Had an awesome time skiing with my granddaughter. Absolutely no lineups which was a pleasant surprise as this was during March Break! Everyone was very friendly!

Great ski hill, good variety of skill green, blue and black diamonds make it fun for the whole family.

It was really fun to be there. My kids enjoyed snowtubing. Friendly staff, various cafeteria items, and great vibes in general.

I have a season pass at Cascades and I can tell you that the trail conditions here at Edelweiss are far better. Night and day.
That said, the facilities could use a little love, especially the washrooms.

Wonderful place to take the whole family. It has good terrain for beginners and intermediate and a few challenging runs for those inclined ;) Three quads keep people moving but mostly two are used.

Whoa, I remember that tubing place. I once went there by March 2015. When I first tried the big hill when I got there that time, it was really, really UPSETTING! I was yelling my head off, and after that, I cried SO LOUD. But the solution to that is I loved going on the little hill several times!: D What a great memory and place at the same time!

Would not even give it a 1 star.
Disappointing. Returned my sons seasonal ski rental with no issues.
However, attempted to get a refund for booked private lessons for my kids since Edlesweiss CANCELLED their lessons due to the weather and they told me their policy is to rebook a lesson and cannot issue a refund. This is shocking to me since I understand how a policy works but I did not cancel the lesson, Edelweiss cancelled the lesson. I could not rebook since I was going on vacation and by the time I was returning, Edelweiss advices me that they would be closed for the season and that they won't be offering anymore private lessons. After a while of back and forth they reluctantly gave me a gift card and proceeded to tell me that the gift card never expires. That's great and all but I would have preferred my money back. Not pleased at all.

They responded to a previous review that I left saying this is oue policy. They should work on revising their policy that states if Edelweiss cancels the lessons and the not client that a refund will be processed.
Buyer beware. Don't pay for lessons near the end of the season. You won't get your money back.

I won't be going back and do not recommend this location.

Skiing was great! But there was a race that barred us from a big portion of the best slopes.

Always inquire before you go!
13 April 2022 4:53
Properly maintained hills. The snowboard rentals are actually great brands. Competitive prices compared to other hills around the area. The covid screenings seems to be done randomly. The food served in the cafeteria is what you'd expect from a ski hill resort; hot dogs, poutine and hamburgers. Quite generous on the poutine cheese topping I should add.

Best local mountain in the Gatineau's IMHO. Highest vertical within 30 minutes of Ottawa. The more hard core go the extra mile to get there. Less drunks on the mountain.
08 April 2022 23:45
Excellent skiing and snowboarding location for the Ottawa/Gatineau area. The runs are long and well maintained. Have been actively going during the pandemic and they have implemented and respected the safety restrictions to a high standard.
01 April 2022 5:18
For those of you who drink water!
They are only providing access to water to their employees. If you need water I recommend you bring your own bottle unless you want to pay

My regular go-to mountain is Blue Mountain. I came to Edelweiss to visit a friend from Ottawa. The trails are decent lengths, the snow condition is very decent. The customer service is what made me give 5 stars. On a previous day, I failed to check their holiday hours and came on a day that they were closing early. They were kind enough to allow me to use the tickets on another day.

10 January 2022 18:52
Pretty good snow conditions, bit icy in spots. 2 major runs and 3 features in park open. Very little crowd.
22 April 2021 22:36
Nice ski hill, much more crowded than nearby Vorlage. Several good runs. Chairlifts are nicer than most nearby hills
17 March 2021 1:45
Very long trails. Good for beginners and intermediate. If the crowd is less they dont run two lifts and longer time waiting.

AVOID, VERY DISAPPOINTING. This is the first year I’ve gone to Edelweiss ski hill. Tonight we bought 4 hour lift tickets, and the lift unfortunately had a power outage and they closed two hours early. We had only a few runs and for most of the night waited in line as the chair lift shut down multiple times. This is not the fault of edelweiss, but I was hoping they could give us a rain check for having paid for a ticket and missing out on more than half the night. They told us they wouldn’t give us a raincheck. I’ve skied multiple times at Camp Fortune, Mont Cascades, and Mont Ste Marie and they’ve always provided rain checks in similar situations. Just wanted to voice this to locals as Edelweiss ski hill will NOT give rain checks to their customers, it seems they don’t value their clientele in the same manner as other local ski hills.

04 February 2021 17:48
Their is no poutine, I mean i don't want to be mean or anything but what ski hill doesn't have poutine. Staff speak english and french, hills go quickly, they are very cautious with covid regulations, and they fixed my ski bindings for free.

New addition adds so much extra space and much more temperate. Old building was quite drafty. Love the 2 levels and garage doors that can open for beautiful spring ski days.
24 April 2020 14:49
Amazing tubing experience. Staff really wants you to enjoy and does not get tired, pushing you down the hill.
19 April 2020 19:02
Hill is great but the bar is consistently some of the worst service I've ever had. 3 season passes here and looking like this will be my last. On the last visit waited 20 minutes and no server visited my table until I jumped in front of them on the way by and asked for a beer and to put in food order. They waited 14 minutes and came back to my table to say the kitchen was now closed (wasn't when I ordered). Still no drink. Left after 50 minutes.
Chronic mismanagement. I submitted feedback on their website and no response after a week.
04 April 2020 20:45
Chairlift is dangerous!

