First time there, we had the smoked meat special, it was AMAZING! We'll be back and we highly recommend!

Nourriture de bonne qualité! Mais, vraiment trop cher, pour du smoked meat. 2 petites poutines au smoked meat (minuscules), un sandwich au smoked meat (sans frites, ni cornichons et ni salade de chou), une assiette de 10 ailes de poulet (sans frites, ni salade de chou) + 2 canettes de Cotts, aux cerises. =77$

Il faut commander smoke Meat maigre (même si plus cher) car le mi maigre est très gras.
L'ambiance et cuisine est genre taverne avec espace musical petit band. Musique blues/rock de radio bonne mais plutôt forte donc plus difficile pour discussion entre amis. Pour le reste, si le band est bon, ceci devient ambiance +.

I went there this past Friday with 3 of my friends. The atmosphere was amazing, food was top notch, music was a bit too loud but i still enjoyed it. Definitely coming back some time again!

OUTSTANDING FOOD! Ribs are to die for, really everything is. A must stop when in town and worth the drive if your not. Don't have a picture because it would have e been an empty plate.

As the t-shirt says. CAN'T BEAT PETE'S MEAT! Everything is so fabulous.sadly there is no indoor dining right now because of the pandemic (these pics are prepandemic) but they offer limited outdoor seating and takeout. This place is legendary for it's food and entertainment. Can't wait for the bands to come back!

We always try to pass by this place on the way to Montreal because their smoke meat spaghetti is amazing! My only issue was all the bees that kept bothering us while we were eating and a minor incident due to staff not honoring the customer line up properly.

One of the best smoked meat sandwiches I've ever had. I wish we ordered more but it was so worth it. We were passing by from our Atlantic trip when I suggested my bf to get some smoked meat sandwiches as they are known to be good in Montreal.

July 4th 2021 update

It was a beautiful day so I went to Pete’s Smoke. There a lot of people. All went well, big line up but it went fast. Did my order and waited to be called when it was ready. Then I noticed that people that where behind me when ordering were getting called before me, small and large orders. I went to the pick up counter and mentioned that people after me where getting their orders and asked where was mine. She said hat it will be a few minutes. More people where getting their orders. I finally got called and picked my order and mentioned quite a few people went before, she gave a impatient look and replied do you want forks. Now I am angry so I say no and leave. I was sitting in the car and the box was cold. Not happy…

Great food, prices are high or should I say very high. They have a combo you can order to take out, All great tasting but it comes with Costco Kirkland water bottle or fountain drink? Really, who wants to drive home with a fountain drink. They have cans but they are almost 3.00 dollars. The music is loud so you have to speak loud so the people you are sitting with will not hear you. And when the band is on the music is almost unbearably loud, if you have children bring hearing protection.

Been going for years but last visit was so disappointing not sure if worth the trip again. Paid for a Pete's special & an extra sandwich.plenty of fries but not what I was really there for.never seen the sandwiches so small before, especially since I had no issue paying the extra $$$ for quality.as I said, so disappointing.

This used to be 5+ stars, but the recent changes made necessary by the pandemic have significantly impacted the food and experience. However, it as still an amazing place to eat, you won't be disappointed!

We heard about the poutine, & figured we'll give it a go, not only did we get the poutine, which is served in a styrofoam cup, cheese wasn't able to melt, plain fries served in a paper bag, soaked in oil, threw that away, the only thing that was good is the beer, only because it wasn't made there, 142 dollars later went home, 6 hr, drive starving, thank god for McDonald's, also the waitress used her bare hands to handle the cutlery, she didn't even know what cutlery is.

Make it a mandatory pilgrimage: Go to Chenoy's, Schwartz, Lesters. Then Pete! You will thank my advice and never go anywhere else again!

P.s. Lean meat is for weaklings, ask for the fat cut for all the flavor! ;)

I have decades of experience inhaling smoked meat. NOTHING beats Smoked Meat Pete's quality, taste and value per bite! Sherry (?) who is running it (while Pete's out of town) is the biggest asset (sister-in-law I believe) any establishment could ever dream of. What a classy operation! 6 stars out of 5!

