Hidden gem! Delicious Pitas-plates and salads. Service is quick and friendly. My go to spot in NDG I order from here at least once a week and I’m always satisfied:)

I ordered 3 lamb souvlakia & 1 large bag of fries. Fries were burnt & souvlakia were cold. I was told it takes 15 minutes for lamb to cook so it should have been warm & it was dry so that being said they lost a customer.

Good little greek spot for gyro. Nothing to write home about. I haven't tried the whole menu either. Hate the tip option at the takeout counter because I feel pressured, but I guess this is the new normal. Overall satisfied when in a pinch for dinner.

I order a chiken souvlaki to eat on the spot. The place is more for take out. Some chair to sit down of you want to eat there. The shanwich was good and tasty. I really like it. I little bot overpriced just for a souvlaki. I paid 9.00. Of you want the plate it's around 18.00$.

What the hell happened?
I've been ordering from here for years, always loved their food.

Ordered two pita plates tonight for myself and my mom. Pitas weren't even half full, it costs extra for lettuce? Not a slice of onion or tomato in sight. I basically got 2 pitas with a few tiny pieces of chicken. Ate two bites and the rest was just bread.

Salad was pathetically small, about 3 bites, and the container was full of water, soaking wet.

Fries were extremely greasy, literally soaking in oil which pooled on my plate. Inedible.

What happened? The food here was always amazing, but I ended up throwing away most of my food tonight. Portions are also suddenly much smaller and no longer worth the money.

Disappointing for one of my ex-favourite restaurants. I'm sad to say we will not be ordering again.

Not as good as it used to be. Food delivered was cold and soggy bread. Tzatziki cup was half empty, rice was tasteless. I hope they go back on track because they used to be the best.

Very good food! The fries taste homemade, the salad dressing on the house salad is fantasic, and the pitas are consistently perfect! It's definitely a good value, too. I would reccoment the gyro combo with fries and salad!

Underrated spot for awesome gyro pitas, definitely worth a try when you've got that craving. Service was friendly and very speedy.

Pita was lacking tzaziki, Feta cheese on salad had gone bad.the salad portion is really small. Fries had close to no salt. 2 stars were earned for the meat of the souvlaki.

My husband and I went to pick up supper today. We have been there a couple of times in the past. Needless to say, we won't be going back. The food is good but extremely expensive for what you are getting. We ordered a chicken pita plate and a gyro pita plate. The word "plate" is deceiving. It is not a plate as it is prepared a la carte and everything is packaged separately. It cost us just under $40. We could have eaten in a restaurant for that price.

I had the chicken pita plate and the pita had only 4 small pieces of chicken. Very disappointing.

My husband had the gyro and there was minimal meat. The salad was 4 fork fulls. Also disappointing although the salad dressing was good.

It is unfortunate that times are tough for restaurants these days but that does not mean that you shouldn't get full value for the high price you pay.

Wow, such good food and the service promised was delivered in time as predicted. I am very pleased when I eat that chicken souvlaki it just compliments all my taste buds. Just keep ordering it without shame, this food is on another level. McDonald's is toxic compared to you guys.

Ordered a pita and fries and was told I'd have to wait 10 minutes. This was at 3 in the afternoon, not a rush time. The food was overpriced and underwhelming. Their terrasse is in need of a fresh coat of paint. They could do a lot better.

Souvlaki George is definitely my favorite Greek restaurant in Montreal. Personally for me, for the items that are available here, they beat many high end Greek restaurants. The rice, the potatoes, the meat and the salad - all top notch. I often go get two dishes for lunch and dinner.

I've been coming here for years, in its current incarnation as a Greek restaurant. There has been a restaurant at this location since my highschool and university years. The interior has gotten a much needed refresh and looks much more modern. During the pandemic it seems to have transitioned into more of a counter service with tables on the spacious terrace. At this whole time, the souvlaki on pita is a good quality I think it's gotten a bit better, actually. There seems to be some added emphasis on presentation, including packaging for takeout. Price wise it's still a bargain, based on the quality of the food that you get. It's a great deal, especially if you're a student as well as being conveniently located steps away from the university and nearby schools.

