Fantastic Greek restaurant. It is small and quaint, and the food is delicious. The portions are extremely generous. The calamari were superb. Good value for the fresh and appetizing dishes. Wonderful service and lots of parking.

This is a great restaurant with great products and the service is up to part.
The staff is friendly and seemed to take pride in the food they are serving. I really enjoy my pork souvlaki stick and their incredible homemade sauce! The feta cheese entree was good to share and I couldn't stop thinking about it long after. We went as a group and tried other Greek options in Laval but I think this might be my new favorite. Warm, unpretentious and cozy atmosphere a must to try in Laval.

The steak and the lamb chops were excellent. Friendly efficient service. Calamari was nice and crispy. Wish they had more dessert options. BYOW makes everything even better.

Drove by this place a number of times, finally visited this weekend. We had the Kopinista with garlic toast for a starter. Mains were a Chicken souvlaki on pita and Gyro on pita with fries and salad.
Everything was great, right up there with the best! Quaint little spot with great service and friendly atmosphere. Prices are reasonable. Definitely recommend.

First time I've ordered from here, after hearing nice things about the food. I'm a customer now. I ordered a gyro pita special, that I picked up. One chicken gyro and one regular. Absolutely delicious. Bravo!

It's really great service. Everyone is very friendly and has a very relaxed vibe, which I like. It seems like everyone who works there is at home, which is a breath of fresh air compared to other restaurants.

I had taramasalata, souvlaki chicken plate, sprite, baklava, and tea.

There was also an order of calamari.

I had to take the entire plate of souvlaki chicken to go. After the taramasalata, 2 pieces of calamari, and house salad (which came with my souvlaki plate), I wasn't able to have the chicken plate. But I wanted to try the baklava and it was delicious! Especially with the tea! I forgot to take a picture of those.

It's byob for those who want to grab something before heading over.

Same amazing food and service.

Someone told me that this restaurant was great so I decided to try it. Boy was that person correct!

I had the loose meat chicken and it was one of the best I've ever had. I did not take the fries because they were the thick cut potatoes that I don't really care for but my salad was extra big.

The coffee was spectacular and so was the galaktoboureko.

What I also liked about this restaurant was you could bring your own wine and beer. I like a glass of wine with my dinner, but I don't like to spend $8 or $10 for it so it's nice to bring my own.

Another thing I want to mention is the service because this restaurant really impressed me with their customer service. We had two different people serving our table and they were both really friendly and courteous.

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. However, you have to make reservations. The restaurant has very few tables and if you go there without a reservation you may not get in.

I just ate the best souvlaki I've ever had. Reminded me of the souvlaki in Greece, just melted in my mouth. Amazing. All the food here is on another level.

Excellent Greek Food. Portions are huge. When your plate is being brought to you, it's an impressive sight. Pricing is descent for quantity of food, but exceptional given the quality of food is fresh and tasty. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Servers are friendly and hospitable.
You can't go wrong.

In house with bring your own wine or delivery the food is Top notch. And the stuff is super.

Best souvlaki i have had until now i used to always go to marathon/ souvlaki bar not anymore. Their food is so fresh and delicious.

Unfortunately, that was 4 years ago.

As of yesterday, I tell you, DO NOT GO. I have given them way too many chances. The orders are ALWAYS WRONG. Last night I picked up takeout, straight forward: 2 chicken stick plate and a calamari appetizer. I asked for extra pita bread on the side, but to also keep their usual garlic bread. I repeat the order more than once. As i get there, I make sure to repeat that nothing was missing as it was not the first time they miss items in my order.

Once I get home to my surprise I found 2 porc stick instead of my original order with some bottom of the barrel fries and uncooked rice. The calamari was good as usual but they shrunk the portions. For the extra pita on the side? I got a LOAF of their garlic bread, literally 10 slices? We are two at home.

I called back and the girl was nice enough to send me a delivery driver with 2 chicken sticks instead. Well it was literally 2 chicken sticks, no fries, no rice. So we had our supper cold, unapetizing and very disappointed. They lost a regular customer, there are WAY better options around.

The food & price is decent for what you get when you get it. The big problem is the order is always mixed up whether you take delivery or phone ahead & pick it up. This is not just a 1 off occurance. Out of 4 orders for pickup & 1 for delivery, every single time food was missing. The more ordered, the more likely stuff is missing. Sometimes you've been charged or sometimes the airhead at the cash/phone order desk just writes it down wrong. Bags are stapled shut when handed to you, so you usually find out chez vous when someone or people are sitting down to their missing dinner. You then have to phone to sort it out & run back to the restaurant to pick up the missing items. Also, the error has never been in our favor strangely enough. Extremely annoying & disruptive, not to mention expensive with the price of gas these days. So sorry, over & over & over again doesn't cut it. Hire better staff. I normally don't take the time to write negative reviews about restaurants, but this one is a mixed up mess. Not impressed!

I had a very bad experience with the delivery ordered at 6: 55PM and received the order at 8: 55PM, Thats a 2 Hour Delay. Plus when I went to eat the Yero's they were cold and so was the Garlic Bread. Had I been told it would take this long I would of went to Restaurant and Pick-Up Myself since its 5 minutes from my Place.

