Sham Mont-Royal

We usually go to the Sham in the Jean Talon Market which is delicious and staffed by the loveliest people but we decided to try their sit down restaurant tonight. Seriously, OMG - the food is incredibly delicious, mindfully prepared and innovative renditions of classic Syrian dishes. I really cannot recommend it more. It is also one of the friendliest spots in town. The owner is a gem. You must also have the cheesecake - it is life changing.

The food here is unbelievably good. I've tried many dishes, and they all taste authentically amazing, offering the original flavor without any guilt. I highly recommend it.

Wow! Vraiment impressionnée par ce restaurant à base de plante. Les portions sont généreuses, les plats sont riches en saveurs et le personnel est super amical. J’ai commandée le plat sharwama (au « boeuf »). Le plat venait avec une salade, la sauce à l’ail et hummus, du riz et des frites et l’imitation de boeuf. J’ai adorée. Belle découverte sur le plateau.

Amazing! Vegan at its best! We had a beautiful evening with our niece and her boyfriend. Owner was gracious, helpful in choosing the full menu, plus delightful to talk to. Went home with a jar of his garlic sauce Desserts were really really good! Will go back to try more of his traditional homemade recipes.

My bestie and I took an Uber all the way here because of the fabulous reviews and let me just say… it did not disappoint! We had an absolutely amazing vegan experience with the most original, healthy, and truly delicious ingredients. The portions are big and the service is great! The owner was also very kind. Will definitely be back. You gotta try it!:)

The food is well served, beautiful plates, fair price, the owner is very friendly and receptive. He likes to serve and talk to his clients to understand their need’s. He puts love in everything he does. I could eat in this restaurant every weekend:) I go to this restaurant since he started his business and I would love to see more good vegan restaurants like that.

Expensive and, although the food is tasty, I found it disagreed with me (and I normally have no issues with most Middle Eastern and vegan food). Service is excellent.

Sham is wonderful. Great food and relaxing. Now that the interior and menu have been redone, it has more menu options and the seating is more plentiful-plus the decor is more upscale. The owner always remembers who I am and what I like. Very inviting.

All time favourite vegan place in Montreal. The owner is always ready to serve his customers with an amazing smile and great attitude.

Super clean, super nice staff, delicious food, (vegan).

Everything here is vegan, and my meal was so delicious! The chicken skewers looked, felt, and tasted very much like the real thing. I also highly recommend their fruit juices, not sour at all and only slightly sweet. Very friendly and welcoming staff.

One of the easiest 5 star review I’ve given. This is the best vegetarian restaurant in Montreal. We had the skewers, shawarma, and kibeh- everything was delicious. The service was amazing too.

Délicieux et service très agréable. Tout est végétarien, il y a beaucoup de choix.
Formule brunch également. À tester absolument sur Mont Royal même si vous n'êtes pas végétarien vous trouverez votre bonheur.

Ce lieu est vraiment chaleureux, on vous accueille avec un grand sourire et les plats quand a eux sont variés sans vraiment être cher, nous pouvons faire comme des assemblages c'est vraiment bien! La cuisine est de bonne qualité. Je vous le recommande!