The food arrived and both the receptionist and delivery guy AJ were a delight to deal with! ️. The food was excellent and the pita (although I was warned of it’s tastiness) threw us for a loop! My God it was heavenly. The pita was the selling feature no doubt!

We ordered two pita plates for pick up.
It was ready fast for Sunday lunch and the food was great. Friendly staff, too.

Just bought a combo #10 for 13,95 $ before tax, portion size does not worth the money. The staff were friendly.

La place a encore l'air louche après les rénos mais la bouffe est bonne. Je mettrais un peu plus de tzatziki dans les pitas.

We really enjoy it, I find that the pita and the chicken souvlaki are consistently fresh. Not dry like some places.

Absolutely incredible gyros, there's a reason these guys have been open forever. A true NDG gem.

I order through their website directly. Every plate I have tried is always fresh and absolutely delicious!

*Edit* I had diarrhea the next day. I know it was 100% this tasty meal. Which is a shame. Because I enjoyed it so much.

I don’t know why after living in NDG for 46 years we have not ordered or eaten at Souvlaki George, I really don’t. But after tonight’s fantastic dinner it won’t be long till we order again. We had 2 chicken pita souvlaki plates and a fried calamari. Really enjoyed everything. Was very pleasantly surprised that everything was packaged separately, Pita Souvlaki, Fries, Salad, Calamari.bravo!

Made a mistake in our order, gave us the wrong items ordered and refused to acknowledge their error.
We had to reorder and pay for the correct items. So in other words they charged us for both orders eventhough the 1st one was their mistake.
NEVER WILL YOU SEE ANOTHER DOLLAR FROM US AGAIN AND I WILL MAKE SURE I WARN OTHERS.

Stood at the cash waiting for service for way too long, even though an employee looked at me and turned away. Box and food was covered in dirty hand prints and the pita was three saddest looking thing I have ever seen. Used to be a favourite. Striken from that book.

I ordered from Uber so I can only juge from what I’ve received. The plate wasn’t as hot as if I had eaten on site but it was great! The chicken plate I had was good, the rice and the condiments were okay. I’ve been there during the summer witch I think is more convenient for your first time.

I recommend then for delivery is you are nearby.

A pleasant delivery man, with the best souvlaki I ever ate. Don't order through Uber, the online website for Souvlaki George is easy and the delivery was quick! Thank you!

Not sure it's because of corona.but the deliverers avoid bringing the food in front of the apartment. I do not understand why they ask the complete address online and then make you take the food half way!

Other restaurants are more customer-oriented than this one.

The Chiken Pitas I ordered were great. However, the french fries are terrible, and worst of all, the expensive "Greek" salad is a shambles.a plate full of lettuce and some token tomato slices with shards of feta.for 14$.

This place never disappoints. Their food is always fresh and full of flavor. In my opinion, probably the best gyro place in Montreal and I've been to MANY.

I discovered Souvlaki George when I lived in NDG from 2000 to 2002.and ordered the lamb souvlaki! AWESOME! Fastforward to 2020 - i can't get away from this dish and I won't have it elsewhere! The tzatziki sauce, greek potatos and homemade salade dressing is something to crave for! Efcharisto for the great food!

Absolutely amazing food, wow i really don't know how much more good things I can add. Everything was just prefect, very tasty, fresh, good portion. Honestly i can say they are one of my best greek place now. I'm super picky with what i want inside my pita and they followed all my instructions perfectly. Highly recommended! They are now on top of my list to order moving forward.

Souvlaki George might as well be an institution in my life. The amount of money I've spent on this place, over the years, is substantial. Be it the standard junk food, the Greek specialties, or whatever else you spot on the menu, you are going to be satisfied and pleased by what you've ordered. I have only the highest praise to offer this restaurant, which is hilarious because I've never actually eaten inside - years and years and years of deliveries that never went awry.

I would debase myself in honor of Souvlaki George.

