We were in town for a couple of nights, and this hotel was so well located, great things within walking distance, and the staff was
so nice and friendly and accommodating.
The exercise room was well equipped with the nice addition of the sauna. And everything was clean throughout.

Chambre propre mais rue insonorisation rue légère, chauffage difficile à régler, et pour 3 adultes toujours 3 bouteilles d'eau et il faut réclamer x2 pour couverture, et chaussons pour 3.

For a 9 or 10, the room facing the main street (Sherbrooke Street West) is very loud at night! Furthermore, the deflector was missing from the air conditioning air outlet, which meant that there was a draft at night and it got very cold. If you made it warmer, warm air blew towards you.

C'était la toute première fois que mon conjoint et moi dormions dans un hôtel à Montréal. Le Sofitel nous a permis de vivre une belle expérience et le confort était au rendez-vous. Nous ne regrettons pas notre nuit ni notre grasse matinée dans notre suite. Bien heureux d'avoir choisi cet hôtel.

Very enjoyable and will be staying there again when I return on the next couple of business trips.

The hotel may be a bit dated but the service is impeccable. The beds are very comfortable with great pillow options. The toiletries are very nice and abundant. The room is spacious with a well stocked mini fridge.

Nice hotel, great staff. Room was very nice and good view. The only knock was that the wireless chargers on the night stands were not operational.

The noise issue at Sofitel Montreal was truly unbearable. Despite being on a high floor, the traffic noise from the street below was incredibly loud and disruptive. It felt as though there were no soundproofing measures in place, as I could hear every car passing by, horns honking, and even conversations happening on the street.

To emphasize the severity of the noise problem, I even took a video as evidence to show the front desk staff. However, their response was far from satisfactory. Instead of acknowledging the issue and offering a solution, they simply suggested using ear plugs. This dismissive attitude left me feeling frustrated and unheard.

As a traveler, a good night's sleep is essential, especially when embarking on a long drive back home. Unfortunately, the noise issue at Sofitel Montreal made it impossible for me to get any rest. It is incredibly disappointing that a luxury hotel like Sofitel would overlook such a fundamental aspect of guest comfort.

In conclusion, the noise issue at Sofitel Montreal was a major letdown. The lack of soundproofing and the dismissive response from the staff made for an incredibly unpleasant stay. I strongly advise against choosing this hotel if you value a peaceful and restful night's sleep.

DO NOT PUT YOU OWN ITEMS IN THE FRIDGE. They will charge you for using the fridge in your room.

Just lovely! The staff from front desk, bellman, to housekeepers are outstanding! Super accommodating with our two small children, thank you for an outstanding stay!

Excellent hotel. I loved almost everything about it. The front desk staff were all very helpful and very intentional with their service. The restaurant is incredible! We got in late and grabbed what we thought would be a simple burger. Turns out to be the best burger I've had in a long time. The room was nicey and roomy, and the bed was comfortable. Housekeeping came by everyday. Great area for high-end shopping. Close to Metro.

In general, it feels like you want to pay attention to your customers.

However, for a 5-star hotel, there are some problems.

The TV entertainment is poor and obsolete.
* It's mentioned somewhere we are not allowed to stream our own Netflix.
* Spotify drops every 20 seconds when connected to your TV
* You charge more than a movie ticket to watch a movie

The phone chargers are broken, both of them.

And, I'm sorry to say but charging $32 with tax and tip for a normal gin martini is simply insane. I pay less than that in New York. Price was not mentioned prior ordering.

Tout est top y compris le personnel SAUF le petit déjeuner du matin servi à table par une ou 2 personnes totalement incompétentes désagréables et RIGIDES lorsque vous passez votre commande. Un buffet conviendrait mieux à ce genre d'établissement.

Service et propreté irréprochable. Haut standard de qualité. Idéalement situé, proche musée des Beaux Art. Latte délicieux servis avec meringue. J'ai adoré mon expérience

Excellent service and welcoming staff in the lobby and front desk. Ultra professional. Room was super clean and nice, bed super comfortable. Super quiet. I could not have asked for a better stay. I will definitely go back!

The staff was wonderful, and will meet you for whatever need you have. The room itself was clean spacious and luxurious from day one, with daily room service. And it's a perfect walking distance from Mount Royale, and the assortment of cafes in the area. Highly recommend.

Also, the bed was one of the best!

Nice rooms but sweetest staff. The attended walked out of behind his desk to hand me keys, and walked me to the elevators which was literally 5 steps at best. Not a big deal but shows the commitment to hospitality.