Chairlift is too low from the gound & my leg got caught between the ground and the chair and it almost broke my leg. Fortunately my boot broke instead and the pressure got released throught there. Manager was completly apathetic when I explained my case.

For safety concerns, I do not recommand. Plus it's not worth the extra mileage compared to Mont Cascades or Camp Fortune.

Took my 4 year old son here to go tubing on a Saturday. I tried to purchase my ticket online to save myself a few dollars, but the website kept showing an error, so I took a screencap to bring it on with me. The teller at the cash refused to give me the discounted price. The website is also unclear; the pricing page looks like kids under 6 years old are free. If the cost for kids 6 and under is $14, then the website should say "6 and under", not "6 years - ". This is quite misleading.
Once I had purchased my passes, I went to rent a helmet because I forgot to bring one. I waited 20 minutes in line, as there was only one person at the cash, and he was ringing in a family of 7 people renting entire ski kits, and they were giving all their info (name, height, weight, etc) for each person. I asked one of the three employees who were sitting around stuffing their faces with food, if someone could please open another cash, because there was now also a line-up behind me. They all looked at each other and said it's not their job. I finally got to the counter and told the man that I had bought two hour passes for tubing and I just needed to rent a helmet for my son. I also asked if there was a separate cost for the lift. He was scrolling through something on his computer, and finally came up with $43. I paid it, visibly annoyed. I asked for a breakdown of the cost because it seemed very expensive. He said it was for the tubing pass. I reiterated that I had already bought that. He refunded me. I finally got to go to the tubing area after finding a locker to put our things. I wasted half an hour of our 2 hours just to try to rent a helmet.
Hot tip: Bring your own helmet.
The tubing hill was a lot of fun. Highly recommend. There is a rolling carpet which brings you up the hill (*there is no extra cost for the "lift"). The employees on the hill were very friendly.
We went to the restaurant afterwards. The waitress was very nice, checked on us often. It was quite busy, but the service she provided was excellent. She was very friendly. The food was ok, a bit overpriced.

I would go again, but definitely bring my own helmet, and snacks for later. Their website is not very user-friendly, and the pricing is hard to find for tubing. There should be an entire page dedicated to all available service costs.
25 March 2020 23:26
Good skiing but they need more staff - try to arrive 45 mins early if you need to rent and buy your pass
25 March 2020 13:10
Great place to take kids on Spring brake! Not the crazy traffic like up the the Laurentiens. Great place to go tubing too!
25 March 2020 7:49
Not too far a drive from Ottawa. We went today on Sunday the 16th of Feb for snow tubing. Staff working at this section weren't stand outs except for the bearded dude at the top who pushes you down. He had some humor and did a good job making us scream when he spun us down the hill.
The downfall of the snow tube activity was the queue going up. It was long and slow. About a 30 min wait for a run which was not fun.
The food offered at the cafe was very average. We had poutine with soup. Soup (creme de legumes) was bland and watery. There was also a small piece of hair in it. *GAG*
The queue to order was long and not enough staff to assist. The girl on the cash register was not friendly and didn't really respond to a gentleman in front of the queue with his question in English.
Overall experience wasn't terrible but this resort could be so much better.

18 April 2019 22:14
Great ski slopes. Well groomed. The lift men and women are pleasent and helpful getting on the chair lifts.
The employees at customer service are excellent to deal with. The food and service in the restaurant is good and friendly.

Love this ski resort! Really nice people! Ski school is great! Great family ski resort with very reasonable prices!
11 April 2019 21:08
If you want to waste your time in line this is the place to be. I waited more in line for everything (tubing & food) than actual enjoyment. The tube lift broke 2 hours in the day forcing you to walk up the hill. Don’t waist your money and find another activity.
10 April 2019 2:50
Great ski hill! They have a smaller hill for little kids and beginners, some easy and intermediate runs, and quite a few more advanced runs, which are usually groomed pretty well. They have three lifts, the center one being the fastest. However, one of them often is out of service for one reason or another. There are quite a few jumps on the side of the runs, and some paths (that are technically sort of out of bounds) in the trees if you want to have some fun.
The food here is good enough, at a slightly high price, which one would expect at a ski hill. The staff is good enough, and the lines move quickly.
Overall, it is a pretty good place for all ages and skill levels.
15 March 2019 1:52
Nice hill and not too busy, but the rental service is poor. The waiting time is ridiculous (45min on average) and the crew does not seem too bothered.
22 February 2019 15:19

I just want to preface this by saying that I've had good experiences in the past but last night, I called to confirm they were open for tubing and they said they were open until 9pm. Upon arriving there at around 6: 30, we were notified that there was no tubing during the weeks due to it not being busy enough which was a little irritating considering we drove over 50 kilometres to get there and that I was informed that they were open when I called. I can understand why they wouldn't be open for tubing but it just would have been nice to know before we drove all that way for nothing and to have been given correct information on the phone.