Even though it is a small place to eat in, but quality if service is good, price is decent and very tasteful Greek restaurant. Usually people do take out from here but from time to time we like to sit down. It’s small and geographical area not the greatest for a restaurant, regardless, you get good food and good service. Try it.

Everything was perfect until i was eating there then i felt a strong smell of mold in my mouth. I didn't care about it. 2 hours later i got very bad diereha and a very severe headache. After 24 hours still experiencing consequences of poisoning. I paid 50$ yesterday for a souvlaki and a calamari. Souvlaki was ok. Calamari was very very very amateur and raw.maybe thats the one that poisoned me.

My sister's mother-in-law brought us some delicious greek food yesterday night. The Chicken gyro was fresh and tasty.

Although I like my greek potatoes more lemon-y, they were still very good. Not sure about seeing french fries in the gyro though as it seems to "distract" from the taste of freshness that the other ingredients provide - although, I acknowledge that the inclusion of fries in gyros is done by Greeks too in Europe. Solely the opinion of an Italian-Canadian.

Today we ventured to hike in a Laval parc.
Bois de l'Equerre.
I was craving for Greek food.
We ended up at Souvlaki Vieux Grec.
Great place. Authentic very yummy greek food. We will for sure return one day. It is a great find.
It is a bring your own wine place.

I am so disappointed, there was some sort of an error on my parts or theirs. And they refused to change it. I have been a client of theirs since the beginning and I order two to three times a week. Way to treat a client. And lose a client over a sandwich.

Small cozy & friendly resto. Chicken is always juicy and delicious be it brochettes or gyro. A well kept secret in little Chomedey which you must try!

The wife got food poisoning maybe from there

Went back almost a year later, sorry to say. Tasted ok, Felt like I drank a liter of vegetable oil. I don't see what it offers more than your Greek common " chain " resto. Will stay at 3*

Its really a a five star but they need to stop asking how we are paying before they take the order. Knowing the restaurant industry, it sounds tax evadingly corrupt and we get no discounts by paying cash. So please ask that question when we get to the cash register, not on the phone before we even place our orders.

Other than that - the food is really good - they are getting faster at turning over their orders. So its all good.

They do overcharge for their salads.

The fact that every Souvlaki place in the neighborhood is at 10cents in price from each other for similar platters and sandwiches could be a cause for concern (price fixing) - it does not affect my rating.

But it does raise the question - are we all paying for the UBER/Doordash/Skip services even while picking up?

Should there not be a different price for picking up if the delivery service companies are charging restaurants 30%. Our price is the same if we pickup or have it delivered by a food delivery service.
Does it make any sense - is it right - I would like to get feedback on this.

Nick's service is fast and friendly, didn't even have to write anything down. Portions are big, taste is excellent and reasonably priced, all while listening to authentic Greek music. Best Greek food I've had in a long time here in Chomedey. They put Marathons and Aarahova to shame, I'll be back!

This is as good as it gets. If you like Ola Kala, Greektown grill and Philinos, then this won't disappoint, it's up there.great food and very kind staff. My favorite gyros are Greektown grill and Ola Kala and this is on par. Steak fries are great, calamari is very tasty and house salad is very good with that salad dressing. Those marinated peppers it salad are so good.

Such an amazing place, I have been here twice and every time I go it gets better! The people there are so loving and nice, just all around amazing people. The food is on a whole another level, I got the chicken gyro, and it is one of the most authentic Greek food I've had in a while. Will a thousand percent go again!

I gotta say best Gyro in Chomedey, really good portion size, the quality of ingredients are phenomenal. All for a good price with a trio. This is must if you love authentic Greek food!

Probably the best and greatest value place you can eat, the chicken souvlaki is the most tender chicken I've ever tasted Don't know how they do it but it is so tender it practically falls apart. The chicken donor at the pork donor are very tasty and delicious I love their steak fries not to mention the tzatziki All good food never disappointed we usually order there once every week or once every other week

Been going to this place for the last 2 years but never had the chance to put a review. A tiny bit more expensive than the other generic Greek gyro places but definitely worth it. Portions are generous and quality is very good. Normally would eat there as it is better hot and just out of the kitchen but pandemic obliges, the take out is still a good option.

If you haven’t tried Souvlaki Vieux Grec, you haven’t eaten Greek. (Montreal/Laval) Totally worth the trip. A must! The best I’ve had during the covid-19 take out experience. I would have given a 5 star rating because the food is excellent but the wait time is way too long and the staff doesn't seem to care that some customers are waiting 2 to 3 hours to receive their delivery orders. Even if you pickup, it's common to wait 30 min to an hour and that is after you show up at the time they tell you the food is going to be ready. They are very rude when you ask what the status of your order is and how much longer you have to wait. After waiting for over 30 min, I saw such rudeness from one of the hostesses to a client (who had been waiting for 1 hour) so I just left and went to Greektown Grill down the street and placed my order after walking in on the spot. The portions at Greektown Grill are not as generous (but they are still plentiful), the food is very delicious and I got served in 10 minutes. My wife and I have been ordering from Vieux Grec every friday for over 2 years but we will now be ordering from Greektown Grill.

Usually it's great but this time I was very disappointed with the food. The souvlaki was very salty compared to other times and I also asked for fries but not day old cold fries all browned and hard. Feels like it's someone else's fries to be honest.