Also liked their coffee machine and coffee

Excellent service and complimentary fast internet service. Enjoyed the gym for a few days, maybe small but it is enough as it was only me.

This hotel is amazing. From the moment we checked in I felt so welcomed. The staff are so warm and helpful, anything I asked for they were always happy to be of assistance. They also sent me a beautiful little birthday plate with sweets on it which meant a lot to me.

The room was immaculately clean, bed is so comfy, there’s a Bose Bluetooth speaker and the tv has chrome cast which I thought was a nice touch. High end toiletries and a nespresso machine too.

I would not hesitate to stay here again if I was in Montreal. Highly recommended.

The hotel has a great energy, it feels in the way it’s set up with small details and cleanliness that customer satisfaction is important to them. I take off a star for two reasons: our room was microscopic, it’s ridiculous to have a room with a king size bed so small that there’s no room to open a suitcase. The second reason is they messed up our breakfast room service order in a very obvious “someone didn’t pay attention” way.

I stayed at the hotel for the weekend of 4/21 - 4/23.
Due to a delayed flight and trouble securing transportation, I ended up checking in close to midnight.

The gentleman at the front desk was THE BEST PART of my visit to Montreal. He was very enthusiastic and jovial, and this has been the best check in experience i've had at a hotel this year.

I was upgraded to a penthouse room; the floor was quiet, clean, and just all around better than what i expected.

In-room dining order was incredible, delivered quickly and with a smile and great attitude.
Also, room service was very hospitable and willing to help.

The biggest advantage was feeling welcome as someone who barely speaks any French.

The location downtown was great - very convenient and easy to get to the metro. Will definitely be visiting again if i find myself in Montreal.

Beautiful place and outstanding service. We visited for the weekend and had a fantastic stay. Sabrina checked us in at the reception and was absolutely lovely. She gave us great recommendations on places to visit and was so pleasant overall. The beds and night service were a huge bonus. They had a selection of pillows to choose from depending on your sleeping preferences. The cleaning staff did an amazing job too. The small touches make the biggest difference. Would definitely visit again.

Vraiment un mauvais séjour.

J'arrive dans ma chambre, il faut 26 degrés. Incapable de mettre en marche mon système d'air climatisée. Le système est vraiment pas user friendly. J'ai chaud. Je vais prendre une douche. 2h plus tard, devant le fait qu'il fait encore 26 degrés dans ma chambre, ils me changent de chambre.

Le lendemain matin, je m'aperçois que j'ai oublié une bouteille de parfum assez dispendieuse dans la chambre. Je demande à l'hôtel s'ils ont trouvé. Ils me disent que non. C'est clair que l'employé qui a fait le ménage de la chambre l'a gardé pour elle/lui.

Ce matin, je suis en rencontre vidéo pour le travail. Ma connection internet lâche aux 2 minutes. Je dois la faire sur mon cellulaire avec mon LTE.

BREF, vraiment un séjour pas plaisant du tout à cet hôtel bien réputé mais je crois overrated suite à mon séjour.

A supremely comfort 5-star hotel in Montreal. Stay at Sofitel for 2 nights, the room was clean and the bed/duvet is soft and comfort. Coffee machines in the room and also kettles by demands. Particularly, Sofitel has a outstanding bathroom, with a bathtub that allows you to relax after a busy day in Montreal. Definitely worthwhile to stay if you travel to Montreal, the best 5-star hotel.

The location of the hotel is very convenient for tourists. Near the Museum of Fine Arts Montreal and McGill university, metro station Peel in a short walk.

The classical French breakfast at Renoir restaurant is delicious and “bon appétit”. Especially the Renoir Belgium Waffles, a great sweet one for breakfast. Probably the best waffles I’ve ever had, worth the price.

Absolutely luxury experience, will come back again if I visit Montreal!

Still the best hotel in Montreal if you like top class service and experiencing the French way.
We visit at least twice a year, and each visit we meet a new (young) staff member showing what a 5 star service is supposed to be. In this day and age, this is to be celebrated!

A boutique, luxury hotel, in the heart of Montreal and close to many shops and restaurants. They have Balmain moisturizer, cleanser, shower gel and soap bars in the bathroom, and embedded desk chargers for iPhones and AirPods on the bedside tables.

Service at front desk was friendly, efficient and professional. They arranged taxi service much faster to the door than most hotels I've stayed at.

My only feedback is the temperatures in the room. It takes a long while to warm up the bathroom, but even then it's on the cool side after turning up the heat overnight.

Overall, a comfortable and lovely stay.