After all the hype about smoked meat sandwich, I can't tell that I was completely satisfied with Smoke Meat Pete's special. The meat had too much fat and definitely increased my chances of heart attack by 12.36%. I always finish my food, but I could only eat half of the sandwich and half of the large poutine (granted large poutine was too much).

I was told this place had good smoke meat. We drove 45min to get there. Usually go to Swartz or Reubens. Our fries were cold and our smoke meat sandwiches were all fat and very little meat. Nothing like the pictures they post. Will NEVER go back to this place again. Think twice people

Really solid smoked meat sandwich and fries. I also got the chicken wings which tasted ok. The choice between spicy and mild ended up being weird. It wasn’t a matter of spicy or mild sauce, instead it was salsa or honey? Weird… the price was also pretty nuts, though I guess you’re paying extra for the ambiance.

Facilement le meilleur sandwich smoked meat que j'ai mangé. Oubliez les montréalais overated Schwartz ou Le Main, ça se passe à l'île Perrot, avec un sandwich chaud, pas sec du tout, juteux, goûteux, et des frites "su'a coche".

Used to love smoke meat petes but recently has gone down. Firstly i fully understand that there is a pandemic but at the same time we are reopening our economy and it seems smoke meat petes is keeping their indoor dining closed, which is a really poor decision as not everyone enjoys the outdoors and waiting in line standing up. They used to be pretty fast in getting out orders but today took 20-30 minutes just for take out which is very unacceptable. The meal itself was ok but find the smoke meat was better in the past. Unfortunately i think that smoke meat petes is not going to be one of our favorites anymore.

Un incontournable si vous avez le goût d'un excellent smoke meat. Le prix est un peu élevé mais on l'oublie rapidement après la première bouchée. En ce moment dû à la pandémie le service est ouvert que pour le take out et une belle terrasse sur gazon a été aménagée à l'arrière du resto. En temps normal, vous trouverez à l'intérieur une ambiance chaleureuse et typique de ce genre de restaurant.

Très cher pour le peu qu il y a avoir l'équivalent d'un pot de mayonnaise comme salade de choux et un très très petit morceaux cornichons à l'aneth tant que la salle à manger n'ouvrira pas je ne retourne pas ça vaux pas la peine

Service is slo. Waited over 40 minutes for 2 burgers and fries, while everyone else left with their food. They didn't even want to check where our order was. Turns out it was "lost". I highly doubt it. Never going back again.

I was so disappointed in the entire experience especially with a place that has such good review.
Cons:
- Way to expensive for the portions served
- very small portions
- 30min way to poutine. It's fries, sauce and cheese
- Only a chemical bathroom for toilets.

Excellent repas! Par contre, les toilettes sont des toilettes chimiques sales et sont la seule option de ce resto. C'est inacceptable! Votre terrain est grand, organisé, qu'est-ce que ça vous coûterait d'installer de vraies toilettes? On n'est pas dans un chantier de construction! Ce n'est pas adapté aux enfants ni aux personnes handicapées; ma fille de 4 ans et moi-même avons failli vomir en ouvrant la porte des deux toilettes chimiques.excusez-moi les détails, mais elles étaient PLEINES de selles, autant les murs que la toilette en soi et même la porte d'une des deux toilettes. J'en ai parlé à une serveuse.sa réponse: "ok". Non, ce n'est pas "ok", c'est la base d'un resto d'avoir des installations adéquates.

Nous avons finalement repris la route vers un Tim Horton pour pouvoir utiliser des cabinets propres et fonctionnels.

It was ok, far from what it used to be. 11.50$ for a medium fry and 3.25$ a can is excessive. Got the 1 lb family meal. The entire load of rye bread was pretty stale. Maybe just get their meat and the rest from the grocery store. 85+$ I paid which barely fed 3 was not worth it on my opinion.
