My go too coffee shop downtown. I usually always get the same thing, but this time they kinda messed up my drink. I’m pretty sure the girl who made it was new cause it tasted like straight oat milk and usually it doesn’t
Other than that friendly staff & very polite. Good customer service. It’s a great place to study, always full of people and the music isn’t too loud.
I only order americano here, but they do it very well. The ratio of espresso to water is perfect for a rich cup. I also enjoy that they use a proper espresso machine versus an industrial one like Starbucks which is automated. Lots of seating and open atmosphere. Study hub for the most part. Concordia wifi reaches inside the cafe for students. Ask for key to access washroom. Staff were kind, especially the man at the counter I see often.
I am currently preparing for an exam, and I've been going around looking for a place where I could work, but also enjoy my work sessions. Since I found this place, I couldn't change it. The quality of service is great, I am always met with a smile, and the ambiance is calm and cozy. It's just perfect for me. I tried almost all the sandwiches, and they're all good. And the coffee tastes best, it's my favorite in the neighborhood. (Probably because the beans are well roasted, which gives a rich and savory taste.)

I regularly come here to study. It gives me concentrating atmosphere and they smile when I come and buy coffee the day starts good️. I stay for good enough time. My time here starts with a cup of Americano and then try loaf at times cheese cake too. Overall good place for me
The Cheesecake was disgusting. Looked like it's been in their fridge since the dawn of time. When I asked them about it they all starting laughing. There were employees working that were on their phones sitting in the customer seating area that were playing with the ingredients intended for customers. Felt like more like a daycare than a coffee chain. I won't be going back.
Not sure what happened - seemed like it was only a year or two ago that the facade of this building was renovated, but now the outside looks like it really needs a cleaning.
Came in because it has a nice view of the streets. Ordered a Carmel coffee drink which tastes quite good, if a bit sugary. Service is decent. Place did seem a bit dirty though (floor, windows, door) and there was faint smell which I tried hard to ignore. Otherwise, this is like being in a greenhouse in the middle of the city – great people-watching on a nice sunny day.
Chairs also seem jumbo-sized – clunky to move around to get in / out of the seating, at least where I was.
I really wish they would clean it to make the most of this space – does have a wonderful view and good staff.
OWNER STEALS TIPS FROM EMPLOYEES, IM BOYCOTTING THIS CAFE IN SOLIDARITY TO EMPLOYEES!
Employees are hardworking and friendly but if they don't receive the tips that THEY have worked for, I encourage others to boycott this café and the second cup at peel (same owner)
Encourage small businesses nearby; - Pigeon espresso bar - Myriade - Aunja - Shaughnessy - Insiders
Like this branch, very nice and welcoming ambience, the coffee is good and the snacks are also decent (regular second cup stuff). The staff are friendly and it’s an ideal place to work at for a few hours. Bathrooms are also clean and available.
I totally don't under why do you let people sit down for coffe in your cafe and when someone needs to use bathroom your employees asking to go use concordia bathroom. What a useless place is this you ask your customers to go use concordia bathroom. Why did you kept this place open if your bathrooms are not working. Shame on the management who cannot fix the bathroom. Date-3/23 time-11: 30am.
No hand sanitizer! Service is really questionable! Interac machine was not working in weekend! Cashier got the cash and acted like forgetting to give back the rest (more than 5$ out of 20$). Café was not of that quality I expected.
The coffee was good and all but the service was questionable.
The cashier wasn't wearing her mask properly and (maybe that's an update issue but) the cardboard at the said that it close at 8: 30pm but she kicked out all the costumers at 7pm. Personally I wouldn't complaint if we weren't a lot but most table were occupied.
I usually don't go to this Second Cup unless I really don't wanna go far. Been there few times throughout roughly a year, was never the same barista every time I went, and yet never got a good coffee. Although barista was friendly.

This is THE dirtiest Second Cup I've ever been to. The tables and floor are never clean and always sticky. I always have to adjust and clean the table myself when I need to use it. The bathrooms smell so bad and have no toilet paper ever, no hand sanitizer! This place should be cleaner because of the pandemic but I feel it's the opposite. Staff don't look friendly at all! Very poor service!
I went there to drink coffee. The bathrooms were closed. This is terrible customer service. The bathrooms shouldn't be closed at restaurants. Do not go to this place.
Service is good but the place is really dirty, flies are always hanging around you, no air conditionner, terrible wifi. Cherry on the cake: restroom are now closed due to covid 19. Almost every places in Montreal are easily dealing with the respect of hygiene rules while keeping the toilets open, but second cup, the dirtiest place in downtown is not even allowing you to go to the toilet even tho you might be supposed to come here for a long working session. I don't feel like I'm treated respectfully as a customer (who pays 5$ for an ice coffee.)
C est là où il faut savourer une bonne part de gâteau accompagnée d'un thé chaï latte ou chocolat aux bonbons. Le vent Canadien, des grands froids reste à la porte de Second Cup!

This location has changed a lot in the last few years. These changes are not for the best.
Edit I was in the neighborhood recently and wanted to get a coffee, but it seems no one was there like it was abandoned, so I went some place else. Really disappointed.
There's two people working in the morning when I went in today and waited 10+ minutes; definitely not enough staff in the mornings. Maybe the owners need to hire more English speakers as the people that hired are too french to understand what I was saying. Also, if you're looking for an apple cider, it doesn't exist in this location.
I stopped here to order a coffee on my daily commute. While placing my order, in my haste, I forgot to say "hello" and the cashier/barista felt the need to make a snide remark about manners to me. Sure, I forgot to say "hello, " which was my fault, but I found her remark for such a minor slight was rude and uncalled for. I'm ordering a coffee not engaging in light conversation with you. Definitely ordering coffee elsewhere on my daily commute.
