People wasting away in a line not allowed to even sit for God knows how long while there was NO ONE serving them. Office workers milling about paying absolutely no attention to the fact that there was NO ONE serving them. The reception booth was empty for at least half an hour with no communication to people waiting out there about what was happening. Appointments weren't being respected nor were the clients. They're not only unprofessional but mean too. They should close this office down. The extra minutes it takes to go to the passport office is worth it.

C'est le pire endroit que j'ai jamais vu.ils veulent pas traiter les demandes des nouveaux passeports.sinon si vous insister ils vont trouvé quelque chose juste pour te faire chié.
Leurs réponses c'est juste faut voir avec les bureaux de passport histoire de diminuer leurs travail.

Les photos de passeport doivent absolument être conformes, sinon on doit repasser une autre fois

As newcomers to Canada we went there for getting our SINs. The actual task, once called to a desk, didn’t take much time. But the wait time was very long. The service providers were helpful and courteous. Job done in one visit and we’re happy!

J’ai l’impression que pendant l’été ce bureau est extrêmement achalandé. J’y suis allé en Juillet 2023 et on nous a demandé d’attendre environ 60 min avant d’avoir le numéro. Puis, 45 min après on nous conseillait de rentrer puisque le bureau allait fermer et qu’il y avait encore du monde. Par contre, durant l’hiver 2023, j’y suis allé un vendredi matin et on m’a servi après 15 min d’attente. Désormais, je n’y retournerai jamais en été

Service rapide, efficace et professionnel. Je suis arrivé 25min avant l'heure d'ouverture (prévue 8h30), il y avait 12 personnes avant moi, j'ai quitté à 9h10. Je recommande d'ajouter une pancarte à la sortie de l'ascenseur pour diriger les personnes vers la salle d'attente pour éviter les confusions.

You need to wait in a room with chairs in a horseshoe musical chair pattern. The room is not connected to the SSC office. An employee periodically distributes waiting line tickets 10 at a time. Nowhere is this mentioned. I was in line for 7 minutes with people who already procured waiting line tickets until an employee advised me of the unadvertised waiting room. They can simply save a salary by simply self-serving the waiting line tickets and simply have people wait within the SSC office. There is plenty of room especially if they clear some unused desks. An alternative is to advertise the secret waiting room and install a monitor to indicate the number being served. They can save $75k. I noticed the workers taking a considerable amount of time between cases. But I get it, this is non profit. It took me 3 hours from entrance to exit. Too long eh? However, the people I dealt with were kind, courteous, and professional.

Lazy federal workers! Don't deserve any pay check raise from the government at all! Waiting for hours just to give my renewal passport application and leave my valid passport, they don't have time. But, are making you wait for hours for something that takes 2 - 3 minutes to accept. Even a is too much for this place and the boss should be ashamed of his/her workers how lazy and unorganized they are!

Service was quick and efficient, I was served in a timely manner right on time pf my appointment.

Staff us very helpful, and they make procedure far easier than I have originally anticipated.

It’s way better than I expected. I’ve saw many reviews about this place but when I came to here this morning, things just not negative.

Yes, it took me sometime to wait in line, and yes the instructions of getting number tickets are not very clear. But everyone comes to solve their problems and there is no need to yell at anyone in this service centre. We just need to be patient and reasonable.

The agent who helps me getting my SIN number was a very lovely lady. She was very patient with my crackly French and shared a good atmosphere with me all along the process. As a newcomer to Montreal, I find myself very welcoming.:)

For get a SIN number:
1. Go to 7 floor (if there is no one stopping you at the entry), check one side with a guard and tell them if you got an appointment or not first. Not the waiting line, there is for someone who already has appointments or has ticket.
2. Get a ticket and wait in line.
3. Showing the first person your information.
4. Finished all the applying process with the agent in each desk.
5. Happily leave!

Worst experience here. They told us to wait outside in -11 degree it was freezing outside. Thats just unacceptable behaviour. I hope the management take some steps for their better service.

I reached there around 11.15am, and waited in queue outside for 35 minutes. Then the security check person called me, gave me a token to go 7th floor. On the 7th floor waited in another queue for about 40 minutes. I reached another point where the person does the initial check and then they will call your name. After that they called me and asked my father, mother first and last name. 15min they gave the SIN number.

If more people come you may need to wait outside for more time.
