Basmati rice? Spicy potatoes? The meat is so dry. Basha or boustan is way better

I went in the other day to order as I had it many times in the past. Unfortunately as I was about to order I see a cockroach on top of shawarma wall. They need a food inspector asap.

The food is good better than all food tastes of montreal so far.but they need to make the place cleaner not only focus on bringing more customers but to give them à good experience

The best poutine in Montreal. Those garlic potatoes are on another level. Staff are great at what they do, and I will be returning again soon.

Something was in that chicken shawarma that made me so sick. I went on July 16th, and was sick for 2 days after.

The place is usually good. I don't know what happened this time. It was probably the chicken tbh, by how sick I got.

We tried their Chicken Shawarmaz. Taste was okay, but customer service was horrible. No smile. Long lines. If you ask a question.they get angry.

This poutine magic is magical! Boustan nor Amir cannot compete! Even if it’s 9 am or 5pm! It’s all I can think about! I’m getting broke just from ordering so much but I MOST SUPPORT THE BEST ARAB-LEBANESE-TAKE OUT EVER!

They have great variety of salads and magic poutine. Last time i came here the staff behind the counter was too friendly and polite.

I tried alot of shawarma but honestly this is best.

Got the Large Salad Plate - you have a choice of 4 of 5 salads they offer: Fattouche, Tabouleh, Coleslaw, Beets and a Pasta Salad. All the salads are well seasoned and taste good. I find that the beef is usually fresher and tastes better than the chicken.

Service is quick and efficient.

Amazing food. Very efficient and welcoming staff. Tabouleh was the best Ive had in a while. Their beef was so tender and juicy. Hit the spot tbh. Keep up the great work!

Je mets 4 étoiles juste parce qu'il manque un peu de propreté mais en revanche la poutine magic est délicieuse ainsi que leur shawarma service efficace je le recommande sans hésiter

Was visiting MTL for 7 days. We had shawarmaz 5 times during my visit. Everytime it was perfect and amazing with every bite. Fast service. And always amazing.

Great food for a good price. If you order the magic poutine you will need to go to the washroom afterwards

Bons shawarmas, je vous conseille fortement la sauce à la pomme grenade, très savoureuse! Seul chose à améliorer: le décor et la propreté de l'endroit, ce n'est pas très invitant.

Really nice of shwarmaz for giving out free food for their brand new menu, in my opinion the taste was a bid blend and needs a tweak this recipe.

Horrible customer service. Asked for falafel sandwiches, they said it would take 5 min. Waited 25 min and then when I asked why did it take so long I was yelled back at. I do not expect to be yelled at when I am just asking why my sandwich is 20 min late.
Would give 0 stars, probably the worst experience I have had in a middle Eastern restaurant ever.

Our family went for a quick dinner. This was one of the best shawarmas I had. The guys serving are amazing and friendly. The portions are more than enough amd prices are very reasonable.
I will be back to this place if I'm coming to downtown for a delicious shawarma and Poutine.

Ahhhh Shawarmaz. Là où se trouve à mon avis l'une des meilleure poutine au Canada.

J'ai facilement commandés 60+ poutines depuis Janvier cette année. Elle est extrêmement addictive (et très calorique?) mais le mélange de saveurs avec les patates à l'ail en vaut vraiment la peine.

Les Shawarma sont aussi vraiment délicieux.:)

J'ai découvert l'endroit en 2018 et c'est facilement un de mes restos préférés à Montréal.

Great service and good portions! Consistent with other reviews - good poutine with garlic fries (more like hash browns) and great platters. Meat was a little dry but all the veggies were fresh and good sauces (garlic, hummus) Will be back next time we are in Montreal!

Both chicken and beef shawarmaz are the best and no one compared to it in the town. Highly recommended

J'avais l'habitude de me rendre à ce restaurant quatre ou cinq fois par année, puisqu'ils sont situés à deux minutes de mon bureau. Par contre, je trouve que la qualité varie d'une fois à l'autre et que c'est un endroit un peu crasseux. Les gens derrière le comptoir sont dépourvus de courtoisie. Cela reflète sans doute l'administration en place.

Definitely a winning shawarma. Bustling with customers for good reason. The potatoes that come with the trio are fire. A lot of shawarma places in Montreal. Not sure I can compare them but I’d head back to this place in a heartbeat.

I wanted to like this place. Based on the reviews, I was expecting the shawarma to be mind-blowing. Unfortunately it was dry and bland. Also why is a different type of bread used for a small v.large shawarma? It doesn’t make much sense to me.

Loved the Garlic potatoe poutine. Extremely fresh and crispy. I admire the garnishing with celantro and sesame seed. The Gravy is also really exceptional quality and very unique. Customer service is very friendly considering the location and rush. The efficiency, and attention to detail was noticed right away. The Only improvement I would make is the price, since 13.99 for a large poutine is kind of expensive. Other than this, I would come visit again

Food is really good. The portions a bit small but close to st. Catherines Street and open late. Had the mix platter.

Always a good place to survive when you are in a hurry, the menu of the day for 9cad medium or 12cad big, it is a lot and good taste for the price.

Most authentic Shawarma I have had in Canada till this day! Absolutely recommend that you get the shawarma the way arabs eat it, chicken, garlic sauce and the cucumber pickles only, get a side of pomegranate molasses and Indulge! Kudoos to the owners for maintaining that authentic taste and amazing service

Loved the taste. It is different. Service is good. Location is very nice. Definitely would go to eat it again whenever in Montreal.

