Pleasantly surprised by this Korean BBQ. Authentic Korean food. Serving everything from Bulgogi, to the famous Korean fried chicken. Went in just after lunch and had a feast. Prices were reasonable and portions were generous. The wait staff was attentive and everything was delicious!

I've been there multiple times.
Gamjatang, tteokbokki, jjamppong ramen, chicken, kimchi fried rice ect.everything is good!
Just in my opinion, Dakgalbi is the best!
And kind staff and owner:)

Clean place, Fresh food. Their fried chicken is just perfect (crunchy, juicy and clean).

Staff is friendly and nice. Proces are affordable if we consider the quantities.

Keep up the service. I'll definitely comeback and recommand you as long as you keep the positivity.

Restaurant coréen de quartier, bien sympa, pas trop achalandé et assez grand pour accueillir des groupes. Le poulet frit est idéal pour partager, sinon les plats individuels sont quand même assez gros! Les accompagnements banchan gratuits sont seulement du kimchi et de l'algue mariné. Ça aurait été encore plus chouette s'ils servent leurs propres préparations comme d'autres restaurants font.

I've been there a couple times and was always satisfied but i just ordered delivery from them tonight and i'm very disappointed.the kimchi jjigae is very oily, overly sweet, and only had like 5 tiny pieces of tofu.i was expecting the takoyaki to come from frozen and it did, which is fine, but charging 9$ for 5 minuscule balls is nonsense (plus they weren't very good).

On my top 3 Korean food restaurants by far from all the other places. If you are looking for a rich noutricious meal with authentic tast please go here. Server is a little forgetful with water and ambiance is very calm but by far the food exceeds all of that.

Everything was SO salty. I’ve tried many Korean restaurants and this one is by far the saltiest I’ve ever had. So much that I was still drinking water 2 hours later and the day after.
Tteokbokki was okay but the pajeon (pancake) was way too thick. I personally prefer thinner one but if you like it thick, feel free to try it.
Service was below average for sure. There was two other tables only but it looked like the waiter didn’t really want to work or something. At the end, we asked for a box to go and he made us stand up to go get it and same thing when we asked for water. He was like “take the pitcher over there”. It was their pitchers station at the end of the restaurant (our table was near the door).

So yeah, in conclusion, I’m not going back for sure.

Loved this place! It is hard to find good korean food when dining out in my city so we were thrilled with the quality at sopoong?

They have the best kimchi I've had in Montreal. The kimchi jjigae was really good, super tasty!

Repas excellent.
Faut pas être pressé. Et faut savoir parler anglais, pas de service en français là.

Nice Korean restaurant with many choices. The price is a bit higher than average, portion is great. However the service is somehow slow. We came on a Thursday night around 8pm, only 4 tables were there. But we waited for half an hour to get the food.

Fried chicken is amazing! Lots of veggies in the bibimbap. The gamjatang was so-so and the seafood pancakes was quite salty. I was disappointed they did not include some Banchan (side dishes) or even kimchi without having to pay extra. Overall, nice atmosphere and really great fried chicken!

Super love the Gamjatang the meat is very soft and the soup is palatable. The shrimps is crispy and the chicken is delicious. The service is fast and prices are affordable.

One of the better tasting kimchi stews out there! I love my kimchi stew to taste pungent, spicy and sour and this one really hit the spot. The rest was also good! I wish the katsu were cut into slices, it was difficult to do with only a butter knife lol! Service was super friendly but slow as they are only two on the floor managing literally everything but the kitchen (serving, running, bussing, take-outs and uber eats etc), it was difficult to get their attention. Other than that, food was good so I would come back to try other things on their huge menu!

Ordered a Dak-Galbi Lunch Box from this place. The food was pretty average. Presentation was really nice however, the portions were tinier than expected and I do find that it is quite a bit more expensive compared to other local
Korean restaurants. The service also left us pretty disappointed. Our food took a while to be served despite not being busy and the waiter forgot to serve my girlfriend's dish.

It's not a bad place, but I had higher expectations.

I ordered the boneless fried chicken and…. OMG it is by far the BEST fried chicken I’ve ever had in my life! I recommend this place 100%!
Definitely a 5/5 for me! Can’t wait to have everyone I know taste this heavenly goodness too!

P. S. It was hard to stop eating to take a picture! That’s how good it was.

I went there with my friend and the place was clean. It has a nice vibe with great music. As for the food, it was SO GOOD. We ordered tteokbokki and japchae and my goodness, I'm definitely coming back here to try more items from their menu.

J'ai eu le plaisir de découvrir par hasard se restaurant lors d'une semaine de travail dans montréal. Je n'ai pu m'empêcher d'y retourner à tous les midi pour essayer le menu et les divers produits disponible.

Je suis un grand fan de cuisine coréenne et en cuisine énormément à la maison. Je peux donc vous confirmer que les repas que j'ai essayé était excellent.

Le personnel est courtoi et gentil. Ne restez pas surpris, ils ne parlent que anglais et non français mais la barrière de la langue n'est pas difficile a franchir.

Je retournerai à plusieurs autres occasion à ce restaurant.

It’s hard to believe that though this restaurant has a bathroom, even paying customers are not permitted to use the facilities. This may work in Korea but it is not even legal for a restaurant to remain open without a bathroom in Canada

I am a big fan of Korean foods and I have tried many different Korean restaurants and I can say this restaurant was so far the worst. Their food is okay and I loved their customer service. There used to be a nice and sweet young lady who used to work there who spoke both French and English very well, but I don’t think she works there anymore. Now it’s only a young man who is very rude and he doesn’t speak French and really bad english. It was really hard to communicate with him and I had to explain him more than ten times to make sure he got the right order.

Ne parle pas français. Donc irespect total selon moi. De plus même quand je parle au jeune du comptoir en anglais il ne M explique rien du menu et s empressé de se réfugier à l arrière. Domage le menu à vraiment l aire bon.

Their fried chicken is out of this world. Super crispy even when they sauce it up, we had boneless and it was still extremely juicy!

Had a bulgogi plate too, and it was so good, I ended up putting the rice in it to soak up all the delicious sauce. Their banchan were super good too; great kimchi that is well seasoned, seaweed salad that was really good and just the perfect amount of seasoning and the bean sprouts had this delicious sauce.

Honestly, I've tried a bunch of Korean restaurants in MTL, and while Chez Bong used to rule supreme, Sopoong is now my favorite spot. It's a bit out of the way for me but it's worth every minute driving down Decarie.

Vraiment bon! Très supérieur et différent de tous les comptoirs de restauration Coréens. Service est ok. Prix raisonables. Et en plus, il y a un Starbucks juste à coté!

My wife bought chicken katsu for dinner and wanted to try out this place, the chicken was okay but the sauce that comes with it i'snt original at all and felt it was store bought instead of homemade like a taste from flamingo brand but the fries were good but i douth they made it them selves. Next the salad side taste fresh and the vinaigrette not bad im impressed. The rice was dry and for koreans to actually make this it makes me sad and omg the side dishes are tiny like cmon the kim chi the seaweed and bean sprouts looks like a taster menu from costco disappointing and for 16$ not worth it. I felt like its quantity over quality. Im very sorry if i sounded harsh but i would like to see them improve on this before putting it on the menu.
