Subaru Outaouais

This is the typical dealership you've always heard about where you get the big smiles and bigger promises as soon as you put a foot in. Once they get your money, you become nobody. It's too sad because there are some decent salesmen, but overall, the mentality is all about ripping the customers off and making as much profit as possible even if it means being dishonest and lie to their clients.

Subaru Outaouais’ vehicle selection and pricing is right, but it took the dealership over 3 months after me taking my vehicle off the lot to contact me that a ‘protectant’ that I paid extra for was not completed - this is also after I took it back the first week because the car was not properly detailed when I picked it up (there was smudges on the ceiling). When I dropped my vehicle off for the service, it still was not clear what needed to be done and when asked why it wasn’t completed when I first took my car (as I was told everything was complete) I was informed that it was likely due to the fact it was a separate company that does the protectant. Nothing has been advised as to what will be done to rectify the fact that I paid for the service months ago without receiving.

I was provided with a loaner car, however was also told to ensure I fill the car with gas when returning (with proof of receipt). This is odd to me as I’ve never had that for a dealership loaner vehicle before, but not overly concerning. However shortly after getting off the lot, the windshield wiper fluid light came on, being January this is concerning to me.

Chantal is a pleasure to deal with, but overall the customer service is not on par with dealerships I’ve dealt with in the past, which is very unfortunate to deal with after upgrading a vehicle, then receiving what feels like downgraded service.

Had a great experience buying my first car with Bruno Lopez. Very friendly, professional and took the time to answer all my questions. He showed me all the features on the car and explained how it all works. I wasn’t sure how buying a car in Quebec would be as an Ontario resident but they made it super easy and had licence plates ready for me. Would recommend buying a car here!

By far the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Lost my business and my family/friends. Run from Jacques Legare! The guy couldn’t take criticism without yelling and generally making the tone more aggressive than it needed to be.

That being said, Constantine (sales) and the finance department guy were very professional and nice!

The purchase of a new Solterra from Eustache Kwizera was an extremely positive experience from start to finish. Eustache is a very personable and professional person who took care of everything before we even arrived at the dealership and once we arrived, everything was seamless. My girlfriend drove away with her first electric car with a electrifying smile on her face. Great job Eustache

Extremely disappointed with sales and service.

I picked up my “Certified pre owned” WRX at night and unfortunately couldn’t see the paint well at 6pm. Turns out there is thousands of dollars worth of damage under the clear coat. Since I mentioned it after picking up the car they refuse to help out (that’s on me)

PS, cosmetic issues do not fall under the “152-point inspection” according to the manager and only get addressed if they are safety issues…. He agreed that “cosmetic on the Subaru official website does not mean cosmetic”

The car was also being sold higher than officially listed on their website. I had to point this out and redo paper work. (Honest mistake.)

I also brought in my other WRX to be repaired, they miss diagnosed the problem THREE times without any refund.
Eventually they quoted 3,500$ for the repair… I then bring it to another shop to find the problem is only a 400$ alternator….

Love Subaru but this dealer left the worst impression.

Mr. Bruno Lopez and Constant Tanflotien, Subaru Outaouasis, Gatineau. They both went belond what any other Salesperson in other dealership in Ontario offered. They treated us fairly in a professional manner and we were "Fully Satisfied" with their services. We will go back to deal with Subaru Outaousis anytime in the future when we look for another Subaru vehicle.

For a first time buyer looking for a brand new vehicle, I had an absolutely horrible first time experience with Subaru of Kingston. Having to chase a “salesman” to sell me a car, only to find out months later that the car never existed. It was a complete waste of my time and I was extremely let down by Subaru of Kingston. Fast forward to my second try with Subaru of Outaouais, and I could not have asked for a better first time buyer experience. Many thanks goes out to Roberto Almonte for his patience and great expertise. With Roberto’s help I was able to get my hands on the exact vehicle I wanted- although Subaru of Kingston told me it did not exist and would never happen. I cannot wait to get my brand new 2023 Subaru Crosstrek Sport, hopefully by February! I highly recommended giving your business to Subaru Outaouais, and ask for Roberto!

Today we bought our first Subaru with the help of Roberto Almonte. Roberto is a great person. He was very patient and showed us almost all the cars available in the showroom. He didn't push us and let us decide. I felt very comfortable buying car at Subaru Outaouais.

Je suis maintenant à ma deuxième expérience de location de voiture avec Subaru Outaouais. La première était en 2010, et la deuxième en novembre 2021.

