungs out and we are living a pandemic

At the midst of the Covid pandemic and they still didn't want to open the upper floor to accommodate more people and allowable better social distancing. I was sitting there and working on my stuff, with people touching my shoulders while going to order coffee. Totally unacceptable. They're trying to cut on costs by avoiding to open the upper part and therefore not have someone clean it up. Oh and bathrooms are closed. Definitely not putting my money there anymore.

It’s not because it’s “covid rules” that you can’t put a little music/ambiance in the place. Orherwise, love this location!

J avais pris un gateau au chocolat, il avait un arrière gout tellement bizarre que j ai pas pu le finir je l ai jeté a la poubelle (un gout horrible on dirait qu il est resté si longtemps au frigidaire qu on peut meme le gouter!)

C'est une belle place pour aller faire une pause café. Bon choix de desserts. MAIS! Les toilettes sont dégueulasse Je me demande s'ils respectent les normes de propreté de restauration.

The chairs in this place make an awful noise when they are moved around. Like a blackboard being scratched. Not the cleanest place Ive been to either. Homeless vagrants are allowed by staff to enter and bother patrons for change and the staff do nothing.

I like this location, it has lots of food options and the wait is never long as well as tons of seating (two floors)

The staff has never messed up my order (I do order the same thing every time though) and they always smile when I visit.

Great new design but 2nd Cup coffee is simply horrible. It just taste like burnt ashes. Even Tim Hortons or McDonald's taste better. Pastry are on par with other coffee shop, who are just as horrible.
Better get your coffee at a pastry or bakery, they usually sell good coffee.

Not something extraordinary. But this place remains open during Christmas and new years eve. It has saved life twice from the cold Montreal winter.

The service we received today was poor, cleanliness of ustensils and of the coffee counter is to be discussed.

Good hot chocolate and tons of space but the wifi was pretty spotty so it wasn't great for doing work.

Pretty deplorable Latte that tastes like coffee flavoured water. It's chain coffee. Support your local cafes instead and get a coffee which is made by a qualified barrister who knows and loves coffee. Won't return.

Les gâteaux sont super bons! Surtout celui aux carottes, Mais le service est terrible, très long, les machines à café sont souvent hors service. Aussi, le café est souvent sale, difficile de trouver une table propre.

Service is fine, employees are cordial. My critic is to the slow service and the lines, as well as the numerous times my order was wrong (either done wrong or the wrong coffee altogether) yet someone argued back with me instead of just remaking the coffee.they also very often put regular milk even though I always order a substitute, which isn't cool because 1) you pay an extra fee for that substitute, almost a dollar 2) many of people cannot have dairy or don't want to 3) it's not what I ordered. So I have to be very clear when I do order here so I don't have to come back. Wish they would just pay more attention.

Decent coffee (medium roast) and reasonable prices. Service was good. No complaints - wasn't amazing, but wasn't bad either.

Went in to redeem a free coffee offered. The cashier did not ask me if I wanted anything else with my order (which I did want a pastry). I asked for a cup of water as well. They ended up giving me my water in a porcelaine cup.its great that they gave me water in a porcelaine cup but I was on the go. Three baristas circled around to tell me it's 75cents as if I worked there and "should know". The experience at this second Cup was negative. I will not be going back.

Second cup à perdu son charme et son attrait, c'est sale et il y a seulement une toilette de disponible et il manque de personnel et le service est long.

Je viens 3 à 4 fois par semaine sur Stanley et depuis quelques jours déjà votre mixer à boissons ne mixe plus bien les graines entières restent dures. Pour un smoothie à 5$ je paye un dentiste à 250$ pour une inflammation au gencive!
Les deux portes automatiques ne fonctionnent plus aussi et le service n’est pas au top les employés manquent d’empathie!

Émile, le gars blond qui serve, a une attitude hautaine envers les clients. Il m'a tourné le dos quand je lui parlais et m'a complètement ignoré. C'est sur et certain qu'il n'est pas fait pour le service à la clientèle. Je vais aller chercher mon café à Starbucks dorénavant.
