Superior solarium, inferior service.
Ours built 2003 as a dining room and sun room with sofa and two comfy chairs. We have ceiling blinds to cool it in the summer and blinds on two sides for sun. Northern exposure so third side always open. We have not used our patio since construction.

After severe hail and rain in October 2022, some water infiltration at the top meeting the house. Hail had created a wall for water to pool, then squeeze the water into the house. Called immediately and evdntual appraiser declared I had an eavestrough too close and that let the water in. Quote came in December for $8,100 tax incl.requiring 50% down in order to schedule. Quote was inintelligible to me as it was an internal form of check boxes and parts counts. I paid the deposit immediately, mid-December, in order to secure a place in the queue. Enormous frustration trying to get a start date. Finally, two guys show up for a morning, opening up the diagonally opposing window. I chase after the service department that these guys are not addressing the problem. They come back two weeks later and removed the eavestrough (I had to argue with Service to make that happen; at 71, I'm not climbing onto a glass roof). Eavestrough removed and checked, all wood is dry, new flashing put on. That's it.

Most of the work described to me initially was unnecessary. But I accepted the quote, so I have to pay it all. My mistake was trusting the appraiser instead of having him remove some flashing and show me damaged wood. He doesn't work there anymore, but whomever they send DON'T TRUST THEM. Show me the problem you foresee before you write me a quote.

You buy it blind and they will rob you blind.

Zytco: "We would like to assure you that we are constantly listening to our customers, and we take all comments into account. That why we were surprises of the one-star review on Google? In our opinion, the criticism is unjustified, since the service and work were done and finished, perhaps not in the same way as described in the estimate. "

I cannot imagine what you could do to alter my assessment of your service. I suggest that you send a supervisor here to look at the results of your quote and work done.

The work as described to me by M. Filion when he did the inspection was not performed. That was my fault for misplaced trust. I should have demanded he lift some flashing and show me the rotten wood he claimed was there. Apparently, you have his report describing the work to be done, but that was never given to me. The quote I received was a form listing parts and manpower required. In the end, the work he described was not necessary and was not done, but I have paid for it in full. I rushed deposit payment in order to secure the work for early Spring, but no one was available until November and the people who came were not advised of the work to be done, per quote, as you have now stated in your email to me.

I have been trying to get someone to acknowledge my repetitive emails about the problem I'm facing whenever it rains, water accumulates on the screen, disrupting the view and leaving the window and window frame covered in dirt. Zero responds and zero accountability. Should be called zero not zytco

Ne pas faire affaire avec cette compagnie. Lorsqu’ils sont en défaut il blâme le client et n’assume pas leurs responsabilités. Produit plus chère et installation bâcler…

An Excellent Product and Service from Zytco

It is no surprise that the timeline for our, recently completed, solarium project was extended; the tender process started in the spring of 2021. The delays were entirely due to supply chain issues and an unfortunate incident of damaged goods totally outside the control of the Zytco team. During this drawn out period the communication from Zytco was very good as they kept us well informed on the progress of our order in spite of them having to push out dates on many occasions.

From the start of the purchasing process with the sales representative through design, on-site discussions with the construction manager, inside sales coordination, assembly, final adjustments and sign-off the performance has been excellent.

A test will come this winter, however, having witnessed the manufacturing process, the quality of the materials integrated into the entire structure and the attention to detail exhibited by the on-site construction team, I am confident that the solarium will outperform over an extended lifespan.

Despicable service! Called for service in 2021 to redo caulking, was given a service appointment for May 2022. With delay the technician showed up in June 2022 and assured me the work will be done by August/ September 2022. I made a 50% downpayment. It is now November and nothing was done and I am told there is only 1 technician, busy on another site and caulking work ends by the end of the month or with low temperatures. UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE!

Zytco installed my glass awning last year. They're back to install my glass veranda on October 24-2022. The installer's team worked very professionally. Five of them arrived at my home quite early morning and finished it at noon. I recommend this company to those looking for awning and solarium projects.

It’s been four years since I’ve reached out to Zytco since my ceiling blinds needed to be replaced. Finally early this year I was able to speak with someone who took my order with a 50% deposit for the stores to be installed late august early September. Since then and multiple follow ups. Nothing. I called two weeks ago and asked to speak to a manager. The person said she’s in charge and has spoken to the installer who will call me next week. Well that was two weeks ago. Nothing still. They even asked that I took down my previous review since they answered my query in the spring. Hopefully this will get their attention again. If I knew the kind of after service they offered, I would never have gone with them. So now I’ve paid 50% for blinds that I haven’t seen and have no idea when I will ever see them. So an hour after I wrote this I got a call that they would send someone. The installer was very nice and polite. He finished installing and cleaned the area. Thank you.