Good souvlaki, terrific rice, but I have to remove one star because the pork sticks are made of fatty pork neck, not tender meat, so all you get is a chewy substance that you have to throw away; and not enough salad to my taste. Chicken sticks good, orders arrive on-point, and the taste is great, just order pork elsewhere.

J'ai pris l'assiette de brochettes de porc avec riz, patates grecques, pita, salade et tzaziki. Les accompagnements étaient très bons et il y en a beaucoup. Par contre, le porc n'était pas très beau, car la plupart des morceaux étaient gras et coriaces.

First time ordering, it won't be my last! Great food. The star of the show would be the fresh cooked pita. Plus the calamari was perfect. Great job people!

We ordered from this restaurant because of a email received twice telling us of a 15% credit for order of $30 and more. So we took advantage of this. We receive our order (that was cold) and the price is different then the price on our email confirmation. So the gentlemen on delivery calls them and explains and then they explain that online orders at 10% off and kept on explaining that it was a personal email we got. She said it's only on $100 purchases. I showed the two emails I receive [email protected] and he agreed with me on the situation. Then someone else comes on the phone maybe a manager and explains that its impossible to have 15%. I then let it go and paid the man so he can continue his deliveries. I am never ordering there again. Food was tasty after reheating it.
After this review we received a phone call and got offered a free meal for next order.

Ordered a gyro pita plate with carrot cheesecake. I enjoyed every bite of my dinner! The meat was generous, fresh and flavorful, and the pita bread was perfectly toasted.

I lived in Montreal for eight years, five in NDG. Souvlaki George was part of the neighborhood. His Tzatziki is among the best I've ever had, and is constantly winning awards. Open late or for an early weekend lunch Souvlaki George is a great spot to stop by for a snack! In the summer the homemade lemonade is a great way to fight off the heat! Get the Grape leaves as a side you won't be disappointed!

Lived in the neighbourhood most of my life. I grew up within walking distance. With all the changes I'm glad that George is still here, amazing food, great service and price.

My GREEK deluxe salad came WITHOUT olives and olive oil and just crumbs of feta. Where's the Greek in my salad then? George, your food quality just keeps decreasing. Very disappointed!

I've ordered a couple of times for this restaurant. The price is reasonable and the food is amazing! The salad dressing they make is soo good as well as their chicken pita wrap!

Ordered (take-out) two Johnny deluxe salads (Greek salads with gyro meat) with a side of Tzatziki.

We were very disappointed with the salads, which were almost exclusively romaine lettuce. Very little thinly sliced feta cheese an almost no cucumbers/tomatoes/onions.
I might have been spoiled by every other Greek restaurants I ever went to.

The gyro meat which came with the salad was good and the side of Tzatziki was excellent.

Best gyro I ever had. The portion of meat was generous, flavourful and tender. The bread felt like it had been made fresh. I order regularly from there and each time, it is as good as I remembered! Highly recommended!

Absolutely scrumptious. We got take out at 8: 30pm on a Sunday and everything was freshly prepared crisp and delicious. The portions are really big for the price you will have leftovers for lunch. We got the chicken pita plate and the gyro plate: both came with a side of freshly chopped salad and a really good dressing. Be ready for extreme garlic tho (in the best way)
My only comment is to include a vegetarian plate option with the Greek potatoes, rice, salad with a bit more feta than the side salad and tzatziki. That would be perfection. Will be returning, thank you!

Since there aren't any good greek restaurants that deliver in the Lachine area, Souvlaki George is a great life line for a souvlaki pita, and outstanding greek poatoes. 4 stars only cause they are a bit stringy on the tzatziki sauce but loads of meat. A must try.

I’ve passed by this place so many times, as I grew up not far away. I heard great things so I wanted to see for myself. I ordered through their website and within 20 minutes it was delivered to my door. The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered for my family chicken pitas, fries, chicken stick plates with potatoes, rice and salad. The portion of green salad could have been more generous but other than that I enjoyed it very much and so did my family. I definitely recommend Souvlaki George.