Went there today, I read in some reviews that their portion size was massive and yes indeed it is. Service was fast as it wasn’t that busy around or under 5 mins. Food was good salad was great ordered a Mix plate and a Pita sandwich both were very good and served in time. Taste wise I would say its nothing different than what you will get at Basha or Amir’s it all taste the same. Ambience can be improved some room for cleanliness. Restrooms were in a reasonable state. Can’t complain for the price. Good Attentive staff. Over all nice happy experience.

It’s one of the best shawarma makers in Canada.
Real authentic, tasty, and affordable.
Mix shawarma plate is my favorite, and I love their Poutine with chicken or beef.
Portions are good enough.
Place is cool and located in downtown, all the staff are nice and friendly.
I highly recommend.

Honestly, very disappointed. I called yesterday afternoon to ask how does it work for a big order. The gentleman on the phone told me no problem please come to the restaurant to place the order. The next day, i arrive to the place and the man serving refuses to take my order. I asked why and he said rush hour. I said I called the day before to ask and this is what I was told. He told me to wait till his rush hour is over to place my order. Absolutely not! No customer service whatsoever. Lets say, I were to order 3 sandwiches for myself.you would deny and refuse my order because I am 1 person standing in? Ridiculous. Worst customer service. The lady working at subway was nice enough to try and fix the issue and offer a platter from them. I kindly refused as the order was meant for Shawarmaz.

I come from Ottawa where there is a shawarma shop on ever corner. I usually evaluate the quality based on:
1. Freshness of meat: is the burner hot and orange? Do the chefs give you old, cold and crusty meat or is it juicy and fresh? Shawarmaz is super fresh.
2. Large shawarma under $10. Yes
3. Good garlic sauce and fresh veggies. Yes
4. Service is quick. Yes

Shawarmaz meets all the basic criteria for a good shawarma but surpasses everyone else with a few other things they generously add:

1. Pomegranate sauce. Delicious, a bit tart and sweet. Amazing. Not offered anywhere else I’ve been to;
2. Homemade pita for the large option: soft and super fresh, gets super crispy on the grill. Much better than regular standard pita at everywhere else;
3. Parsley on the pita. Not many places offer this. Definitely adds to the flavour;
4. Perfectly wrapped with a wrapper that describes the type of meat. It was wrapped in such a way that it didn’t drip from the bottom (an incredible feat of engineering) and I was able to pull down the wrapper as I ate so I didn’t have to touch the sandwich with my hands. I was able to eat the entire sandwich while walking and there was no mess and everything held together.

Shawarmaz is the best pita I’ve ever had. I imagine maybe somewhere in the Middle East there might be a better shawarma but this is the best shawarma I’ve had in Canada

Amazing Chicken Shawarma, amazing with everything added and Tahini sauce. Been here 2nd year in row, definitely recommend to anyone in the area who doesn't want to super heavy meal, yet still remaning satisfying.

Definitely recommended! I don’t give 5 stars unless they are really good. Portion size is very good and fulfilling- price is also very good. This must be the best shawarma place in Montreal. Many other places make you pay for less! 5 stars to shawarmaz!

One of our favourite places for good shawarma in Montreal! I would advise against taking anything not shawarma related (we tried the mixed grillades which was very disappointing, low quality of meat and a tiny portion for the price paid!) however, the magic poutine is truly magical! We get the large mixed shawarma magic poutine to share and it is probably enough for 3-4 people or as a meal for 1-2! Delicious fried garlic potatoes, juicy shawarma, lots of cheese and sauce and topped with their special sauce and toppings! Highly recommend

Temps d'attente inimaginable, la nourriture ce n'est rien que Shawarma que vous pouvez manger partout. Personnel jamais organisé (ce qui justifie l'attente).

It is pricey for fast food (between 15 to 20$ for one meal) but worth the try.

Great place for shawarma and plates. Went there Sunday June 2 2019. From Toronto. Great location and clean place. If you ever visit Montreal, male sure to go this place for sure. It's something different than your regular shawarma place. I found this place by mistake late at night lol. But I definitely recommend this.

I have made an order and i have been waiting two hours and the driver still didn't arrive. Delivery and customer service are so bad. They do not respect the client time.

The Shawarma they serve are decent and all staff is very friendly. Best part is that it's open late nights so perfect place to grab a bite in downtown specially late at night, spacious and clean.

Ordered through Uber eats came in a nice seal tight container. With rice, chicken, potatoes and salad I wasn’t even able to finish it.really good and definitely recommend.

I've been here solely for their magic poutine and it has not disappointed me so far. The only thing is that the overall quality is very dependent on how fresh their potatoes are, but regardless it is still enjoyable!

A great place for libanese food.
The restaurant is shared with Subway, and the place is not so clean. The service may be slow, but overall it's a good place to eat if you are hungry or fond of this type of cuisine.

This place is awesome! The portions are HUGE. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate. Came with rice, roasted potatoes, choice of salad, hummus and garlic sauce. The food was not greasy at all and very flavorful and fresh. It was my first time there and I wasn’t really sure which salad to get but the guy that took my order was super nice and patient. I also asked for extra garlic sauce and he happily gave me another scoop. I finished the whole plate but that was because I had a late lunch and didn’t eat much earlier in the day. I was pretty full afterwards. The food was probably enough to feed 2 people. If I lived or worked around here I would be a frequent customer. It’s been several days and I still think about how much I enjoyed my meal here. Wish they had a store where I lived.

Great spot to grab a quick bite. Meat is juicy and shawarma wrap got the right amount of spice in it. Customer service is great, place is not very clean. Place is shared with subway. They got no seating of their own but you can use subways.
