Went to Federal Muffler yesterday on the recommendation of my mechanic who thought he saw a small leak on my catalytic converter. They had three people look at my car, after which they told me that there was no leak! I can't recommend them highly enough; they are extremely honest!

This is a old school honest muffler shop.
I saw people recommending this place on my local Facebook group and I was sceptical. I had been to dealer and local mechanic. I got a very high price quotes from the local mechanic for flex pipe replacement.
I come here for an appointment and in an hour they had a new flex pipe welded in place and car running like new again. They also told me the cost of a whole new catalytic converter if they had needed to change it and it was a very reasonable price in my opinion.
It was quite refreshing compared to others I had to deal with recently.

Le travail a été très bien fait, ils ont même mis une attache sur mesure.

Went to install an M performance exhaust and they ended up cutting my OEM muffler pipe twice and poorly welded it back together (I can still see a whole in weld) after I confronted them about it. I would not recommend this shop for this type of work. The technician was arguing: why does it matter if we cut your muffler twice you can come back and we can reinstall it if needed, which is not the point. The customer service agent was arguing that they’ve done many « expensive » cars in the past which has nothing to do with the fact that you can’t do a simple job properly. Overall bad experience, don’t recommend!

Dropped in to get my broken flex pipe replaced. They worked hard to fit me in and get it fixed pronto. Super fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. Have had Magna Flow work done in the past as well. Welds are super clean. Much bette then a national chain I’ve used in the past. A-1!