Mon expérience la plus récente a été tout à fait agréable. Roberto est un conseiller accueillant, bien informé, engagé, et sympathique. Il est demeuré en contact de façon soutenue avec des bulletins réguliers sur l’état de la commande, durant le processus de livraison, et à quelques reprises par la suite. Il s’est montré légitimement soucieux de mon bien-être dès le premier instant.

Qui plus est, l’équipe de soutient au complet, du directeur financier, en passant par le directeur aux ventes, le personnel de soutien à l’accueil, au service, et jusqu’aux pièces, sont allés au-delà pour s’assurer d’une expérience rassurante.

Je n’aurais aucune réserve à recommander Roberto et l’équipe à des amis et membres de ma famille.

Si je pouvais, je métrerais 0 étoile. Il faut dire les choses comme ils le sont. SEUL point positif le personnel/ employées est respectueux.
Subaru Gatineau à ÉVITER FORTEMENT! Je pourrais vous dire même pas oser d’y vous aventurer. Après de 3 rendez-vous puis de centaines de dollars payés, ils sont venus avec une facture de réparation à faire de presque 5000$. D’ailleurs, les problèmes n’ont jamais été réparés.
À ÉVITER, ÉVITER, ÉVITER, c’est vraiment malheureux que les consommateurs sont prix au piège avec certaines compagnies.
Si n’est pas encore claire, À ÉVITER ÉVITER ÉVITER À TOUT PRIX, je vous déconseille fortement du côté service d’entretien ou n’importe quelle réparation. Apportez votre voiture chez le BOUCHER probablement vous allez avoir de meilleurs résultats.
À ÉVITER, NE GASPILLEZ PAS VOTRE $$$, VOTRE TEMPS! C’EST TRÈS DÉCEVANT!

Le directeur de ce concessionnaire joue avec les mots et n'est volontairement pas clair au moment final de la transaction. Par exemple, il dit qu'il vend des pneus 4 saisons mais en fait il sont non homologué pour le Québec! Ne vous faites pas avoir à l'achat comme moi, exiger des pneus homologués. Bref, en gros, vendeurs sympathiques mais directeur crosseur.

What a great experience! My colleague recommended Subaru Outaouais and they delivered exactly what we needed. Bruno Lopez helped us with our purchase of a new Crosstrek during these crazy COVID times and we were extremely happy with the customer service! He was extremely knowledgeable (addressed all of our questions/concerns), professional, and approachable but most of all, he was very pleasant to work with. Service a la clientele sur place est bon, juste le service des pieces au telephone peut etre frustrant. La plupart du temps il faut laisser un message telephonique et normalement ils retournent ton appel assez rapidement. Prix des pieces est moins cher que Ogilvie Subaru. Presque 2 a 3 fois moins cher, je ne sais pas pourquoi, mais jai toujours eu des meilleurs prix chez Subaru Outaouais que Ogilvie Subaru.

Worst car buying experience ever! After 4 weeks of waiting I was notified that my car was ready for pickup. A few days later, I was notified by voicemail, that they had made a mistake and that they hadn’t actually received my car. Everyone I talked to seemed to blame someone else, no compensation or real explanation was given as to how this had happened. I then had to wait another 2 weeks for my car. It was a very frustrating buying experience. Buy a Subaru from another dealership and save yourself the headache.

I had been car shopping for two days straight and was pretty exhausted by the time I got to Subaru Outaouais. Roberto was so awesome - he organized a test drive on the vehicles I was interested in. He was super informative and was a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend him if you’re interested in a Subaru!

Repairs are definitely more expensive here than elsewhere, but I appreciated the convenience, customer service, and reliability. Unfortunately, I just spent $300 to re-repair a repair I had completed only two weeks ago as well as several careless items including the windshield wiper cap left open. Won't be going back.

Only the car parts department have decent customer service, probably because they know 99% of Subaru owners will be spending most of their time and money with them. Everyone else seems annoyed at the slightest presence of a customer.

I availed their exterior & interior detailing but when I picked it up I was so disappointed it looks like it was only car wash vacuum and put some wax on it. And I ask about those tiny rust spots on my car which wasn’t removed and they said it would cost me additional $60 on top of the detailing cost which is $149 tax included. I showed them that the inside wasn’t properly vacuumed which he offer to have it done but I refuse since we have some other things to do. We left the car for 8 hours yet they failed to provide the service that we expect. We haven’t encounter this problem from them before.

My wife and I had a great shopping experience when we visited Marc Fleurent at Subaru Outaouais. Marc was very patient, professional and honest in providing us great details of the deferent vehicle models and capabilities. Also, above average sales people experiences I encountered with other dealers, Marc presented us to the Service Manager for Technical questions that were answered on the spot.
